      @@send_it_subie If you want it bad enough you'll buy parts over time and do the build anyway. I have had to struggle to build 2 carbon fiber bikes in my life. I'm getting older now and don't have to struggle anymore. Just save money and buy what you need. If you buy parts as you have a few bucks it will motivate you to make more money to get the bike built. If you want it bad enough you can do anything. Everyone wants to just order everything at the same time and just do it. That's not always possible. I found saving money doesn't work as well as slowly buying parts a couple at a time. If you have kids it's really hard because you think of them first, but get some overtime, if that's not possible find a second job long enough to get everything bought. You can do it if you set your mind to it. It sucks looking at parts that you can't use until you can get more parts. Take some time to find deals on parts which takes time hunting the parts down. Anytime you build a good bike you have to sacrifice, because we aren't all rich. You can do it, I promise you can. It took me two weeks of hunting to find some rockshocks at a price I could afford. You can do this I promise. It's frustrating I know.

      BroToPro No ut cant get an agility, it can make you better at a few things, but only because you cant do the other things that you love anymore. Try finding a disabled that will tell you that he prefers being disabled over being "normal".

    • @todoxe

      They are not people with disabilities, they are people with special abilities. They develop other skills that we "normal" or "complete" we can not develop.

It keeps me going to be able to get radical in a chair, sit ski or whatever is fast and freaks people out. lol

    The saddest part of this video is the man has to chain his wheelchair to his van. With all the people around in those places it is upsetting to me to realize that someone stole his wheel chair before and no one saw or said anything in such a busy place.

    • @Novur
      @Novur 4 роки тому +9

      Yeah some people are scumbags. My mum has a Quickie 7 (very similar to Stacy's) and someone broke our car window trying to steal it. Obviously they never had one of those wooden block toys as a baby, because it very clearly wouldn't fit, but it's the terrible thought that counts 😒

    Stacy is a badass who doesn't let a disability limit his ability to do what he loves. These kids nowadays could learn a lot from him. It's the struggles in life that build character or break you, but you get to choose with of those happen to you. The only limits you will face are the ones you put on yourself. Don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself, get up and kick life in the ass!

    I always find it ironical how we as abled bodied individuals never actually listen to what people with disabilities actually say. Like this guy is like he rips it so no one treats him differently or babysites him or gives him pitty and just treats him like a equal.
    Whole comment section: bless his soul, what a inspiration, a disability can become a ability.

    Once you’ve been “in the air”, nothing quite compares. Add the excitement by 10 if there’s spectators. Sometimes I dream of old BMX memories where I’m in the air in every one. Definition of Freedom: Great gate snap, hole-shot towards the uphill table-top, “Timmy Judge” style down in to turn one, (it’s the ‘80’s and I can’t hear anyone pressing;-).
    Trust me, if you’ve experienced it, you’re with Stacy all the way. 🤙🏻

    I've been in a wheelchair now for almost 16 1/2 years now and I've been trying to find a way to get myself a rig like that!! I know they're out there, just don't know where to start to look. I'm sure that's a custom job for Stacy. I have wanted to have something like this for so long. Just don't have the means to make or hire someone to build, so just haven't been able to make this happen. I've always been and continue to be super independent and work for everything I have. So I don't look for or ask for handouts. But it would be so nice to be able to find one of these for myself so I can get back out on the mountains. Love this video and to see this stuff out there for the general public to see. I feel like many people don't realize jusy how capable so many of us in wheelchairs still are. I know this is an older video at this point, but it's still so cool to see stuff like this. I really wanna find a way to get something like this.
