Thanks for uploading these Taize prayers. It reminds me of my youthful life during 1989, i was brokenhearted those times when my friends invited me one night after Thursday evening mass to go with them to attend Taize prayer in a convent of nuns near our church. I find peace spiritually and emotionally singing these chants for an hour, and i attended this prayers weekly for almost 2 years until i graduated in college. While my ex-gf enters salesean convent, bur she left the convent after 2 years. And in the end, we were together again and got married with 2 daughters.
I was so blessed to see and witness the Beautiful place of Taize during my time in a Seminary in Belgium, but right now I got married... Still I was dreaming to be here and visit again Taize one day with my 2children and my wife .....soooo wonderful place and relaxing.... I'm Williard from Philippines ....
Taizé is a short walk up the hill from a little town in France called Cormatin, a beautiful name which means "morning heart". Both are about 10km from the larger town of Cluny, once a great centre of power in Christendom. All three are wonderful places to visit. We have friends who own a house in Cormatin which they rent to visitors, once a priest's house, called Maison du Curé. In the garden is a shrine, and the atmosphere of the whole place is peaceful and blessed.
