In a case like Lucy Letby's, there is no such thing as beyond doubt evidence that she killed those babies and yet she's got life! For how long we're going to continue sentencing people without evidence?
It has happened to me, and despite only serving a short sentence the ramifications continue, I am not the man I was and cannot see how I will ever shake off the anger I now feel towards the system, how an impartial judge can advise a jury that I am not to be trusted because, on a solicitors advice I exercised my right to silence, I could not be of good character because of an offence 42 years prior to the case, and my level of alcohol questioned by him despite me giving samples on arrest, that the police decided not to have analysed is beyond my comprehension. The system comes down to a popularity contest acted out by 2 people (Barristers) In front of 12 people (The jury) Who know nothing of the law but are swayed by argument, they need no interference from the "impartial" Arbiter of proceedings, but in my case that's what they got, my offence? Section 20 GBH, the CCTV evidence? As grainy as it is shows unequivocally that I was attacked, the 2 witnesses called both concurred with my version of events that I had come under a torrent of abuse prior to me confronting my assailant to see why he was shouting at me. The Judge said there was no precedence for suspending my sentence and was considering, on top of jailing me a compensation order for the "Victim" Who had by this time died. When my Barrister pointed out that by sending me to jail I was in no position to pay compensation should such an order be granted, his honour (I use the word guardedly) Said I could sell mine and my partners house as it must have some equity in it. 22 month sentence of which I did 6 months in custody, my Barrister advised me not to appeal on the grounds the judge may extend the sentence, do I wish I had appealed? Yes of course, but I also wish I had taken the option of the inference of a non custodial sentence for a guilty plea. Despite knowing I wasn't guilty, I just trusted the system. More fool me.
I was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment for a crime I did not commit even though all 12 jury found me unanimously innocent of what I was on trial for!, there is so much evidence that proves my innocence but I don’t have the money to fight for justice, my mom & dad died while I was in prison I was refused to attend my dads funeral, I cry almost every night I’m in depression I have suicidal thoughts, all this pain for a crime I did not commit.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Devon Kenneth thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
that is because the cops bent over backwards to put him there, it has taken 19 years for them to pull their heads out of each others asses and admit their mistake.
Inside Justice is an incredible organisation. Tragically, every government since 2010 has systematically cut funding for the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC), making it progressively harder for miscarriages of justice to be overturned. In addition, the government has cut compensation and made it harder to qualify for compensation in cases where a conviction has been overturned. One particularly sinister feature of miscarriages of justice is that the police can withhold evidence and destroy forensic evidence with impunity. In some cases, the government uses Public Interest Immunity (PII) to justify non-disclosure of evidence. In many cases PII is justified, but it has been abused, such as in the case of Jeremy Bamber.
This idvisory board needs more recognition for the wonderful work they do. It's doubtful in the chaos of a wrongful conviction, people would know what to do or where to look.
Can any of these cases be reviewed 2022 and others? Can any police be brought to justice ie Birmingham 6 case etc ( are any alive)? Need new laws where if a person or persons is arrested and taking to a police cell, police custody, they should be allowed to record own police with own phone during interviews and more cctv in police custody, yes to investigate, interview, not to beat up people etc and this mobile phone can be used in court so anyone arrested is not intimidated by a gang of police ie 8 against 1 this reduces accusations against police and reduces brutal force of individuals in police establishment s
Props to the women who set up this charity in the UK. In New Zealand I have been falsely charged, and wrongly found guilty. The State blocked me from receiving Legal Counsel at trial and any time there after. I can prove a District Court Magistrate deliberately altered the Court transcript in order to find me guilty, he than fabricated his Reserved Judgment and I can prove it.... and I'm only getting started. The Manukau District Court and the Auckland High Court blocked me from ever overturning any Judgments. I have thirteen miscarriages of justice cases against me. Thirteen wrongful convictions. I was thrown in jail until I agreed to give the Court jurisdiction to sentence me, when I finally agreed I was released from prison. Sounds unreal but these are only a fraction of this mistreatment I've suffered at the hands of the NZ government. No Lawyer/Barrister will represent me. No one... I'm Maori my name is Robin NH Tamihere.
INSIDE JUSTICE IS NOW MY FAVORITE CRIME DOCUMENTARY

as long as you have verdicts handed out only by jurys and not by judges....
