And 2 years of marriage and my husband and I are STILL learning about each other, finding out new things about each other, and working on our friendship and relationship. I can understand what you are saying but the things that are bothering you and the petty fights you want to be nonexistent is just not reality. It’s normal and part of a relationship/marriage to grow, argue, laugh, learn and love each other. In a relationship you’ll never be able to perfect it. But but the grace of God and the holy covenant of marriage you can bring glory and honor to him in that which is better than an unrealistic perfection that is just unattainable please let go of that if you can. ❤

I feel like you can never really know anyone completely, you learn more about each other everyday forever and the defining factor of making it is are you mature enough to handle finding out new things about them and yourself? Making it through that is soo much harder than it sounds and that’s why most marriages struggle or even fall apart in the first two years. As someone who’s been married for 12 years, God, love, friendship, loyalty, patience, respect, self awareness & forgiveness is what makes a marriage work. I’m crying!! When Kcup’s mouth turned down I lost it. Y’all are so cute! I’ve been with my husband for 32 years. Once you make the choice to be committed everything else works itself out. There will be arguments and disagreements and days you get on each other’s nerves but that’s YOUR person and without hesitation you work, sacrifice and be intentional in order to end every day on a good note. Here's the thing...u both just described a real relationship that works & last. My husband & I started as friends, then dated, took a break for a yr & now 30 yrs later, 6 kids & 2 grandkids BUT don't shoot for perfection cuz u will never find it. This is sad & good cuz what u both don't see is what u both are going through is called a relationship. You are going to have rough times, it's how u handle is what matters. You have the foundation & have had it. Now it's a matter of how u work on your troubles, how u get through them, but even when u find the one it's never perfection. U can go back to the basics but u don't have to stop loving ea other, holding hands, lil kisses cuz when u let those things go u are also letting go of that part of the relationship.
This is good but u 2 aren't done. When a couple is done u don't have that connection. You just have to figure out what works for u but don't work on perfection or u both will always be alone. What u found is rare...call it what u want but u 2 are meant to be, still in love, and all u are doing is working through what u want to do to make it work...props! I wish u both knew how rare your relationship is. If u had been through enough heartbreak, u both would know how much u 2 are meant to be ❤

A bit of friendly advice never ever let a problem no matter how small build up, talk about it calmly immediately and work through it immediately.
Opposites attract & there's a good reason ... it keeps the dynamic interesting and your relationship fresh. You will have to sometimes agree to disagree or compromise on things and sometimes pray for God to show you how to cope things. Keep praying together, religion 1st relationship close 2nd everything else comes afterwards. I loved seeing you two spend a happy special day together. I personally think it’s naive to try to form a relationship without having disagreements or arguments with your partner. All couples disagree and even fight, but that is normal and healthy. I just think that it’s a fantasy, and if those are your expectations, you’ll never be in a relationship that will last. Arguments may not be pleasant, but they are normal and expected.
