You guys are right the 1 million% isn’t actually that high. It’s like almight using 120% in season 1. It was showing that deku was using beyond his max power
That's right, I remember that the author had to clarify it on Twitter because of all the nitpickers, obviously he was referring to something subjective
i had a friend (who was very weird about very dumb stuff) who could not understand this and just stopped watching the show cause of the 1,000,000% smash and it "ruined the power scaling" for him, completely mental. a wacky reason to stop watching, considering there are many other more valid ones.
i think people love this episode so much because its a fight that just comes out of no where. fights without build up have to carry a lot of weight on their back and they tend to deliver
I think Carlie and Ange are the first people to not go ‘OMG ITS BAKUGOS DAD’ as soon as seeing the muscle guy. Btw he is not his dad and that statement is never brought up again
Thank God you guys understood the 1 million percent comment. It created alot of confusion in the fandom and the author even went on record saying he regretted it.
15:32 Idk if u guys meant it's weaker.. but he's actually much stronger. Thats the way one for all works. The quirk gets way more powerful with each new user... And because all might was by far the strongest user and cultivated the quirk for decades.. it's ridiculously strong now. The big difference is all might can withstand 100% of the power and deku can't at this moment. So if deku throws 1 punch at 100% his arm gets completely destroyed, while all might can throw multiple 100% punches.
SPOILERS: Is it even ''real 100%'' ? Cause even by the end of the series, Deku was only capable of consistently using like... what, was it 45% or so? Then he ''cheated'' with Fa Jin and Gearshift to bring it up to Faux 120%. I feel like if a weak Deku used maximum 100% in a punch, his entire arm would genuinely just blow up or fragment into millions of shards, instead of MERELY breaking. I guess I'm still just kinda confused on how OFA percentages work, since end of series Deku using 45% fine when he's a million times stronger than in season 3, but a 100% punch doesn't kill him instantly while he's weaker, which would imply that 100% isn't even that strong.
@@kikaGama98 Tl;dr I feel that 100% used by Deku whenever he panics is way too weak to genuinely be the maximum 100% of OFA, since I feel like logically and mathematically speaking his arm would just blow up into a bloody mist rather than just ''breaking'' cleanly enough to be healed by recovery girl boosted regeneration.
@@anusaukko6792spoilers: If deku got to keep OFA for more years I’m definitely sure he would’ve been able to use 100%. The reason he cant use 100% is because he didn’t get enough time to fully master it, and he was never strong enough to use it. 45% is almost halfway through the process. And he only had it for about a year. I believe if he just got about 3 more years he’d be able to master it
@anusaukko6792 100% is the maximum output that Deku can use. If he hadn't trained back in s1, then yes his arms would have been blown off. The thing is that his 100% would theoretically be stronger than All Might because it got stronger when All Might passed it down. Tldr one for all 100% power output depends on how far its been passed down.
The lizard looking villain did say big sis! The villain with the sunglasses and the giant pillar thing is canonically a trans woman! Most the league calls her "big sis"
think of it this way, The guy Midoriya was fighting was super muscular and powerful, and someone out there is able to take quirks and mix them, hence the Nomu that All Might fought. The muscles weren't bursting but theres a creature out there that had the strength for trade punches with All Might, and now this Guy that could take Midoriya's punches the same way.
Deku literally fighting for his and Kota's life with no backup. The first couple seasons started off as wholesome and it's gradually progressing towards more and more serious and it doesn't let up.
It's ok to read the title screen when it appears in the episode, they usually put it at the right moment, it's just that it might spoil what the episode is about to read it before watching the episode
I think Patreon members just meant to try and avoid the titles in the video names, etc. Whenever it contains spoilers, they're pretty good at placing the actual title card after what it spoils (like in this episode), so no need to go out of your way to avoid it within the episode.
One thing I have to comment: Remember guys that One For All also keeps increasing in strength. So Deku's 100% at the beginning isn't going to be his 100% now, or in the future. As his body gets stronger, his threshold also keeps increasing and his quirk too.
Episodes like this I call a "Super Hero" episode. Episodes where they save people like when Deku and Todoroki fight and Deku telling Todoroki it's your power too (fire). Every time they save someone important character it's always ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
The whole % thing is more of a mindset on Deku's power. He's not accurately controlling his quirk down to the % he's just thinking 5%, 20% 100% in his mind and that allows him to hold back or let loose. So the 1 million % was basically plus ultra at that moment, he thought of the highest number he could and basically let loose completely. It's funny because that was technically his 100% at the moment compared to all the other times he's used 100% thinking that was his cap.
This episode is my favorite out of the series (reminder I’ve only gone up to season 5’s beginning) and the last scene with Kota understanding why heroes do what they do gets me emotional every time. It’s SECOND. my hero sense to get me to tear up. Next season there’s a sense that has my crying full blown but will get there. But yah Deku vs muscular is my favorite. I love and it’s that’s to mr. Angelo who points this out that makes appreciate this episode even more, that this is Deku’s first tutus save, and that’s it’s a 5 year old kid makes me love this episode more. Kota is one of my top 5 characters in this series ranking #3, even though as far as I got he’s just a minor character. But I have a track re he’d for like minor characters so it checks for me. I the huge goten fan here. Also, I’m not a scientist, but even though it wasn’t much I think the Water from Kota softened muscular muscles a tiny bit, and that helped taking him down. Again, not a scientist. Lastly (annoying, Word vomit almost over promise) I don’t think back could come even if there was reception witch there since Deku thought he could of call for help if his phone was intact, but I’m pretty sure that Eraserhead and King Vlad are the only who know were the students are at and villains are taking advantage of that.
I know this is late but Deku's hand was stuck in Muscular's muscles when he was pushing him back up at the end. The Delaware was him flicking all his fingers to free his hand then he switches to Detroit Smash which is just the punch.

Yes we do, Horikoshi already confirmed it was just Midoriya hyping himself up. It was basically a 100% punch but he went beyond even that. Like All Might vs Nomu in season 1

Think about how strong a 1,000,000% OFA strike would be and decide whether it was or wasn't legit.
