Needed this for a crash course in surveying to refresh my memory for a potential new job. Very informative and it's very easy to understand (just need to pretend it's metric and I'm set)
you need to replace my professor!!! I've been struggling to learn this for weeks, and you managed to clear the question mark with a 14 minute video! Thank you!
Funny, my summation of the BS = 25.24 and the summation of FS = 25.25 Thank you for posting, I didn't understand survey math until watching this video.
During fieldwork, does it matter if we maintain a pattern for reading our points, for example, going clockwise or anticlockwise and book in the points? Or does it also work if I setup at random spots, get readings, but manage so start and end at the same point (BM) and close out the survey?
Why the convention of putting the elevation as the right column, I'll never understand who thought that up and seems more prone to error due to adding and subtracting from rows above/skipping. Intuitively, it should have been put between station and BS and everything be on the same row ideally with two columns of elevation- the el of the bs and the el of the fs. Oh well. I still get confused.
i am struggling with extra readings that were given to me ( BS: mid,up and low & FS: mid,up and low). can you please explain what they are and how do i use them to get the rise and fall and so on. Please I would greatly appreciate it.
But sir I have only 4m hight staff on my site.... And please tell how to increase the level of 86.29 to 100.300 It's 14 m difference in hight.please help
I understand how it works. So far, I understand you walk the perimeter to read elevation but what about INSIDE the perimeter. I mean...say there's a mountain 1000 feet inside your perimeter but around the whole thing it's all 0's... Someone help me please...this is my very first video about this stuff...very interesting stuff...
Your 15 min video helped me more than my professors 50 min class every week.... THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for this video!! I'm studying for the FE after having graduated a few years ago, and this video has helped me out tremendously!!
Thank you for this video. Your explanation was 10x easier to understand than my professor's.
I did this at college ... It takes me back to that drainage ditch . Thanks
I watched this video and I found it very helpful (currently doing Differential Leveling in my survey class). Thanks for posting this.

Thank you it helps me a lot.God Bless you and more power.
Thank you very much for uploading this video! I was almost at wit's end with my professor's messy way of teaching. You saved me. :)
YESTERDAY I AM GOING TO START MY WORK IN NEW COMPANY, AND THIS IS VERY HELPFUL TO ME . THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR.
Thank you for sharing this kind of video, it helps me a lot on my surveying subject ☺️
Godbless
thanks soooooooooooooooooo much to every person who works inthis video it is so useful for all student who arestudying survey
Thank you so much. Such a wonderfully simple and effective video.
Thanks ! Great explanation and examples. Easy to learn.
Hope that my prof. is like you in terms of explanation.

Amazing Video!! Greatly appreciated and easy to understand.. cheers
Love Love! just found your vids, liked watching you. We have similar planner interests. Please keep 'em coming! :)
this helped a lot. Thank you
This helps me so much for my assignment ~ thank youu
Intresting Video Sir,
I feel the Engineering.
Thank you
Thank you for making this video. Very helpful
Wow! This is so helpful Sir and as for two and three digits, I guess it depends on what you have been taught but its more or less the same thing.
Joyce Itumeleng Selitse are you a female surveyor?
Best teacher
Very easy. Love surveying!
love it. Very clear and simple :)
thank you very much sir, i learn something from you
Thank you Stephen!!
Excellent video.
great tutorial 👏
hi
Digital levels change everything.
Great review!
Show how to read and install cut stakes. I enjoyed your video. Thank you.
was such a great help to me.thnks
thank you sir GREAT video... may i ask what book is that you show on your video?
thanks so much! great tutorial
it helped a lot , thank u so much for that.

Thank you a million time for the video
Hello, I have a question Sir, why did you treat BM2 as Turning Point?
Why the convention of putting the elevation as the right column, I'll never understand who thought that up and seems more prone to error due to adding and subtracting from rows above/skipping. Intuitively, it should have been put between station and BS and everything be on the same row ideally with two columns of elevation- the el of the bs and the el of the fs. Oh well. I still get confused.
This was so helpful! Thank you! could you possibly also do one on calculating latitude and departure?
wonderful tutorial , thank you so much Sir ,there is a mistake in BS and FS , Total BS Sum is 25.24 and FS 25.25
How do u determine levels if Benchmark is not given?
Thank you very much!!!
i am struggling with extra readings that were given to me ( BS: mid,up and low & FS: mid,up and low). can you please explain what they are and how do i use them to get the rise and fall and so on. Please I would greatly appreciate it.
That would be 3-wire leveling. Search that term and you should find a useful explanation.
Thanks for this video.. Really helps me!! (Y)
thanks I already understand the theory
can you make field notes close and open traverses stations for coordinates like this .thanks
I'm trying to measure in the woods with no known elevation, how do I detain a bench mark?
very helpful. I have a level run test tomorrow.Thank you so much
thank u it was awesome.
How do I get the distance per reading to reading
How to do calculation for side shot
thanx alot .. great job
Thank you
But how can I get this book by PDF ??
thanks sir this very beautiful persentation
very very good
What is the name of the book please?
But sir I have only 4m hight staff on my site.... And please tell how to increase the level of 86.29 to 100.300
It's 14 m difference in hight.please help
thank you so much
What text book are you using
it was greattt!!!
Thank you !!!!!!!!
.Thank you so much
good Essie to understand
Good.Thanks.
what if you do not move the machine?
you don't have to close on your benchmark
once you get the pattern, it's so easy
I understand how it works. So far, I understand you walk the perimeter to read elevation but what about INSIDE the perimeter. I mean...say there's a mountain 1000 feet inside your perimeter but around the whole thing it's all 0's...
Someone help me please...this is my very first video about this stuff...very interesting stuff...
It is from Engineering Applications in Agriculture by Bowers, Jones and Olver - This one is by Stipes Publishing ISBN 0-87563-281-5
very interesting
thanks
Thank you, this was handfull
Digital levels change everything
thx alot my surveying lecturer knows his stuff but he just can't teach it
sir. your calculation on the BS is wrong and also the FS just let you know.
Nice
GOOD
Interesting
First of all the figures are small enough to be invisible...
great video but the calculations are wrong. also, you are using 2 decimals in all the results which is wrong, you should use 3 decimals.
Thanks I didn't understand this in class
Hi
simpul
thanks
