Actually a really cool pilot. Kinda sad this didn't get picked up.
CBS is to blame for this, they always reject pilots.
It would've been nicer if the last two people that were introduced weren't actors. I remember Amy Lawhorn. She's been on at least one other game show. So I decided to look up if she's a professional game show contestant. Which sucks that people can have a job winning on game shows when most people can't get picked for any. Google doesn't say so, but it shows her pics and movie list. They also say she's Amy Argyle. Cliff is an actor as well. He has an Explore Talent page. Look up "Cliff Bolton coach" and you'll find his Explore Talent page. I thought that he looked familiar. He was also on World's Strictest Parents. A CMT/MTV show. They have that show here on UA-cam. Just look up "Cliff Bolton World's Strictest Parent". UA-cam will fill it in for you. There's at least a clip of his episode posted. He was younger when he did that show. So what does that say about this game show🤔...? That's what ruins game shows. The few that have professional game show contestants and or actors posing as real, legit contestants. Though you never see professional contestants on The Price Is Right. They would've had to of done that one first 'cause a rule for the to even sit in the audience to be a potential contestant is that you haven't been on a game show in the past 10 years. So it sucks to be called up last and not getting to play a game on The Price Is Right 'cause that person is one of the people that can't try again to be on the show for another 10 years. It's a great rule for the most part. So If you remember a contestant named Bob on a few game shows, he's a professional game show contestant. I don't know how that's allowed. It's slightly less worse than being a professional juror. Yeah, people can make a career out of being a court trial juror. Though that doesn't prevent the government from asking almost every adult American citizen at least once to spend about 5 days checking to hopefully not be a juror. Most people want to be a game show contestant; not a juror. So at least let us be on a game show; the thing we want to do.
It's also odd that Amy and Cliff are being filmed more than the rest. Or they at least used more of the shots of them. Plus they were put closer to the host in the first race which always seems like that's where the camera usual is on a game show that has a big studio like this one.
I was enthralled just when the announcer was describing it at the start. Really cool idea.
This show was GREAT in the UK. I was always surprised they didn't bring it here.
It would need some work to do that but it would be feasible with some changes.
Apparently some people didn’t like it, which is a shame. This is a good show!

The UK version is so much better (except for the cohost who would talk to family members in the audience for their “opinions”). The UK had a better set and a better end game.

This would be a perfect fit for ESPN if they wanted to jump back into the Game Show arena
@@allankelly2500 It's funny you should say that. I was thinking ABC would have picked this up with their success with Wipeout, and Holey Moley.
It was intended for CBS, but they passed on it.
I'm shocked this never got picked up. I think this show is extremely entertaining! Chris is also the perfect host for it

I wish the US had realized sooner the power of good set design. This just looks like all the other prime time shows, as opposed to the UK version which had a more immersive atmosphere and GREAT crowd ambiance.
Oh, the US knows about good set design, but unfortunately they turn the good set into a cookie cutter. That's why everything looks like American Idol.
I like this concept it reminds me of a cross between American Gladiators and The Moneymaze.

You know, this was an awesome pilot episode. I wish it was picked up. This looks like a lot of fun!
The only bad part... was Jason. Of course.
That last part was brutal. I'd have imagined myself to be the Hulk or Popeye to break free from that car wash.
I wish this show made it on air in the US. This is like a grown-up version of Double Dare.
Well, this pilot WAS made in the U.S., so... closest thing?
Actually, if you think about it, it resembles both versions of Double Dare, the quiz, and the stunts!
Chris Hardwick did a good job on this show. It's a shame the poor guy hit the wall after this. 😏😉

*EPIC PILOT!!!*
Not as good as what we got.
In the one we got, the music was badass, the host would read out the questions which were association questions (E.G. In which sport would you associate Freddie Flintoff? The correct answer is Cricket) and the last one standing would face a final challenge which uses the clues for the correct answer and the buzzer is moving away from you. A correct answer would move up the money ladder, should the finalist get a wrong answer or if the buzzer reaches the end, they go down a level and win that amount. They can stop at anytime but, getting all five questions correct will win £100,000

Only 5 mins in and I can already see why this pilot didn’t get picked up. This show doesn’t have character. In the U.K. ( where the show was actually picked up), there was a lot of character in the set, in the contestants, in the host and co-hostess and in the challenges. This doesn’t have any character at all in any element whatsoever, making this whole 19 yards boring to sit through. If anyone disagrees, please remember that this is only my opinion!
Damn, this looks like a great show. What could've been if this got picked up.
He also hosted the game show "The Wall" with $12-13 mil, created by Andrew Glassman *Glassman Media* and also NBCUniversal.
This game show is like Capture the Flag because the whole 19 yards is like an obstacle course with a buzzer that is 57 feet away or 684 inches which is 114 times to hit the buzzer.

2009. Had the show actually made it to air, they should've awarded at least $1,000 for each completed course for the runners up who didn't make it to the finals.
I like this, I would have tried to watch this if this would have gotten picked up. I would have been okay on the clues, but not the physical part of this game.
Yeah, the physical stuff is crazy, especially that last one.
Neat show! BTW, Mike's from only about an hour or so from where I grew up.

Hardwick asked if winning this game is brains or brawn. I think it's mostly brawn. Cause seriously, those questions weren't that hard.

The second stunt reminds me of the three villains from Krypton in Superman 2 blowing everything around.

I think I can see why I have never heard of this and why this didn't sell. With the kind of stunts they used here, I'm afraid that not enough people would want to do them in the long run. I don't think this show would've lasted a very long time simply because this show wouldn't have been able to get enough contestants who had the courage and the stamina to go through it. It's too much.
It was tiring! But super fun!
The first challenge had no effort at all. I mean they could have oiled up the slides to make it even tougher instead of socks.

I actually found this to be an interesting concept. I get where the title is coming from, but it's a little clunky.
They picked this up from the UK or the UK picked this up and it was a success over there. Too bad this didn't pick up.

I was feeling this up until the last round. But with better games, this could work today....although Ellen already beat them to it with her show.

Decent pilot, though I'm not a fan of them scrapping the bonus round the UK version had and just giving the winner a straight $50,000.
I mean, after that flypaper challenge I don't think they'd want to do another round
