My page features my rides all over the United States and Canada.
I'll also be doing many "how to's" on various maintenance items, as well as, adding farkels!
I'll be exploring small towns and talking about the town's history along the way.
When I can I'll be adding Google Map links to the comments or descriptions of my videos so you can take the same adventure I did if you feel like it.

Living in Portsmouth and hearing a lot of bad things about it can really get me down, so I'm happy to see a video shedding some positive light on my hometown for once.
Thanks!
That's bc it's a toilet bleach can't get clean
@@playauthentic1082 What's a toilet bleach?
My moms from there. Portsmouth has had its share of issues over the years, glad to see someone portraying it in a positive light.
Every bigger town has issues. Since I don't live there I don't see it. I have always enjoyed my time there.
I am from Portsmouth but left at 18. I haven’t been back in about 10 years, so this was nice to see. Especially since most videos are about the drugs and decay of the area now. I loved when you pointed out the “arch.” That was the old Columbia theater. My Papaw was the janitor there for years. When I was little, he would give me a dollar or two to help him clean up between the movies. That was in the 70s and 80s, and I think I was underpaid. Lol.
Cool! Glad it brought back good memories!!
Hi from Portsmouth Hampshire UK.
Hello to the UK!
I went to College in Portsmouth and we did a walkthrough of that church in my art class because of the stained glass. (@ 9:20)
Oh cool. Was it as beautiful on the inside?
Portsmouth is a great area. The Murals are certainly a high point. If you find yourself down there again at meal time check out the Scioto Ribber. Wood fired grill steaks. Easly one of the top five I have ever had. Excellent video Pat.
Oooooo.... sounds good. Never heard of it. Thanks for the info!
Yes! The Ribber is the best restaurant in town!
I used to go there years ago when I was in Portsmouth doing some work. Yes, it is a great place for BBQ.
Thanks for the video, I grew up in the area. Lots of celebrities and singers from near there. Tim McGraw's "Something like that " was written by a local (Rick Ferrell) and is about the Scioto county fair. Safe travels
Oh wow that's cool!! Thanks for the information!
I really liked running around in the Sears store that is long gone. I would play the Atari 2600 (Rebranded as Sears Tele-Games) demos and browse all the other stuff. I also shoved a lot of quarters in the video games just inside Harts Department store that was next to Big Bear that was located in the area towards the end of the video. I would also get all my accessories for my 10-speed bike from there. I plan on going back to the area soon to eat at The Scioto Ribber and enjoy a giant steak!
I have heard a lot about the Ribber. Didn't even know it existed until I made this video and I was told about it in the comments! For sure a bike trip this spring to try it!!
Very cool👍That flood wall is amazing! Great video!
Thanks!!
I know this is 3 months old but I have been there for 3 year almost 4 and it is a amazing town. You can do some cool stuff and there is a cool place call the riber they the best steaks and you should one next time you come through it. Thanks for the video man
I have heard about the Ribber now from a few locals and I am going to have to try it! thanks!!
That's where I'm from.
I know he's a bit old fashioned by today's young people but you drove by the Roy Rogers Esplanade. Roy was only born in Cincinnati, he grew up just outside of town on Duck Run. Branch Rickey is a native. Portsmouth Spartans, now the Detroit Lions were a founding member of what became the NFL. There are so many famous people within 30 miles of Portsmouth. The Judds are from Ashland, just up the river. I better shut up :)
Oh cool! Thanks for that!!
Thanks for your great video 📹 👍!!! It brought back some great memories!!!!!! I live around Circleville Ohio for the past few years and before that multiple places throughout the year's!!! And I grew up in Scioto County " But moved away once again around 18 years old!!!!!? And I'm 50 years old now " I'd moved back to Scioto County for about a year 20 years ago because of my older family members were getting up in the years!!!? So I wanted to spend some time around them!!!!" But after a year of just surviving!!? I moved away again!!! I love my hometown!!!!!!!! But there's nothing down there for me anymore!!!!!!!? I still have several great friends and family members who live around Portsmouth!!? But most have passed away and I pray that Portsmouth continues to grow in the future 🙏!!!!!!!? God bless you my friend " And God bless you all today 🙏 Shalom
Thanks for the wonderful comments!!
Next time stop by Port City Pub, drove past it on your video. 424 Chillicothe Street. Great food, staff, and it's beautiful inside.
Cool thanks!
pat thanks for the ride great video
Thank you!
Surprised you didn't tour Shawnee State Univ. or eat at the Ribber.
Honestly don't know anything about either place.
@@PatsAdventuresTravels If you travel to the east of the bridge away from the murals you run into Shawnee State University Just east of downtown right on the river. About 1 block north of the University is the Ribber a steakhouse/BBQ place listed as one of the top 10 food joints in the state of Ohio.
@@thomasroy6554 cool! thanks!!
@@PatsAdventuresTravels Thats the same place I mentioned to you as well. Never had the BarBQ as I can not go there and not get a steak. Simply awesome.
You all are forcing me to go ya know lol
The Famous Roy Rogers' home town
No kidding? Didn't know that.
you should check out North Adams. Mass.
Thanks! I'll add it to the list
That motorcycle club isn't the oldest in the country ,and I live here in portsmouth
Ok. Which one is? That was the answer I came up with. I'm far from perfect.
@@PatsAdventuresTravels yet to be answered. Couldn't tel you how many times I ate lunch around there.
Portsmouth's back in the day was a large city in comparison. A port city full. Though, times shift with the ages and technology. Population dropped.
That's where I am from. It's so bad. Drugs have overtaken so bad.
Yeah it is a shame when that happens!!
For a city it looks dead and dreary..
@@RayRay002 yeahs it’s not a bustling city but you need to head east to get to the shopping areas
Is the Royal still open?
Do not know. Been a few years now since I have been to Portsmouth.
Sorry Robert the Royal Lounge shut down some years back✌
