Really like her already, great musicality! I was quite surprised none of the judges mentioned her leg action, cos you could see her really trying to get that straight leg movement, I thought it was a really good effort.

Oh I LOVE her! She is definitely one of my favorites this year. Clara has an AMAZINGLY natural performance quality, and he leg action was actually quite adept! She needs to work on fully hitting her arm movements, but I REALLY thought this was underscored and deserved higher marks! I'm very excited for Aljaz! 7!
UNDERMARKED. UNDERMARKED. The sass the entertainment, just wonderful! It wasn’t the best but it was wonderful and I simply don’t agree with Craig. An 8!

Aljaz always choreographs, teachers and dances with such passion and you can tell that Clara really felt comfortable and happy dancing, she generally did so well and I do think they were undermarked.
Her lower half is great. I think she’ll do fantastic at the other latin dances. Aljaz was very clever working in disco moves (it was much better than what Luba tried unfortunately) I think she’s one to watch

Attitude with a capital “A”. She’s been the most watchable a long with Max George so far. She did sacrifice a lot technique to give impact but I appreciate the balance of disco and cha cha much more in this compared to Jamie and Karen’s routine. Another one to watch.

First off so glad they danced to this it's literally one of my favourite songs, second WAY Undermarked!! This was super technical and loved the disco element (like Jamie & Karen's routine!) Definitely a natural in dance and I have a feeling she'll be really good at Latin! And yeah maybe a little bouncy but loved it regardless hoping she goes far and fantastic energy throughout! An 8!

Let just say I like Clara, A LOT! This is by far better choreography from Alijaz than the last two series combined. If I was to critique it, I would only ask for more togetherness (it was a lot of side by side dancing) and a pinch more of recognizable cha-cha content but overall LOVED IT!!!!! *6.5*
There is 1000% a natural rhythm and musicality in Clara. She also most certainly has a whole lotta sass and character that she can bring to the dance. However, to me there was issues with fluidity between steps at the start (which could be down to nerves). I also wasn’t a big fan of the parts of the dance where she stood still whilst aljaz danced beside her (0:53 and 1:15), they felt awkward. Despite this she is incredibly likeable and watchable, can’t wait to see how she does next week. 5/10

@@anorbert38 When giving my scores, i look at the standards of the other dances comparatively. I don’t believe this dance was of the standard of Max’s, Ranvir’s or JJ’s to whom i all gave 6’s and so for that reason i had to give a 5. It gives her plenty of room for improvement next week
6 (Lots of energy and sass. I loved their chemistry aswell. Her legs were too flexed and she'll need to learn how to follow Aljaž's lead but other than that I see tons of potential)

Great first dance from Clara.
She most definitely has rhythm and flow as well as infectious personality.
Would have liked to have seen more movement across the floor, they really just stayed in the middle and didn't move around much tbh. Also Alijaz as lovely as he is seems to love posing in latin rather then actually dancing and moving. A bit stompy towards the end too.
She is with a great ballroom teacher so looking forward to her in that. Could be contenders

Great movement in her lower body though perhaps tighten up the dance moves a little bit. Well done. Though I would struggle to dance with a partner like Aljaz just because I couldn't take my eyes off his handsome face and gorgeous smile.

Well natural rhythm is to put it lightly. Her hips were going faster than the beat lol. I love Dua Lipa and some of Aljaz's choreography so I was to love this no matter what. Her Cuban breaks were fantastic and she isolates herself really well. Her hip action was great plus she kept her posture. She was a joy to watch! Her legs were so straight at the beginning especially in the new Yorker but she did lose the straightness very early on. She should also work on her sharpness to the steps but overall a fun disco dance just what we need on a Saturday night. *8/10* yes slightly overmarked but I really loved it

Outstanding music and vocals by the band and singers as per usual!
I can tell the nerves were there, cuz especially in her solo work her dancing seems very limited like she's dancing in a box. But once she's with Aljaz I can see her potential shine. If she can get more comfortable on the floor she could turn into a front runner. (6)

Im loving Clara she gives me an interesting combination vibe of Alexandra and Chizzy the technique is pretty decent to start but lots of personality and confidence when she dances as well

Clara was ooozing musicality and personality! She has created some great lines, especially with her arms, but her leg action was pretty weak. The didn't straight he legs most of the time and by this I mean the fact that she danced most of the dance with both of her knees bent. because of that the wasn't able to produce any hip action, which is so, so important in the Cha Cha Cha and she also wasn't able to accent the music with her movements. The only steps the did pretty well were the "Cuban Break" and the "New-York". She has tons of potential in my opinion, she has LOADS of attitude and charisma, her partnership with Aljaz is incredible, but all of this in not enough to go all the way - she has to work really hard on the technical fundamentals of the dance.
My score: a 5.

What a woman!
Well honestly that was a very sassy performance and I'm glad she showed lots of character. However as a consequence of character, her technique did lack and this does concern me as a Cha Cha (whilst still difficult to perform regarding technique) is an easier dance and I do not want to see too much character over content.
Overall though a good performance.
Once you get over the basics and start doing all the technique, cha cha is no longer “the easy dance”. While sass and energy are good - I feel that for a dance to be labelled the “cha cha cha” there needs to be a certain percentage of cha cha choreography and technique, which I feel was lacking. This is a comment that could be duplicated to other dancers tonight as well.
@@hannahkirby6051 i completely agree with you. However this has always seemed to be the case that in the first few weeks (normally a period when the Cha Cha is performed) the actual choreography content is lacking and sacrificed to bring out the personalities of the contestants.
That being said I totally agree with you and feel for some contestants tonight more content was needed.
For some reason she got the same score as Anne Heche (Dancing with the Stars (American series)) to this song on week 1 with this dance and both went fourth to dance. Based on that she might get eliminated week 4 of Strictly like Anne did on DWTS unless she does better than Anne. Edit- Well she obviously did better than Anne Heche I guess
Loved the song, got good rhythm, a couple of mistakes on the spins but overall good 4 week 1- CRAIG HARSH!!
Hate it when they have dark backgrounds, moody lighting and dancers in dark outfits; there were numerous times I could barely see Aljaz. And that is a crime.
her dancing is really good, she just needs to work on her expression bc she looks extremely nervous and uncomfortable. I'm sure she'll improve on that with time though, i think she'll go really far.
She has the LEGS yess if she gets more confident she WILL bring great dances

I came on here to say they were undermarked but all I have to say now is this song was massacred I think they underplayed how upbeat this song is and it rly undermines their dance
