Miyeon is such a powerful vocalist. she is currently my number one, not only can you tell how passionate she is about music, she is literally the funniest goofiest girl in the world. miyeon is the sweetest, has a talent to immediately raise your spirits, and genuinely is such a kind hearted individual. i absolutely fell in love with her after watching hyemileechapa. she’s so much more hyper than you’d expect i was so surprised😭😭 her winter medley is super good, she sings a bunch of Christmas inspired songs.
Miyeon is like a kpop idol that was grown in a laboratory. Beautiful voice, face, body, and soul. Always emits joy, kindness, love, and good humor. Destiny can sometimes be a little cruel, but somehow it brought the girls of (G)I-dle together and they are wonderful for each other and wonderful together. I hope (as do they) that they stay together forever... and somehow are able to bring their missing sister back into the family. I believe that destiny will make it happen.

Miyeon has sooo many OST's at this point, Minnie as well. The one she sang here on Lee Mujin briefly is of course the most known as it was part of a pretty successful K-drama. But my personal favourite is her song "Dreaming about you" for her first web drama Replay. Oh and Minnie's OST song for "Lovely Runner" charted up to Top 50 on Melon in June. Absolutely lovely song. In other words, check out their OST's. :)
Wow, you did both. You really have reaction stamina, haha. And yes, she has gotten better. In fact, one of the best things about gidle over the years is how each member has gotten better continuously. I mean that's what you expect for a kpop group but it doesn't always happen.
Hann(Alone in Winter) is such a powerful song. They both killed it. Honestly I’d love to have IDLE produce another winter album like I BURN. So poetic, super artistic. And “the painted on the moonlight”, it has an original mv. The whole song is just purely beautiful.
Totally agree that Miyeons talent can slip by relatively unnoticed in a first run through of idle content. Interestingly my favourites were teenage fantasy and to.x. teenage fantasy gives me goose bumps big time. Ahh man an rnb album from miyeon would be so good!
It's like, I knew she was good, and her vocals are impressive as heck even in the first run through, but I didn't know she was THIS good lol I can see that, To .X is definitely up there for me as well! and for sure I need an R&B album like I neeeeed it lol
Miyeon's "bad" performance of Painted On The Moonlight was at 2023 MBC Drama Awards, 100% live and she was very nervous. People said some real mean things about it and her, making her apologize for it. They made you think it was some horrible show, and that she can't sing at all. Watch the stage and see what you think. It was not bad, people just don't know real live singing any more.
With performances like this is that you can get full appreciation to miyeon's capabilities. It's hard for me to decide between minnie and her, while loving them both, there are times where Miyeon shines more, and viceverse. I always pick the main vocal line as bias, but only in I-DLE i'm not doing this, being my bias Soyeon, but it isn't for the main vocal line being weak. Both Miyeon and Minnie are great, they have different musical tastes and contribute something that the other doesn't, complementing each other. Thx for the reaction
It really is just a matter of preference I think, I don't think any of the members is lesser in talent than the others, each of them continue to surprise me in new ways every time we listen to them!
Personally, i hated the version of Hann (Alone in Winter) lol. I normally love Lee Mujin and his arrangements but i think that was way out of his (considerable) range.

She's a lot of fun and her R&B vocals are for sure amazing! I'll have to check out the Christmas songs (maybe for this year's holidays?)
