Same here. I double checked my Wi-Fi password and I’m doing everything correctly but the robot just won’t connect to the router. I don’t even get a reason why. The app stays on the last screen in perpetuity.
@@dragonalchemist95 right. It’s extremely frustrating because I’ve followed all the troubleshooting tips. Made sure the password is right. Made sure I’m on 2.4 ghz. I love the vacuum itself but I feel like I’m not getting what I paid for.
@@billbrasky1288 I had to make sure I had activated my 2.4GHz wifi. My old wifi had two distinct networks so it was easy to choose which one the robot would connect to (only 2.4). We got the eero mesh on prime day and this time I had to turn off the 5GHz network using the eero app so that it would force the robot to connect to the 2.4. I hope that helps you regain your sanity!
I have this issue with a newer model I just bought but another issue that really bothers me is that, about one every other day, I have to re-login to use the app. It's not a huge issue but it's a pain in the ass to have to type all those characters in my phone that often. Is there a way to just make it stay logged on?
My Shark robot was working great. Few weeks ago 'Bozo' got stuck and lost wifi connection. After I charged him back up, I have tried and tried to connect wifi back up. The wifi light is on, but that is it. In this video I was hoping you would tell how to reconnect wifi.
Yes. For some reason the app and any instructions you find tell you one thing but what you actually need to do is press dock and spot at the same time. I had tons of trouble finding something that'll tell you this until one day I was messing around with mine and tried this and found it to work. I hope it works for you too!
I have the model rv725_N and i cant even register mine in the app because it wont connect at all iv pushed both buttons at the same time my wifi is great my phone is great but the robot just doesnt want to connect at all iv even restarted it im sooo frustrated im almost starting to think its like a factory defect
I was able to do it using my son's iPhone and then now is visible from my android. My husband's says it had difficulties finding the wifi and when he tried from the iPhone then it worked. Once connected, now I see it with the app in my android
this is at best a temporary fix. Please let Shark know of this issue. They have had minor success in fixing the firmware of this vacuum over the years i had it.
WTH? Video cut short or what dawg? Just got a brand new unit today and it flat out refuses to even connect to my phone. I'm sending this junk back tomorrow, had me furious for two hours trying to hook this thing up.
I am dealing with the same issue even after talking to two different tech's at Sharp. I think the unit is defective or the app is. However I've just let it unit clean without the wifi. I have a two story house so it can't climb stairs. I just carry the unit upstairs and let it do it's thing without the wifi.
Lost it, could never get it to connect in the first place
Me too

@@billbrasky1288 I’m having the exact same problem and can’t figure it out. I’ve placed the vacuum as close as I can to the router
Same here and they sent me a replacement and still have the issue

What if I have gotten a new wifi router
The app prompts me to hold clean and dock at the same time to initiate. But you need to hold dock and max at the same time. RV754
You saved my sanity with the dock/max combo. Thanks for that comment!
@@kristenrush1759 but my sanity is still shaky. It still wont connect to my Wi-Fi.

@@kristenrush1759 not really. I’ve already made sure it was the 2.4 ghz network but I thank you for the tip.
Thanks. I was getting ready to trash this. You saved its life.

Check your wifi SSID, if it has 2 words in the name it will not connect, connected right away after that.
