I enjoyed this video! It had a lot of good points that I agree with. I have brought soft/quiet luxury to work and no one noticed. That could be a way to still bring it to work without calling attention to ur bag. TFS ❤😊
I totally get the logic and I agree with you, but that's just sad, I mean we deserve these things because we work hard for them. On that note It's not out fault our colleagues can't afford it. 😅 Here in the Philippine, Mk and Coach is considered designer and true enough I used them around my professors. 😂
I think handbags like coach are totally fine to wear to work. It’s very sad that we can’t enjoy our higher end luxury items. Imli, it’s a personal choice, and we each have to do what works best for us. Thank you so much for watching & commenting! 🥰🥳
All great points. I use handbags that are free of blatant logos at work. Mulberry Bayswater, Henley, shoulder bag, etc. with only the tiny tree symbol, Proenza Schouler PS1, even Celine micro luggage in black is probably a bag the majority of my coworkers wouldn’t know. It looks very understated. Celine belt bag in navy is probably another one. As long as it isn’t Chanel, LV logos, Gucci logos, etc., most people wouldn’t pay attention.
I wear them. I feel the need to rotate my bags, or I'll feel sad not being able to use them. My everyday bags range from Louis Vuitton, MCM, and Coach. I use Longchamp when it rains hard. Small designer handbags- I do reserve for the weekends because they're not just functional in a work setting. I'm a lawyer in my country.
I commend your bravery! You go girl!! But I also think there’s more leeway in certain industries. Thank you so much for watching! Glad you enjoyed my video 😍🥰
@@GirlGoneLux thank you for making such enjoyable content. I love your video. I think the key is to find what bag/s are functional enough for your workdays and stick with them regardless of the brand. Definitely to stay out of small designer bags that can only carry the bare minimum especially so if you need a lot of things with you during the day.
@@monkeyhunter88 i’m so glad you enjoyed my video! Thank you so much for watching. And I couldn’t agree more. The latest item I purchased from Chanel should solve this problem. Once I get to 1K subscribers, I’ll be unboxing 🥳✨
Ugh I hate that people judge like that! I agree with your reasons! There are lots of places I don’t wear my handbags to so I get it!! This was a great video! TFS 💕💕💕💕
I have worn my LV Pochette Accessoires to work but will stick it in my Senreve black tote bag. I don’t think a lot of people where I work know about Senreve. It’s not a Neverfull or a Chanel, but it isn’t cheap. For the most part, I wear Coach bags to work. In my town , many, many people wear Coach, Michael Kors and Kate Spade. So Coach is perfectly acceptable. I use my higher end bags on weekends or when I go out somewhere special. One thing, I do use my LV, Chanel and Gucci slgs regularly in my contemporary bags. People don’t seem to mind those. Maybe it’s because they are small.
Smart! Senreve is a great work bag too. I think slg’s are more accepted bc of their lower price range compared to a bag Tysm for commenting & watching🤎
Yeah, people inevitably talk or judge. I agree not to carry too expensive bags. Especially true if there are lots of women colleagues or stingy bosses. I think a bag costing less than 1/3 of your monthly paycheck would do no harm. I carry to work YSL, Loewe or LV which are generally around 3k. Chanel, Hermes, Dior are a bit too flashy. In addition to bosses or supervisors, I don’t want my subordinates to expect me to treat them more than I should just because I am financially well. 😝
I could not have said this better myself, and agree with everything here! It’s so sad that this still happens today, but it’s the truth. When you’re doing well sometimes you have to remain humble and cautious about showing it.
I absolutely understand where you are coming from, so I'm torn regarding work. Corporate offices should be treating ppl fairly, not to mention ALL companies should be regarding raises and bonuses. We all know playing fair isn't happening tho.
100%!! There are a lot of things that should be happening, but aren’t. Sad but true. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Glad you enjoyed the video. 🩷
Totally agree with you, my thoughts as well. I feel that I couldnt asked for A raise if I had carried around my expensive designer brand hand bags at work😅
This goes for jewelry as well. Leave your Tiffany and Cartier bracelets at home. People in the workplace will be resentful. My original engagement ring was substantial and I would get the “oh your husband must make a lot of money to give you a ring like that” comment. 😮
So rude that people would say that. How about, “what a gorgeous ring, congratulations” and leave it at that. I never thought about the jewelry thing but you’re right.
In my current job, my colleagues really don't care about luxury items, I work in the public sector, therefore we don't have a lot of raises or bonuses (it only depends on seniority in the office) and where I'm from, people think it's a waste of money to buy luxury bags (cars are a different story). My contract will end soon and I will need to look for a job in the Us's private sector so I won't use my "in your face" bags, I'll use my Senrev which has no logos and my DeMiller bag that is clean and classic. Right now I rotate my bags but I rarely take my Chanel bags to the office, I use them more on date nights
I work in politics, in today’s socioeconomic climate at least for me personally i tend to use understated leather bags or more “mainstream” affordable bags preferably mk bags. Mainly due to the growing people resentment on rich politician. Why mk bags? Thats the type of demographic i want to be perceived as part of. Also i am a maximalist i do love “busy” mk bags 😂.
My male Boss denied me a raise for 6 years after seeing i drive a luxury car. Since then I hide my branded stuff
How awful, I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you’ve moved on to better. Thanks so much for watching & commenting 🩷

I love this! Soft luxury. Yes!! 🙌🏼 items like the row, loewe & even Celine are perfect for this. Thank you for sharing & for commenting 😘🩷

Senrev & demellier are perfect options for the workplace! Great points, tfs. Best of luck with your job search. I hope you land something amazing!! 🥳🤍
@GirlGoneLux thank you, I was wondering if you use any luxury slg's and if you do, do you take it to work in your bag?
@@reutgadmish1835 I do actually. Since they’re more discreet I don’t worry about SLGs as much.
I hide my designer items from my bosses and co-workers. They can have those items, but for some reason I can’t. It’s sad, and it’s my reality.
So sad it’s sickening. One of the many things that cause distaste in the corporate world
Good points, but people need to mind their business
Haha 💯
Even tho I am working in fashion. I starting to realize probably wear a designer bag to work is not a good idea. Girls are like cats.
