I like the roller-door design. There are newer versions of this that are one piece. There is no need to mount the solar panel and run a cable with those. I like that it opens and closes quickly and has a sensitive anti-pinch feature.
We bought this door. It installed easy. The remote would not work even after changing the battery. The auto open and close worked for about three weeks then stopped. The manual open close buttons on the back of the solar panel work, but a bad place for them as you have to put the panel at a height of for my 5’-2” wife to reach. The instructions were not clear on programming the timer for open and closing. No website listed on the two page manuel, and no brand listed on the useless remote. Ordered on Amazon. HotRose is the logo on the front of the door.
It looks like you didn't get the same one that we review. Tinpok is the brand of the one we reviewed. We didn't have the same issues. I would reach out to Amazon!
@@thereviewvideos I ordered one that looks the same but says it is brand fohoa. Although the leads were on the wrong side meaning I couldn't connect it like in the pciture it was great for 6 months but I touched the cord connecting the solar to the door and it stopped working a few weeks ago. I ordered the Avwin (green top) and it only worked for one day. How long has yours been working? Promotion is 11 months ago. I might try this one if it is still working. Thank you
@@m-leebaker2727 These are cheaply bought from China. Lots of companies buy the same one, rename it, and put out their own instructions so that it looks different enough online to be thought of as it's own brand. It's not. We're all buying the same one.
@erinreiss9507 And they are all cheap junk. The updated unit with a separate control and solar panel is a much better unit. They still use the same door.
I only recently purchased this product so I'm still waiting to make myfinal decision. It was definetly easy to install that part was clear. The rest of it was not clear at all. We purchased mainly so that if we went on an overnight camping trip the ladies could get in and out at their usual time. Ours came with an app for your phone which is the only way to program the open and close times. We are still wondering how this will work if my cell phone is not paired with the bluetooth on the door. I agree with one of the other followers, the buttons on the back of the solar panel is not the best place! No help at all way up there on the roof! Over all so far the ladies seem to enjoy it and figured it out right out of the gate. Let's hope it solves our issue.
It would have been nice if you had mentioned the brand. Not everyone wants to support Amazon, and that's not the only place you can buy a coop door. That's all about you and not about the consumer.
Hi there! You must be new here, totally understandable. We make these videos with affiliate links in them to direct you to the exact product. So we review the product related to the link. If we posted a link to somewhere else, it's not going to be the same. Many of the brands we work with are only on Amazon. I hope that helps you understand a bit more about what we do here. Thanks!

I don’t have chickens or know anyone that has chickens but this is really cool

The timer and remote are especially helpful.
Agreed!

They can probably figure out the rest of it for you also. 😅
In the Australian sun the solar battery is useless. I had one, stopped working in teo days
I hope you reached out to the company. We have used this for far longer then two days. . . .
@@thereviewvideos I have and they tried to blame my operating skills and were reluctant to refund me. Luckily ebay honour their return policy.

It’s shit, if you go up to it at night with a flash light the door opens…
Well duh. It opens with a flashlight because it's light sensitive for daylight. We love this thing! it's really helped keep our chickens safe!
@@thereviewvideos never have I had any thing open with a flash light. 🤦♀️
Don’t waste you time…
I didn't waste my time. We still have this and it still operates!
