  • The Craft Fair Booth Review Series continues with Episode 26, featuring Greetings From Nai, based in New York. Nai has a 6' table that consists of greeting cards, as well as new stationary items that are being introduced into the setup.
In this episode, I discuss the balance of showcasing as much product as possible while still maintaining a clean, breathable setup that must be achieved at a 6' booth.

This was very helpful! I’m doing my very 1st craft fair this Saturday and using a 6ft table. 😊

I had my first craft show this weekend in 25 years. Only learned two weeks ahead of time that I had been accepted when they contacted me about not paying! I think they used the wrong email but I don’t know. They said I signed a “contract” on the application plus it was to benefit Project Graduation for high school kids so I paid up.
Both was 6x 9’ and I had 3 grid racks for the 14 wreaths I had quickly made. Only sold one! So we had to load everything in our mini-van (had driven part Fri for set up them wreaths on Sat) so our car was jammed! My husband couldn’t get the car to start and he thought he had caught the plastic wreath bags in the trunk. Turns out it was corroded battery connection. It was a very long weekend but I learned not to insert the square upside down (from a customer no less). So many lessons learned. So far just made enough to cover booth fee and display rack costs. But met a lot of extremely nice ppl. Wealthy area but vendors made far less than last year I heard.

It’s tough when you get into an event kinda last minute. Not a lot of time to mentally gameplan for the show. Sounds like you handled it as well as you could! Exciting to know you got back out there after so many years away from doing shows!

@@howtocraftfair thank you! It was sort of a rough shakedown cruise but I learned a lot! It will be much easier next Saturday!

I have a review of my stuff from Wyoming! Going to get on the Map! Will send as soon as possible! It’s not the greatest set up, but, I am so proud of what I did, and know that, you will be honest, which is what I need! Will send it as soon as I can!

Absolutely! I’m so sorry about the week delay on this one! I really wanted to get it out on the 26th but I just had too much last minute stuff happening on my end.
Keep in touch and keep doing your thing! Your setup is great! 😃

What do you think if using those dorm room bed risers for your table for an inside craft table? Is that stable enough? It does get your items closer to the shoppers but seems like the table could tip over.

It’s actually fairly common at craft fairs. You can get a full set of table risers for a pretty reasonable cost and yes - it helps to set your apart from the rest of the vendors. They’re pretty stable as long as it’s very solid ground/floor.
Something to keep in mind with them - since it makes the table higher, just be sure to bring a tablecloth that will still extend down close to the floor to keep that appearance looking good.

@@howtocraftfair thanks so much. You are right about the tablecloth. I could do this with mine-I used two rectangular tablecloths across a 6’ table that were plenty long and then clipped the sides with Beach towel holder clips. Another idea I liked was using a 2 x 5’ table at a lower height in front of a regular height table.
