omg, footwork is the best ive seen at such a young age.
and his shots are exactly where he wants them to be, such a pro.
hope he does good when he is old enough to compete in junior tournaments.

Good job! Just make sure that the kid is happy and do not push him too much.. Pity on him. Keep on the good effort on training him. We (the Malaysian) would really love to see Clarence represent Malaysia at the international badminton tournament in the future. If he well trained in Mental and physical, He will definately become a great player more than Sidek's Sons and Dtk LCWei. And hopefully he will read all these comments on that time. God Bless You, Clarence... And may your dream come true.

By coincidence, we met him, Zhu Lin, BCL and Zhang Ning at the KL airport. Earlier in the day we were at the stadium to witness LD and ZL win the 2007 World Championship. We couldn't get near them during the autograph session.

He will be exactly 7 this December. He is a quick learner to acquire so much skill in so short a time. Some of the clips are actually his first day in the court 11 months ago.

He could be Lin Dan's cousin. Of all the places in the world, we share the same ancestral hometown as Lin Dan. We have an ancestral home at Foo Yang village on the outskirt of Long Yan City in Fujian Province. With such a coincidence, perhaps Clarence can draw some inspiration.

  • @koaylt

The boy just took part in an U8 competition. Lost in the 3rd round to the eventual champion. A considerable achievement for a boy who hit the shuttle over the net first time exactly a year ago today. Already he is so quick that he can handle 20 shuttles thrown left and right in 19 seconds(0.95s per shot) . Watch out the clip soon. Clarence Snr.

without any discouragement for the nice guy clarence, i fel kids of that age do reasonably well if he or she has the passion for badminton or for that matter any sport . i feel it is the regularity in a sport which automaticaly takes u to these heights. wel clarence can be good bet if he keeps his focus . VISIT AT LUDHIANA BADMINTON ACADEMY IN INDIA I THE CITY OF LUDHIANA PUNJAB AND one can find good talent which can match clarence

he does not give up even after falling on the ground. So why his parents and coach give up providing him good training. If on the age of 19 someone wants to be champions, his training should start as early as possible. Others will start learning the game at 14-15 and they will keep applauding for players of his kind. DON'T GIVE UP.

@avoidas The kid only had once a week lessons for about 10 months up to the time of this video. He is not training as hard as u think. And he is playful and very sociable, and certainly not the robot u imagined. There are many kids training much more than him. You haven't seen them yet, so you are not so experienced yourself.
