You did indeed meet Samson in DA2, he hangs out in the docks I think iirc he initially helps you with finding Feynriell in Act 1 and later on pops up in Act 3 to give you information right before confronting the mages who kidnapped your sibling, you then get a dialogue choice to either ask Cullen to not be too hard on the mages or to recommend Samson back into the order, I think you chose the former
After replaying the game so many times it’s almost physically painful to see Mapo choose the ‘wrong’ options on the War Table 😂 RIP Sutherland’s questline

Cole is the best party member for banter that reveals the most about the other companions. His interactions with Solas and Sera, and then Vivianne are top top tier.
You may be misunderstanding the Sigil you just applied - Sigil Of The Bear gives you a BONUS to Maximum Mana/Stamina, and a PENALTY to Mana/Stamina Regen. All of the Sigils are like that - a plus and a minus. Sometimes you can deal with it depending on how you play your character, but most times I avoid them entirely. Also, you can create your own Runes at the 'Craft Weapons' station (all the way to the right), but you need to buy blank runestones first (hint, you already met someone who sells them right there in Skyhold) Also, also... there's still part of Skyhold you haven't seen yet (a couple parts, actually)
@@legionkahnI agree. The only sigils I ever considered using were those giving a bonus to a certain type of elemental damage, to the expense of every other type of damage. It works great if you specialise only in a single type of damage. Another one that is somewhat decent is bonus to frontal damage to the expense of flanking damage - that one is great for tank-specced warriors. Overall, however, not worth the trouble, which I find so underwhelming, considering how deep the rest of the crafting system is. On the other hand, weapon runes are always great, and worth the investment.
Welp. RIP Ser Sutherland and his "would've been" merry crew 😆 That was supposed to be one of the most rewarding War Table missions, especially since you can physically see the results by finding Sutherland in the tavern. You need to put a bit more faith in Cullen when it comes to outfitting and training people.
Cole definitely has the most interesting, funny, and revealing banter with all the companions. I hope you'll keep taking him along! Unfortunately he can be pretty squishy... same with Iron Bull which is probably why you were taking so much damage this time. If I can suggest maybe taking a trip back to Val Royeaux now that you've reached Skyhold, there will be some new shops etc. there to explore!
Personally my favourite back and forth is between Iron Bull and Solas but that is cause I am a chess nerd Cole can be "fixed" by making him Ranged - unfortunately Bull is in the same group as Varric and Vivienne, useless in combat due to AI incompetence
To make the two of them less squishy, give them some items that use mastercraft materials like obsidian and silverite that add Guard per hit. Almost invulnerable.
Yes raise Bull's guard, that should do the trick. My Bull used to die ALL the time, to the point o stopped bringing him along and then it occurred to me that maybe i just needed to raise his guard and sure enough my tank was back. I never really has a problem wirh Cole though.
@@NuVisionTarot82 I mean you can keep ton of guard via the Warmaster horn ability for the whole party even without the on hit thingy. man your party banter is bugged. In my game with the same mod it happens very very often, maybe other mods messing things up? Maybe you should try lowering the amout of time to test it if its working, or change up the load order?
It looks normal to me though in this video. He used the 3-7 minutes version and he got 3 banters with 10 minutes apart. Consider banter's timer pauses while he read codex/in menu this seems pretty reasonable to me.
If we ever had to sacrifice one companion in this game to complete a mission I get the feeling 95% of people would choose Vivienne. She is worse than even Sera
@@Sheechiibii At least he has an interesting story to him. She is just there to make snappy quips and act superior to all those lowly "field" mages who should know their place.
I find Vivienne's dialogue more engaging than Blackwall's, and I think she can be of more benefit to the Inquisition than Blackwall can. His story may have more interesting moments than Vivienne's, but that wouldn't save him in my case. Altogether, I get more from Viv's presence than I do Blackwall's.

Also..... dream team is actually......Sera, Vivienne, and Cole. For..... reasons.
So your boyfriend Solas has the best gear. Surprise Surprise. I never romanced the elves. I wonder what will happen.
man your party banter is bugged. In my game with the same mod it happens very very often, maybe other mods messing things up? Maybe you should try lowering the amout of time to test it if its working, or change up the load order?
Somebody theorized that because of the sprint mod, the game might consider you in combat and prevents banter
It looks normal to me though in this video. He used the 3-7 minutes version and he got 3 banters with 10 minutes apart. Consider banter's timer pauses while he read codex/in menu this seems pretty reasonable to me.
@@Lopasblin it's not because of that, that's an incorrect theory as it still triggers while sprinting
The guys on the battlements are agents - they're multi player characters.
He could still find out about Cole's nature in the game, that's a bit of a spoiler
@@Sheechiibii ok I'll delete that bit.
If we ever had to sacrifice one companion in this game to complete a mission I get the feeling 95% of people would choose Vivienne. She is worse than even Sera
Blackwall is pretty meh, I think I'd sacrifice him if I had to
I'd pick Solas tbh
@@Sheechiibii At least he has an interesting story to him. She is just there to make snappy quips and act superior to all those lowly "field" mages who should know their place.
@@Sheechiibiiblack wall can be boring at times, but he doesn’t piss me like Vivienne does. She is just insufferable
Lady Vivienne, is Queeeeeeen!
Why not craft Armour for Solas instead of hand me downs.
