I have never been to Florida, but the legends appear to be true. The bass down there have really handsome color patterns. I really needed this, considering that there is six inches of snow and near single digits right now. Thanks for helping me beat the cabin fever...but now I have to get down there some time.
A great day of shiner fishing for bass in anyone's book. Way to go CC !!! Beautiful video & scenery. First time I ever witnessed an owl grab a bait. But I'm not surprised either, after all, they are in the birds of prey family. A couple years ago, an osprey swooped on my hard jerk bait & got hooked. I thought that bird was gonna try to tear me up, but to my surprise, that osprey just laid back very calm, and kept looking me in the eyes & also watching me remove the treble hooks from its feet, like some kind of "patient"....lol. It flew away just fine. Beat all I ever seen, because I didn't use a towel, shirt or anything to protect myself. I believe that darned bird knew I was helping it.......LOL.
Thanks Steve! Yeah that owl grabbing my bait was kind of unusual! That's why I put it in there! As for ospreys I can't tell you how many I've had to unhook in my day! Lol! Again thanks for watching my friend and continued fishing success!
I guess im asking randomly but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot the account password. I love any help you can offer me.
@Antonio Dominik thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thanks I needed that after being unable to travel to fish. When this virus goes away would love to book a trip for my husband and son. Thanks from Kentucky
Thanks Michelle and thanks for watching! Yeah it looks like the rest of this season is a wash due to Corona! But maybe next year! If everything is some what back to normal will start taking reservations for 2021 this fall!
Another great Bass for that ass fishing session Captain! Can’t wait for our next adventure! Congrats on 1 million views on your 47 pounds 5 fish limit video bro! Shoot yeah!
I can be reached at (386)325-3743 for info! But now is not a good time! Waiting to see what happens with this Corona Virus thing before I start doing any more charters! Thanks for watching and hopefully one day I can take you fishing!
No doubt my brother ! Your videos have been a good diversion while all this pandemic is going on. Been harassing Bass in my area. But I'm looking for that Trophy Lunker like you catch. Be safe and will defiantly be in touch ! God bless !
Love the vids Cap. Hope to get up your way in the near future. If you don't mind me asking, how far down below the bobber do you set-up the shiner? Amazing how much darker those river Bass are. Thanks. 🌴🍀😎👍🇱🇷
Beautiful bass. I want to try shiner fishing where I live. I am hoping you can recommend the proper hooks and floats to use. Are you using circle hooks? And what size? Type of float? I live in the Philadelphia area. Thanks!
Experience and trial and error. Also knowing when to fish an area and when not to. Weather conditions. Time of year. Moon phase. How high is the water. Has it rained a lot! How much pressure has an area received lately. All these factors have to be weighed to consistently catch trophy class bass!
I get my bait at Howards in Orange Springs. But sometimes I have to catch them myself. Advantage Sports in Salt Springs and Hawthorn bait and Tackle in Hawthorn has them too. Wild shiners are in very high demand this time of year and can be very hard to get sometimes!
I look for deep brush filled outer bends! Also points and creek mouths! I also use my sidefinder to locate schools of nice bass! Also you can use your eyes to spot fish in some places of the Ocklawaha where it's real clear like above Rodman Dam! However good old trial and error will probably be your best strategy! Thanks for watching dbrau and good fishing to ya!
@@TheNorthFloridaAngler thanks CC! do you usually fish in the mornings? we tried the river 2 afternoons earlier this month and didnt catch one bass. :(
@@TheNorthFloridaAngler well sum'bitch! i mustve been fishing in the wrong places then.. :/ the water i fished looked murkier then the ones in your videos, maybe that was the issue??
Absolutely horrible way you held some of those fish, especially for the size. Holding a larger bass just by the jaw, at an angle, and not supporting their belly can and does cause injury to their jaw. They may swim off fine, but their jaw is injured or even broken, impairing their ability to eat. I'm not knocking you or bashing you, a lot of people just aren't aware. Definitely google "how to hold a bass", you'll see what I'm talking about. Specifically referring to the fish at the 19:14 mark in this video. Tight lines!

I can’t believe the quality of the fish that you are catching! Good job!
Thanks Milo Miller and thanks for watching!

I recognized this area by the ramps. Surprised you put in on the spillway side.
Yep! I put in all over the place! Thanks for the view!
Your video stimulated me!! It is a fishing channel in Korea. I will visit you often! Let's be friends!🐟🐳🐠❤️❤️🐳🐠❤️❤️

Toad Slayer" Wow! The power of bait!

150.00 worth of shiners and a supurb day holy crap what a day
Bassin around..
What spillway is that in the background? Nice bunch of big bass Good job
Thanks man! That's Rodman Dam in the background.
Damm I’m a New Yorker and seeing the guy not getting excited for a 6 lber tells me a lot about bass fishing in the douth

Thanks!
Based on the way he is setting the hook I think he is using a khale hook.
@@robgover8341 thanks!!
how far south did you go from the ramp. I am new to the area and been wanting to fish the river.
I’d like more info on going fishing with you if possible
I hope you don’t mind I asked Jimmy Houston to check your videos out Hopefully he comes and fishes with you or vice versa talking about epic😎🚀💪🤛
Thanks Michael! Yeah you never know!
AMAZING OM, LANJUTKAN
Thanks!
Have you ever fished in that cross Florida barge canal thing up around Palatka ?
Yes! Your probably talking about Rodman! Very good trophy bass fishing in there! I have videos fishing in there also!
I’ve been here three times now fishing shiners. Caught some 4’s & 5’s but nothing huge! How do you find such good spots here ?
Experience and trial and error. Also knowing when to fish an area and when not to. Weather conditions. Time of year. Moon phase. How high is the water. Has it rained a lot! How much pressure has an area received lately. All these factors have to be weighed to consistently catch trophy class bass!
Live bait bringing out the big girls, I'd love to flip that bank though.
What brand of fish scale are you using?
I don't live all that far from there (Orange Park) Curious how artificial bait would work..if they would hit something like a Senko.
Yeah they will, but usually not as good as a wild shiner!
CC, where do you get your shiners? Local bait store? Cast net?
I get my bait at Howards in Orange Springs. But sometimes I have to catch them myself. Advantage Sports in Salt Springs and Hawthorn bait and Tackle in Hawthorn has them too. Wild shiners are in very high demand this time of year and can be very hard to get sometimes!
Great fishing! would you mind sharing what brand scale you are using. I would like to have one. Thanks.
Thanks Terry! The scale is made by a company called Pisifun. Not sure if I'm spelling it right. But it's the best digital scale I've ever owned!
The North Florida Angler Thank you. I just placed an order for the scale. Continue to enjoy your videos.
what type of cover or how do you decide where to fish on the river CC? it all looks the same to me and everywhere looks good!

Excuse me sir would u mind sharing the make and model of what boat your fishing please
It's a 22 foot Nautic Star Sport bay boat.
big game rods and 6500 or 5500 reels ?
I use both of those reels!
CC, You don’t need the filler music Man,,, Would much rather listen to The Wildlife & Reel’s Screamin’💦
I didn't think I had any music in this video! Maybe at the beginning! I don't think I played any during the catches!
how do we book a charter?
Where did you launch from?
Rodman dam
I missed hearing shoootyeaaah
Where did u put in?
Do u ever talk about ur setups? And what u look for?
do you have any good spots in St. Aug?
Yep! A bunch! Thanks for watching Andrew and good fishing to ya!
Does he ever catch fish under 4lbs.
Yes I do! Check out Quest For An 18 lb. Bass! I catch some real small ones in that video!

I still don’t understand bass fishing with live bait it’s way to easy.
Yep! I do make it look easy don't I! Lol!
