After reading some comments I decided to go back and retry some Toons again and it has me adjusting my placements. - Scraps D -> E (Above Rodger) I slightly overrated her survivability, and I now more so realize how little she does/provide. - Boxten E -> D (Below Poppy) I underrated the value of having his good extraction speeds while keeping solid survivability. - Glisten C -> B (Below Flutter) As many have pointed out, I underrated his overall extraction speeds. That extraction with his survivability definitely warranted a higher tier. - Gigi B -> C (Below Brightney) This was my original placement for her, however I moved her up during the making of this video. After uploading I think she fits better next to Finn in C. Also a little shifty on the Tisha placement, thinking of moving her down. I still don't think Boxten is undoubtedly better than Poppy, though I can understand placing them at the similar level. I also can't see Rodger going any higher, as although he has good extraction, his mobility is poor. Also has no ability in a gameplay sense (which this tier list is based off of). I appreciate hearing second opinions as it helps improve my views on Toons and the game in general. It challenges my original opinion and makes me think more critically about them.
One thing you could have mentioned while talking about Vee is that her passive lets her know if the last machine is being worked on so she can tell everyone to go to the elevator, This is very useful since low-movement speed or low-stealth toons can get to the elevator without having to cross the map with the risk of gettting hit during panic mode.

Personal tier list: (yap session ahead) F Tier: Shrimpo. D Tier: Razzle and Dazzle - Very mid and never worth using compared to literally any other toon (except Shrimpo) Scraps - As a “survivalist,” her stats really don’t help when doing that. She can’t distract nor extract, meaning it’s basically just a wasted slot. Her ability is also selfish, leading to no actual help to your team in game. Just mediocre. Atleast she’s consistent… Poppy - Suffers from the same issues as Scraps, except her stat pool is overall better. Again, her ability is selfish, so not much help to her team, plus it requires you take damage, when you could just pick a toon that could just run away instead of taking damage… C Tier: Toodles - Better survivalist then scraps due to her stealth, and a fine ability that can help with extraction or distraction every blue moon. No real reason to use her if you have other choices though. Rodger - This video really made me realize how mid Rodger is. His extraction is fine for what it is and his higher stealth helps him a lot (cough cough Glisten cough cough literally any other non-skillcheck extractor except Boxten) Boxten - First good extractor that helps your team if used well. Honestly don’t understand why he’s below Poppy in the video… Teagan - Another better survivalist that can go on way longer with her heals. Nothing special. B Tier: Finn - Solid extractor with a nice ability. Even if he’s a weaker Shelly, he’s still good. Glisten - Very good extractor who suffers from an issue most extractors have, low stealth. His ability however, is one of the best in the game, even if it is selfish. Cosmo - Very good if used right, and as the video says, allows everyone to stay at full health easier. Even if he gets overshadowed a bit by Sprout, there’s different benefits to each. Brightney - Good extractor whose only real downside is her stealth. Decent ability, but is overshadowed by Vee a looooooot. Flutter - Pretty good distractor whose ability is very good for both survival and distracting. Not much else. A Tier: Goob - Toon who is not only good at distracting, but very good for helping teamates survive with his ability. Gigi - Gigi really is underrated. Great extractor whose only real downside is stamina. You can easily negate this however with her ability, which is probably one of the best abilities in the game. Tisha - The most versatile toon in the entire game, and can do each of them well. Great extractor, distractor, and support. Astro - There’s definitely a reason why Astro has gotten the most buffs out of any toon. He was always underpowered for a while, especially for being the most expensive toon. After the update however, he’s very good, even if he’s the weakest main imo. Great support and passive that helps his ability even more. Sprout - Best healer in the game and a good distractor. His ability both helps him locate toons to heal and look out for toons like Brightney when distracting. Great option. S Tier: Shelly - 2nd best extractor due to her great skillcheck and very good abilities. Also a very good support. Pebble - Best distractor due to his high speed and ability that practically negates low stealth toons interfering with distracting. Before the update he probably would have been high A Tier though. Vee - Not very surprising. Best extraction in the game by far, best abilities in the game by far, she has it all. Even if she has low survivability, her ability can help both her and her team in any situation when needed. Excels in blackouts better than Brightney imo. So uh yeah that’s my tier list. I would heavily disagree with glisten’s placement and put him much lower. Like compared to other extractors, he can be pretty mediocre. Many people overrate him because of his 5 star extraction speed. Having a low skill check is a huge trade off especially when his only purpose is just to complete machines. Skill check is far more faster in completing machines than extraction speed because 2 of the top 3 trinkets in extracting rely on skill check. There is a reason why shelly is faster than glisten in extracting. Secondly, his ability is not even that great. Like sure you can escape from dangerous situations but you need a teammate to be alive and close by in order to teleport. His ability is practically useless in solos and without it, his survivability can be pretty average. And even on teams, you won’t even need to use it if you have distractors. Instead of you can just use an extractor with higher stealth increase your chances of not engaging in twisteds. Overall, he’s outclassed by other extractors in terms of solo and large parties. He’s not even the best extractor and other extractors can provide additional support other than completing machines. He lacks team value and solo value and is just completely selfish as a character.
@@Apersonwhoisfuni boxten ability is so team related. Nowadays people won't play with starter toons and this will probably force them to play alone. Poppy on the other hand, is a very good solo toon. Even though people won't play with beginners, they can still play solo and has a higher chance of reaching higher floors
I don't think vee excels better than brightney during blackouts, if we're talking about their active ability, then britghtney is overall better, specially that blackouts is where she excels at, having a much shorter cooldown and longer duration of 8seconds, plus you can't really compare these two as they both have different uses in the team
honestly i can easily disagree on every single one of them expect for all the S characters and, well, Shrimpo. for example Poppy being above Boxten is such idiocy, and rodger is actually a good extractor for his high enough stealth unlike some of others making him less of a nuisance for distractors. i would go on more but im not in mood to see yall go "aint reading all that" after writing a paragraph
Poppy is just such a counteractive character, her survivability is absolute dog water because there is no point in "survivability" if you have to take a hit to be able to activate your speed boost. Also, I believe having literally any item that boosts your stamina, walkspeed, etc. Can all replace poppy as you don't have to take a heart in order to be able to activate them. A 50% speed boost on higher floors seems nice if you get hit, but if it lasts for 3 seconds and you encounter another twisted while trying to run away from one then you're essentially going to take another hit unless you have enough stamina to avoid that twisted or are able to juke the twisted and run away. Lastly, rating poppy above boxten feels like a war crime, especially when you consider boxten is just a 5 ext 3 speed 3 stealth character which is insanely nice. (If your team isn't just randoms, in which poppy becomes slightly better than boxten but just use a different character atp)
If Poppy gets hit by a twisted while low stamina, she can easily get out of the chase with the little stamina she has. Getting hit while low stamina is basically a death sentence because you won't have enough stamina to loop them around an object.
I hate how everybody is saying that x character should be in a higher tier because they are better with trinkets, literally every character is better with trinkets and it wouldn't even make sense to include trinkets if we are comparing characters.
As a sprout and shelly main, I honestly agree with their placements. Imo, they have one of the funnest playstyles in the game. I also use RND. RND is good if used right. Though I kinda agree with the placement cause flip flopping can be annoying. The trinkets I use for RND are ribbon spool and speedshoes/dogplush. Ribbon spool being obvious, and speedshoes and dogplush so RND can distract. Also speed trinkets are a MUST when playing rnd. As rnd has 1 movement speed on even floors. {edited} Rewatching the video….uhh….some placements don’t really make sense. Boxten below poppy….Glisten in C….and just some other stuff. Other than that, Good video!
Personally, the Rodger one and Toodles one HURT. I have played my best in solo runs as Rodger or Toodles, and I have vintage of every character! I dont understand it-

Umm unpopular take, but brightney should be in A tier even S! First, her 1 star stealth isnt bad, its not like u cant get off twisteds forever, she technically has 2 abilities, her bright lights in blackout and her navigating, HER COOLDOWN IS LIKE 40 her 4 star extraction speed and 4 star stamina is is also nice! Brightney is probably my least favorite toon. Not only is she super tedious to use due to getting spotted by twisteds all the time, but she’s a PAIN for distractors (pebble main talking here). I don’t goddamn care that she extracts fast, I have Rodger with dog plush and speedy shoes and he does just fine. Like Finn being Shelly but worse, Brightney is vee but worse and even more annoying to use.
ok time for a yap session apologies 😥I feel that glisten shouldnt be in C tier, you mentioned only his skillcheck and stealth were bad as well as his long ability cooldown. First off, ability cooldown shouldnt be too much of a problem because if you have a distractor and a brain then you shouldnt even be encountering twisteds too often, so when you do, you can escape perfectly fine with his ability, making the long cooldown not much of a problem. His skillcheck is what balances him considering hes already a survivalist and extractor at the same time, not every character is going to be perfect and that is his flaw. But it's not even that bad considering you could always use magnifying glass, and the skillchecks are not even too hard to hit. Lastly, his stealth is basically irrelevant due to his ability as it just ensures you can survive with the low stealth. He also has 3 speed and 3 stamina which is good considering the rest of his stats and sometimes you don't even need to rely on his teleport. I feel like he deserves high B tier at the very least, but A tier would make the most sense, at least in my opinion. this isnt meant to come off as aggresive btw just trying to make a point

Being a good or bad toon is deternined by what the Toon offers by himself without taking into account the player's skills. And R&D doesn't bring much to the table. Being able to survive Long with a toon doesn't make him good. Hope that helps.

FINALLY someone who hates boxten as well. I can't stand people saying "b-but he is a great extractor!" or "H-he is the best toon in the game!" like no?? He is just plain stats, and you have to play with a good server that won't die on floor 1 or your ability is completely useless. You can't even do solo runs.
He's not the best Toon in the game; but he's a good Toon supported by the fact that he has well-rounded and fairly average stats which is comparatively a much better alternative to Rodger (when excluding his ability). Being plain stats isn't a bad thing, no? If you're playing Boxten with a server that dies on floor 1 that's sort of a you problem. Try to find a better team; remember, leaving is an option. Additionally, that or play with friends. Playing with randoms is a gamble; and I wouldn't recommend playing Boxten with a team made up of randoms. Meanwhile Poppy has the most useless ability in the entire game. She's meant to be a survivalist, but as another commenter stated, "there is no point in "survivability" if you have to take a hit to be able to activate your speed boost." Plus, there's a handful of items out there that can be an alternative to Poppy's ability, and they're not even that rare to find in runs. Sure, you might have to take a gamble specifically with the Enigma Candy, but it's a better alternative to Poppy. If Poppy's ability can be replaced by something that's not even that rare to find in runs longer than 10 floors then what's the point of using her? I argue that using Poppy's ability on one or two hearts is useless. I wouldn't recommend trying to use it on two, because it'll put you down to one heart, without any sort of healing item. Not to mention, if you use it on one heart you just die. Sacrificing one heart for 50% more speed for THREE SECONDS is a terrible exchange rate; at most you'll only be able to use Poppy's ability twice without heals. Which is subjective, as the spawn rates depend on luck. And if you're playing with randoms as Poppy in a public server, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE is going to give you heals that they found; instead they'll most likely give it to other Toons; simply because of how starters are frowned upon in the DW community due to their reputation of ruining runs. Boxten is essentially 3 stars on everything and 5 extraction speed. And even without a full lobby, 4 star extraction speed is still pretty good with 4 players. Especially with no drawbacks. I see a decent amount of Poppy defenders every now and then, and their primary argument is "you can't even do solo runs while playing Boxten". Literally just play another character; from how I see it Boxten is a team player and Poppy is a survivalist that can't do the surviving part. You could easily run into a Twisted while trying to get away from another using Poppy's ability, which essentially puts you down by another heart, especially in certain maps where it's more open and it's easy to encounter Twisteds. Not to mention; on higher floors there's obviously more Twisteds, so it's easier to encounter more. If you get hit on lower floors while not having 1-2 star movement speed on the Toon you're playing then that's just a plain skill issue.

putting boxten this low is wild, boxten can extract as fast as vee and keeps 3 star movement speed, hes not a bad toon at all, the only con being if people die he loses his ability, but if they dont then hes a great toon
Why do so many people make a big deal out of Glisten's 2 star skill check? Because of his extraction speed, it almost doesn't even exist to me, even when I use the magnifying glass. IMO he's better than vee cuz he is a good survivalist alongside being an amazing extractor. Also, Boxten should be ranked much higher. You pretty much explained it all, you just had to see it in a more positive way.
I would disagree. Vee adds more solo value and team value than glisten. She extracts faster and has a strong ability that can support the team. Glisten’s ability is useless in solos and its pretty mid in teams because you already have distractors.

my tier list 😀 E tier: Shrimpo, could be placed in D tier if its a kind exploiter who distracts. D tier: Scraps - Her overall ability is only high on surviving, She is not so bad but with her stats...eh. Both her extraction speed and speed is poor. Toodles - Good toon on stats but her passive is kinda bad, Overall, she's a mid character. RazzleDazzle - Both of their stats are good but when it comes to soloing RazzleDazzle, Odd floors is your weakness. Poppy - Her passive is mid. Decent extraction speed but her passive is bad when you are doing a "no hit" run. C tier: Rodger - Good for research, Not too bad. For me, his extraction speed can only be buffed with some extraction trinkets and items. Finn - Not so bad for a skill check based character, Can outrun any twisted in panic mode. Boxten - Decent stats, His extraction speed passive gets kinda useless if a few players die. Cosmo - Sometimes trading hearts is a BIG risk, The team can sometimes give you meds or bandaids but the problem of that is the players who take it without consent. Mid character. Teagan - Sometimes Teagans buy bandaids or get bandaids forgetting they can heal themselves. Decent movement speed and extraction. B tier: Glisten- Good extraction but a bit of bad movement speed, Overall good toon. Flutter - Some flutters are toxic, but shes a good distractor and with an overall good ability. Goob - Some goobs are toxic which makes it a downside of their popularity, They are good distractors and saviors. Astro - Decent extraction speed and speed. Again, most of the popularity can cause dramas and arguements. A tier: Gigi - Great character, but her downfall is stamina; can be buffed using speed trinkets. Tisha - Multiple roles; best character behind a few imo. Her speed boost is great for distractors, similar to Astro. Honestly, my 5th fav character because some of the Tisha popularity can be mean. Vee - Best extractor, Her ability is not so bad and her passive is helpful in blackouts. Shelly - Great support and extractor behind Vee! (her angsty makes her a tier bc its so juicy) Sprout and Pebble - Best distractors imo! I had to rush the last one cause i had to eat-
My list will be: S - vee (the best extractor in the game and has the support mechanics for distractors), Goob (in my opinion the perfect distractor because of low stealth and being a support), astro (the best source of stamina and the best support), pebble (only behind goob for having 3 stealth) A - toodles (For me, she's better than Gigi because she has well-rounded stats, and you also know which buffs you'll receive in the ability), Shelly (the second worst main because she only works in games with many players) brightney (perfect for blackouts and a great example of support), sprout (the worst main because she is very dependent on ribbons and in matches with more than one person), cosmo (one of the best support choices and the best survival toon) B - Rodger (gaining double stamina is very good, but low movement), Tisha (a great distractor for the beginning game and has balanced stats), Poppy (good choice for a beginner Toon and better than boxten to work in any type of run, solo or team), glisten (a vee 2.0 but has an ability that only works in a team), boxten (again, only works in a team run) C - teagan (Perfect for dandy runs, but nothing more), flutter (a good Toon that you can do some insane plays with its active), scraps (honestly I would be more down if I didn't have the need for buy first than goob) D - gigi (low stamina = high chance of death), E - r&d (A very tacky passive) F - shirimpo (Do I have to explain?)

I mean, he's a Shelly, but he's actually very useful, or even more than Shelly, obviously he doesn't gives a Extraction boost like Shelly, but, he can be very useful with a team or in solo runs, he deserves upper B for me. - Vee in S...I think it is a little overrated. To be honest I dont think she deserves S tier, her Extraction stats are very good, but, her survival Stats are just very trash, even worst than Brightney's, Vee can easily make twisteds that are distracted chase her, her ability can be useful...but not all the time, Brightney's atleast has a point about her ability, to be honest Vee is just a Brightney but "buffed", she deserves middle A for me. Vee has the ability that allows her to see twisteds which helps her to have better survivability,maybe even better than Brightney. Two stealth and two movement speed isn't that bad.And she is like..a support toon?She is really good with a team and still op without a team,just weaker.
I wish the rnd ability was toogleable. As a former rnd main, I had to use vanity mirror and spool to get to elevator last second. But if you want to do a 8 people run, yeah go for it!
I kinda disagree with rnds plscement, due to the trinket combo of ribbon, speedy, and or dogplush you distract on odd floors and then you have enough run/walk speed, to just be rodger though this does rely heavily on trinkets.
R&D is one of the worst or arguably because of their inconsistency. They suck at solo runs and many of their notable traits get outclassed by other toons when playing with other teams. It’s like playing two separate toons without an ability.
My list is gonna be short, bc I am a noob, and don’t have a lot oof toons so I don’t really know a lot of them S: Vee, my dream toon, great extraction A:Toodles, now before you judge. Toddles is really good with stealth, so it makes it quite easy to keep twisted from seeing you, and the ability cooldown is 25 seconds for a 10 second boost so you have a 15 second down time, also because of the stealth you can get the first 12 floors done pretty easy and then if u get the 2 cooldown cards, you only have 5 second downside so pretty good if ya ask me B: --- C: Rodger, just good for progress, and bloxston bc he’s decent D:Razzle bc bad moment speed and just better toons -99F. Shrimpo
Poppy is a good character! Just because starters don’t know how to use her doesn’t make her a bad character! It’s like if someone bought pebbles and don’t know how to use them and make them a bad character
16:57 Ima be honest, I think Vee is one of the best solo toons because her active is so OP. Like as long as you have both Rehersal cards, skill and knowledge you’re gonna make it to floor 20 no matter what. I always use the active when I don’t know the twisted’s location especially highly dangerous ones like Pebble, craft siblings, etc. Now, when on a Solo I ussually roll for Rodgee and Shelly trinket cuz Ichor. But if you want a further longevity then Pink Bow and Speedy Shoes would work well. AND WHAT IS IT WITH PEOPLE PUTTING DOG PLUSH ON LOW SPEEDY TOONS? DA HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WALK AWAY FROM THE TWISTEDS WITH MY ADDITIONAL 1-1.25 WALK SPEED?? 😭
I would disagree with some of the placements, since even thought Rodger has bad mobility you can compensate for that with speed trinkets. I understand putting him in E tier because of his ability, but you go over other toons who also have abilities that don't affect the team a lot and are only for self-benefit like Gigi and she's still higher then Rodger. Overall, I just think that maybe you could give him a chance or consider the other toons who have self-benefitting abilities too.
Even so, there are better options than Rodger without having to use speed trinkets like Shelly. Gigi is placed higher because of the chance of heals from her ability, which is good for an extractor. Rodger on the other hand has no abilities to compensate for his role.
I massively disagree with the toon placements of C, D and E. Those toons being: C-Finn - Ok this guy is atleast better than the 2 under him because he is very slightly better at extracting macs and escaping after, which lets him take priority over the last machines to best make use of his abilities. But he is not that much better at extracting anyways and you do not need the speed boost after extracting (just prime lol). 3/4 E tier toons >>> D-Poppy, scraps - vro how the frick are these 2 above most of the E tier toons 😭 i don’t think i need to explain much here, just because you have the better tools to survive doesn’t mean you’re better, even without them other toons can do this thing called: being out of the line of sight using your eyes. 3/4 E tier toons >>> E-Boxten, rodger, rnd - This is my main grudge with this tier list, you need a lot of convincing to convince me that these 3 are below POPPY, SCRAPS AND FINN just because they’re inconsistent/has mid survivability Besides that, this video is great, it has a lot of effort put into it. Also that’s just my opinion, call it stupid, good, invade my house and send me pipe bombs as a gift, whatever
Shelly deserve in S tier imo she make most floor faster by a ton fr (also she’s good at all her stats and her passive ability even boost up her only weakness which is speed) Vee should still stay in S (very slightly baseline S) bc vee literally make blackout floors 10000x easier Sprout in A is good Something about Astro though is that most of the run he’s kinda useless and if lets say Pebble need to distract twisted pebble then i can see him becoming handy but thats like one floor so Astro is A tier if not B tier bc most of the time peb don’t even cost stamina lol Pebble S def
Putting Razzle & Dazzle in E tier makes no sense. I have played as them multiple times and they’re ability isn’t bad at all. Plus they’re not hard to play as at all, sure the super slow speed on even floors is a issue, but….can’t you just use Ribbon Spool?
Every placement Id change, Boxten and poppy swap, Rodger up 1 because he’s not too bad, scraps down 1, brightney down to E she is so painful to play as with her stealth, Gigi down 1 she’s meh, Goob up 1 hes the best distracter (not for mains), Tisha down 1 she’s meh, Astro down 1 I don’t personally see him as anything special
To mention, tishas ability doesn’t work on herself, making her ability useless on solo runs. Skill check is a 4 which doesn’t make up from her two star extraction speed. And her stamina isn’t good. Shes supposed to be a support.

If you swapped poppy with boxten or shrimpo and put astro a lot lower because let's be honest, astro is like one of the worst ,if not, THE WORST MAIN!!!!
He is NOTHING like Tisha- Especially now with his buffed ability, being able to see who is low on stamina, he is an absolute life saver. You can easily live without Shelly on a team and while Vee can be really helpful to distractors, there are times where she can be unhelpful as well due to her low stealth. Astro’s ability, on the other hand, is run-saving without having any downsides. He’s the best support toon in the game, and thanks to his high stealth and passive, he’s probably one of the best survivalists as well (even though that’s not his role)

After reading some comments I decided to go back and retry some Toons again and it has me adjusting my placements.
- Scraps D -> E (Above Rodger)
I slightly overrated her survivability, and I now more so realize how little she does/provide.
- Boxten E -> D (Below Poppy)
I underrated the value of having his good extraction speeds while keeping solid survivability.
- Glisten C -> B (Below Flutter)
As many have pointed out, I underrated his overall extraction speeds. That extraction with his survivability definitely warranted a higher tier.
- Gigi B -> C (Below Brightney)
This was my original placement for her, however I moved her up during the making of this video. After uploading I think she fits better next to Finn in C.
Also a little shifty on the Tisha placement, thinking of moving her down.
I still don't think Boxten is undoubtedly better than Poppy, though I can understand placing them at the similar level.
I also can't see Rodger going any higher, as although he has good extraction, his mobility is poor. Also has no ability in a gameplay sense (which this tier list is based off of).
I appreciate hearing second opinions as it helps improve my views on Toons and the game in general. It challenges my original opinion and makes me think more critically about them.

One thing you could have mentioned while talking about Vee is that her passive lets her know if the last machine is being worked on so she can tell everyone to go to the elevator, This is very useful since low-movement speed or low-stealth toons can get to the elevator without having to cross the map with the risk of gettting hit during panic mode.

F Tier: Shrimpo.
D Tier: Razzle and Dazzle - Very mid and never worth using compared to literally any other toon (except Shrimpo)
Scraps - As a “survivalist,” her stats really don’t help when doing that. She can’t distract nor extract, meaning it’s basically just a wasted slot. Her ability is also selfish, leading to no actual help to your team in game. Just mediocre. Atleast she’s consistent…
Poppy - Suffers from the same issues as Scraps, except her stat pool is overall better. Again, her ability is selfish, so not much help to her team, plus it requires you take damage, when you could just pick a toon that could just run away instead of taking damage…
C Tier:
Toodles - Better survivalist then scraps due to her stealth, and a fine ability that can help with extraction or distraction every blue moon. No real reason to use her if you have other choices though.
Rodger - This video really made me realize how mid Rodger is. His extraction is fine for what it is and his higher stealth helps him a lot (cough cough Glisten cough cough literally any other non-skillcheck extractor except Boxten)
Boxten - First good extractor that helps your team if used well. Honestly don’t understand why he’s below Poppy in the video…
Teagan - Another better survivalist that can go on way longer with her heals. Nothing special.
B Tier:
Finn - Solid extractor with a nice ability. Even if he’s a weaker Shelly, he’s still good.
Glisten - Very good extractor who suffers from an issue most extractors have, low stealth. His ability however, is one of the best in the game, even if it is selfish.
Cosmo - Very good if used right, and as the video says, allows everyone to stay at full health easier. Even if he gets overshadowed a bit by Sprout, there’s different benefits to each.
Brightney - Good extractor whose only real downside is her stealth. Decent ability, but is overshadowed by Vee a looooooot.
Flutter - Pretty good distractor whose ability is very good for both survival and distracting. Not much else.
A Tier:
Goob - Toon who is not only good at distracting, but very good for helping teamates survive with his ability.
Gigi - Gigi really is underrated. Great extractor whose only real downside is stamina. You can easily negate this however with her ability, which is probably one of the best abilities in the game.
Tisha - The most versatile toon in the entire game, and can do each of them well. Great extractor, distractor, and support.
Astro - There’s definitely a reason why Astro has gotten the most buffs out of any toon. He was always underpowered for a while, especially for being the most expensive toon. After the update however, he’s very good, even if he’s the weakest main imo. Great support and passive that helps his ability even more.
Sprout - Best healer in the game and a good distractor. His ability both helps him locate toons to heal and look out for toons like Brightney when distracting. Great option.
S Tier:
Shelly - 2nd best extractor due to her great skillcheck and very good abilities. Also a very good support.
Pebble - Best distractor due to his high speed and ability that practically negates low stealth toons interfering with distracting. Before the update he probably would have been high A Tier though.
Vee - Not very surprising. Best extraction in the game by far, best abilities in the game by far, she has it all. Even if she has low survivability, her ability can help both her and her team in any situation when needed. Excels in blackouts better than Brightney imo.

I would heavily disagree with glisten’s placement and put him much lower. Like compared to other extractors, he can be pretty mediocre. Many people overrate him because of his 5 star extraction speed. Having a low skill check is a huge trade off especially when his only purpose is just to complete machines. Skill check is far more faster in completing machines than extraction speed because 2 of the top 3 trinkets in extracting rely on skill check. There is a reason why shelly is faster than glisten in extracting. Secondly, his ability is not even that great. Like sure you can escape from dangerous situations but you need a teammate to be alive and close by in order to teleport. His ability is practically useless in solos and without it, his survivability can be pretty average. And even on teams, you won’t even need to use it if you have distractors. Instead of you can just use an extractor with higher stealth increase your chances of not engaging in twisteds. Overall, he’s outclassed by other extractors in terms of solo and large parties. He’s not even the best extractor and other extractors can provide additional support other than completing machines. He lacks team value and solo value and is just completely selfish as a character.

Even though people won't play with beginners, they can still play solo and has a higher chance of reaching higher floors
I don't think vee excels better than brightney during blackouts, if we're talking about their active ability, then britghtney is overall better, specially that blackouts is where she excels at, having a much shorter cooldown and longer duration of 8seconds, plus you can't really compare these two as they both have different uses in the team

Poppy is just such a counteractive character, her survivability is absolute dog water because there is no point in "survivability" if you have to take a hit to be able to activate your speed boost.
Also, I believe having literally any item that boosts your stamina, walkspeed, etc. Can all replace poppy as you don't have to take a heart in order to be able to activate them.
A 50% speed boost on higher floors seems nice if you get hit, but if it lasts for 3 seconds and you encounter another twisted while trying to run away from one then you're essentially going to take another hit unless you have enough stamina to avoid that twisted or are able to juke the twisted and run away.
Lastly, rating poppy above boxten feels like a war crime, especially when you consider boxten is just a 5 ext 3 speed 3 stealth character which is insanely nice. (If your team isn't just randoms, in which poppy becomes slightly better than boxten but just use a different character atp)
If Poppy gets hit by a twisted while low stamina, she can easily get out of the chase with the little stamina she has. Getting hit while low stamina is basically a death sentence because you won't have enough stamina to loop them around an object.
I hate how everybody is saying that x character should be in a higher tier because they are better with trinkets, literally every character is better with trinkets and it wouldn't even make sense to include trinkets if we are comparing characters.
As a sprout and shelly main, I honestly agree with their placements. Imo, they have one of the funnest playstyles in the game.
I also use RND. RND is good if used right. Though I kinda agree with the placement cause flip flopping can be annoying. The trinkets I use for RND are ribbon spool and speedshoes/dogplush. Ribbon spool being obvious, and speedshoes and dogplush so RND can distract. Also speed trinkets are a MUST when playing rnd. As rnd has 1 movement speed on even floors.

Brightney is probably my least favorite toon. Not only is she super tedious to use due to getting spotted by twisteds all the time, but she’s a PAIN for distractors (pebble main talking here). I don’t goddamn care that she extracts fast, I have Rodger with dog plush and speedy shoes and he does just fine. Like Finn being Shelly but worse, Brightney is vee but worse and even more annoying to use.

ok time for a yap session apologies 😥I feel that glisten shouldnt be in C tier, you mentioned only his skillcheck and stealth were bad as well as his long ability cooldown. First off, ability cooldown shouldnt be too much of a problem because if you have a distractor and a brain then you shouldnt even be encountering twisteds too often, so when you do, you can escape perfectly fine with his ability, making the long cooldown not much of a problem. His skillcheck is what balances him considering hes already a survivalist and extractor at the same time, not every character is going to be perfect and that is his flaw. But it's not even that bad considering you could always use magnifying glass, and the skillchecks are not even too hard to hit. Lastly, his stealth is basically irrelevant due to his ability as it just ensures you can survive with the low stealth. He also has 3 speed and 3 stamina which is good considering the rest of his stats and sometimes you don't even need to rely on his teleport. I feel like he deserves high B tier at the very least, but A tier would make the most sense, at least in my opinion. this isnt meant to come off as aggresive btw just trying to make a point

FINALLY someone who hates boxten as well. I can't stand people saying "b-but he is a great extractor!" or "H-he is the best toon in the game!" like no?? He is just plain stats, and you have to play with a good server that won't die on floor 1 or your ability is completely useless. You can't even do solo runs.

He’s only actually good if you have a decent team, he’s useless if you don’t. I feel like because of it. Poppy is more useful and beginner friendly.
He's not the best Toon in the game; but he's a good Toon supported by the fact that he has well-rounded and fairly average stats which is comparatively a much better alternative to Rodger (when excluding his ability). Being plain stats isn't a bad thing, no? If you're playing Boxten with a server that dies on floor 1 that's sort of a you problem. Try to find a better team; remember, leaving is an option. Additionally, that or play with friends. Playing with randoms is a gamble; and I wouldn't recommend playing Boxten with a team made up of randoms.
Meanwhile Poppy has the most useless ability in the entire game. She's meant to be a survivalist, but as another commenter stated, "there is no point in "survivability" if you have to take a hit to be able to activate your speed boost." Plus, there's a handful of items out there that can be an alternative to Poppy's ability, and they're not even that rare to find in runs. Sure, you might have to take a gamble specifically with the Enigma Candy, but it's a better alternative to Poppy. If Poppy's ability can be replaced by something that's not even that rare to find in runs longer than 10 floors then what's the point of using her?
I argue that using Poppy's ability on one or two hearts is useless. I wouldn't recommend trying to use it on two, because it'll put you down to one heart, without any sort of healing item. Not to mention, if you use it on one heart you just die. Sacrificing one heart for 50% more speed for THREE SECONDS is a terrible exchange rate; at most you'll only be able to use Poppy's ability twice without heals. Which is subjective, as the spawn rates depend on luck. And if you're playing with randoms as Poppy in a public server, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE is going to give you heals that they found; instead they'll most likely give it to other Toons; simply because of how starters are frowned upon in the DW community due to their reputation of ruining runs.
Boxten is essentially 3 stars on everything and 5 extraction speed. And even without a full lobby, 4 star extraction speed is still pretty good with 4 players. Especially with no drawbacks.
I see a decent amount of Poppy defenders every now and then, and their primary argument is "you can't even do solo runs while playing Boxten". Literally just play another character; from how I see it Boxten is a team player and Poppy is a survivalist that can't do the surviving part.
You could easily run into a Twisted while trying to get away from another using Poppy's ability, which essentially puts you down by another heart, especially in certain maps where it's more open and it's easy to encounter Twisteds. Not to mention; on higher floors there's obviously more Twisteds, so it's easier to encounter more. If you get hit on lower floors while not having 1-2 star movement speed on the Toon you're playing then that's just a plain skill issue.

Why do so many people make a big deal out of Glisten's 2 star skill check? Because of his extraction speed, it almost doesn't even exist to me, even when I use the magnifying glass. IMO he's better than vee cuz he is a good survivalist alongside being an amazing extractor.

I would disagree. Vee adds more solo value and team value than glisten. She extracts faster and has a strong ability that can support the team. Glisten’s ability is useless in solos and its pretty mid in teams because you already have distractors.

Scraps - Her overall ability is only high on surviving, She is not so bad but with her stats...eh. Both her extraction speed and speed is poor.
Toodles - Good toon on stats but her passive is kinda bad, Overall, she's a mid character.
RazzleDazzle - Both of their stats are good but when it comes to soloing RazzleDazzle, Odd floors is your weakness.
Poppy - Her passive is mid. Decent extraction speed but her passive is bad when you are doing a "no hit" run.
C tier:
Rodger - Good for research, Not too bad. For me, his extraction speed can only be buffed with some extraction trinkets and items.
Finn - Not so bad for a skill check based character, Can outrun any twisted in panic mode.
Boxten - Decent stats, His extraction speed passive gets kinda useless if a few players die.
Cosmo - Sometimes trading hearts is a BIG risk, The team can sometimes give you meds or bandaids but the problem of that is the players who take it without consent. Mid character.
Teagan - Sometimes Teagans buy bandaids or get bandaids forgetting they can heal themselves. Decent movement speed and extraction.
B tier:
Glisten- Good extraction but a bit of bad movement speed, Overall good toon.
Flutter - Some flutters are toxic, but shes a good distractor and with an overall good ability.
Goob - Some goobs are toxic which makes it a downside of their popularity, They are good distractors and saviors.
Astro - Decent extraction speed and speed. Again, most of the popularity can cause dramas and arguements.
A tier:
Gigi - Great character, but her downfall is stamina; can be buffed using speed trinkets.
Tisha - Multiple roles; best character behind a few imo. Her speed boost is great for distractors, similar to Astro. Honestly, my 5th fav character because some of the Tisha popularity can be mean.
Vee - Best extractor, Her ability is not so bad and her passive is helpful in blackouts.
Shelly - Great support and extractor behind Vee! (her angsty makes her a tier bc its so juicy)
Sprout and Pebble - Best distractors imo!

S - vee (the best extractor in the game and has the support mechanics for distractors), Goob (in my opinion the perfect distractor because of low stealth and being a support), astro (the best source of stamina and the best support), pebble (only behind goob for having 3 stealth)
A - toodles (For me, she's better than Gigi because she has well-rounded stats, and you also know which buffs you'll receive in the ability), Shelly (the second worst main because she only works in games with many players) brightney (perfect for blackouts and a great example of support), sprout (the worst main because she is very dependent on ribbons and in matches with more than one person), cosmo (one of the best support choices and the best survival toon)
B - Rodger (gaining double stamina is very good, but low movement), Tisha (a great distractor for the beginning game and has balanced stats), Poppy (good choice for a beginner Toon and better than boxten to work in any type of run, solo or team), glisten (a vee 2.0 but has an ability that only works in a team), boxten (again, only works in a team run)
C - teagan (Perfect for dandy runs, but nothing more), flutter (a good Toon that you can do some insane plays with its active), scraps (honestly I would be more down if I didn't have the need for buy first than goob)

Good tier list! But, you know, I dont agree with some placements, and I going to talk about why.
- Finn in lower D? I mean, he's a Shelly, but he's actually very useful, or even more than Shelly, obviously he doesn't gives a Extraction boost like Shelly, but, he can be very useful with a team or in solo runs, he deserves upper B for me.
- Vee in S...I think it is a little overrated. To be honest I dont think she deserves S tier, her Extraction stats are very good, but, her survival Stats are just very trash, even worst than Brightney's, Vee can easily make twisteds that are distracted chase her, her ability can be useful...but not all the time, Brightney's atleast has a point about her ability, to be honest Vee is just a Brightney but "buffed", she deserves middle A for me.
And well, that's all, I dont disagree with the others placements, the others are very decent to be honest,good video.
Vee isn’t a problem for distractors if she’s able to wait for them to distract, plus if anything, vee supports them with her ability.
Vee has the ability that allows her to see twisteds which helps her to have better survivability,maybe even better than Brightney.
Two stealth and two movement speed isn't that bad.And she is like..a support toon?She is really good with a team and still op without a team,just weaker.
I wish the rnd ability was toogleable. As a former rnd main, I had to use vanity mirror and spool to get to elevator last second. But if you want to do a 8 people run, yeah go for it!
I kinda disagree with rnds plscement, due to the trinket combo of ribbon, speedy, and or dogplush you distract on odd floors and then you have enough run/walk speed, to just be rodger though this does rely heavily on trinkets.
Actually, R & D deserves A or High B at least. With ribbon spool & speedy shoes, they’re op!
R&D is one of the worst or arguably because of their inconsistency. They suck at solo runs and many of their notable traits get outclassed by other toons when playing with other teams. It’s like playing two separate toons without an ability.

A:Toodles, now before you judge.
Toddles is really good with stealth, so it makes it quite easy to keep twisted from seeing you, and the ability cooldown is 25 seconds for a 10 second boost so you have a 15 second down time, also because of the stealth you can get the first 12 floors done pretty easy and then if u get the 2 cooldown cards, you only have 5 second downside so pretty good if ya ask me

C: Rodger, just good for progress, and bloxston bc he’s decent
D:Razzle bc bad moment speed and just better toons

Ima be honest, I think Vee is one of the best solo toons because her active is so OP. Like as long as you have both Rehersal cards, skill and knowledge you’re gonna make it to floor 20 no matter what. I always use the active when I don’t know the twisted’s location especially highly dangerous ones like Pebble, craft siblings, etc.
Now, when on a Solo I ussually roll for Rodgee and Shelly trinket cuz Ichor. But if you want a further longevity then Pink Bow and Speedy Shoes would work well.

Glisten in solo with speed trinkets is surely an A tier
I would disagree with some of the placements, since even thought Rodger has bad mobility you can compensate for that with speed trinkets. I understand putting him in E tier because of his ability, but you go over other toons who also have abilities that don't affect the team a lot and are only for self-benefit like Gigi and she's still higher then Rodger. Overall, I just think that maybe you could give him a chance or consider the other toons who have self-benefitting abilities too.
Even so, there are better options than Rodger without having to use speed trinkets like Shelly. Gigi is placed higher because of the chance of heals from her ability, which is good for an extractor. Rodger on the other hand has no abilities to compensate for his role.

I massively disagree with the toon placements of C, D and E. Those toons being:
C-Finn - Ok this guy is atleast better than the 2 under him because he is very slightly better at extracting macs and escaping after, which lets him take priority over the last machines to best make use of his abilities. But he is not that much better at extracting anyways and you do not need the speed boost after extracting (just prime lol). 3/4 E tier toons >>>
D-Poppy, scraps - vro how the frick are these 2 above most of the E tier toons 😭 i don’t think i need to explain much here, just because you have the better tools to survive doesn’t mean you’re better, even without them other toons can do this thing called: being out of the line of sight using your eyes. 3/4 E tier toons >>>
E-Boxten, rodger, rnd - This is my main grudge with this tier list, you need a lot of convincing to convince me that these 3 are below POPPY, SCRAPS AND FINN just because they’re inconsistent/has mid survivability

Shelly deserve in S tier imo she make most floor faster by a ton fr (also she’s good at all her stats and her passive ability even boost up her only weakness which is speed)
Vee should still stay in S (very slightly baseline S) bc vee literally make blackout floors 10000x easier

Something about Astro though is that most of the run he’s kinda useless and if lets say Pebble need to distract twisted pebble then i can see him becoming handy but thats like one floor so Astro is A tier if not B tier bc most of the time peb don’t even cost stamina lol

14:32 i’d put tisha in S personally just because she could survive a pebble or any main floor solo.
To mention, tishas ability doesn’t work on herself, making her ability useless on solo runs. Skill check is a 4 which doesn’t make up from her two star extraction speed. And her stamina isn’t good. Shes supposed to be a support.

He is NOTHING like Tisha-
Especially now with his buffed ability, being able to see who is low on stamina, he is an absolute life saver. You can easily live without Shelly on a team and while Vee can be really helpful to distractors, there are times where she can be unhelpful as well due to her low stealth. Astro’s ability, on the other hand, is run-saving without having any downsides. He’s the best support toon in the game, and thanks to his high stealth and passive, he’s probably one of the best survivalists as well (even though that’s not his role)
