Practice practice practice your music in advance! Make sure you get it all down right. you're going to be the leader of some very great musicians and they will be looking up to you.
Practice 10x more than them. Your band director will notice. Work really hard to be better then them. But don't be too mean! You've got to be friends with your chair mates haha
