Great new additions man. Those ground boas are awesome and the colors on tri color hogs are wicked. Never seen those before. Congrats and good luck with them.
There all beautiful. I personally only have 4 pythons of my own. I'm looking to get some eyelash crested geckos. Do you know where I should buy them from.
Isabel Island Ground Boas are one of my favorite localities.Where did you get yours bro? They are indeed in the same family as the Viper Boa! All the Pickups are amazing. The Tri-Colored Hogs are something really special!!!
Thanks bro! I got the high white from DTS Herps Farm, I also have 5 more. I believe I took the rest of his high whites but he has another girl getting ready to drop and has some common color phases available. Yeah the tri colors are pretty hard to come by, I thought that's what he was doing so I rushed the vid. Little dude locked with the smaller female as soon as I stopped recording and had to separate quick.
juggernautreptiles Ok cool I'll have to look into that for sure!! I've seen my Male Snow Corn display that Same exact behavior. So I kind of knew what he was trying to do. Well at least you now know he will be a strong breeder for you!!
They can go months before defecting, some even 7 months to a year. Babies usually go more often then adults but there's no need to worry as it's perfectly natural for this species. You can soak him in warm water for 15 minutes a day and that will help him to shit or give him a larger meal.
juggernautreptiles Yeah I know but Australia is strict on laws. Especially guns which I don't care about but look at milk snakes corn snakes and I am not sure about ball pythons but I think all three I just listed are not legal in Australia or NSW
for the hogs, its a good thing you didn't get the deadly ones, i knew because... if theirs red on yellow he will kill a fellow! but if its red on black he is a friend of jack! :)
Actually, while there are certainly some aggressive snakes whose synonyms are feisty: *cough* blood Python *cough*. There are quite a lot of snakes who will rarely if ever bite. Ball pythons for instance, if you don't mishandle them, are probably less aggressive then the average family dog. And hognoses like the ones In the video will rarely if ever bite. What they may do is strike with their mouthed closed (essentially headbut you) and if that doesn't work they play dead. Most snakes bite only as a lay line of defense. And the majority of snake bites you see online are either do to a. Mistreatment. Or b. Improper feeding.
Kenneth Reyes Every snake has the potential to bite. Even the most tame of animals might get nippy. However, two of the least likely to bite are the ball python and hognose snake. (the hognose might headbutt you, not joking look it up xD) both are usually calmly tempered and not likely to bite *if handled correctly*. But like I said before there is always the possibility. Another animal to consider is the cornsnake a little more active snake, however a bite from a corn will be pretty near to painless especially from juveniles who are the most likely to bite (this applies to the majority of snakes). I hope I helped :)

When you buy snakes for breeding, do you have their genetics tested?
No.
+Callie Haynes That's impossible in a lot of cases. Best (only) way to prove genetics is to breed the animals in question.
Where do you get your snakes from

Snakes look cool but I don't like how agressive they are and that snakes bite a lot.

+Dex Dradose So what snakes do you recommend. Snakes that don't bite and for beginners?
+Kenneth Reyes corn snakes
+Kenneth Reyes California King, that was my first, never bit anything but thawed mice
