I remember the 60s....I was in grade school....but I had older brothers and sisters your age and older...listen to the music on WHLO AM radio I think it broadcast out of Cleveland....I always wondered how they got the weird effect on this song...finally found out.....they ran the guitar track backwards....called it "Back masking".
Back when the only electronic effects available were reverb and tremolo. My old Sears Silvertone amp had both plus I got me a Maestro Fuzz Tone as soon as they appeared. Once I heard the Stones' "Satisfaction" I had to have one. I'm sure I over-used all of that stuff as a young teen guitarist. I even deliberately bashed my amp head for that horrible reverb crash you could get with a spring reverb. Yikes!
Memories, Dreams, Reflections...Carl Gustav Jung...
Born in 54, this was my music growing up on am radio. I love it !

I too am 1954 born. Great song. Good old AM radio. It will live on in our minds.
Same here and still loving it.
Born in 53 this rocked and still does 👍
@@georgej.7469 Born in 58 but wishing it was 88 instead... lmao.
Like, wow, man! ;-)
Loved this group.
May the heavens have mercy on us all
Psychedelic music I wish I can listen to this song smoking marijuana, but I'm 65 years old now, don't smoke marijuana nor snort coke, great memories.
A complimentary song came out around the time this was big: Hot Smoke and Sassafras, buy the Bubble Puppies. Similar, and just as good.
I can't believe I have never heard this before given I really liked "You got to get me to the world on time".
"Too Much To Dream", was released before "Get Me to the World on Time". But both are on the same album.
@@beatleographer_10-51 I do not think Too much to dream was released in UK but I will stand corrected as I just do not know. Thanks for the info.

There actually were synthesizers as early as 1961 they were used on the number one hit "Telestar" by the Tornados.
The “sound” is done by playing the track backwards! Clever.
0:01 0:11 se me puso la piel de gallina por como se escuchan las guitarras
0:11 como le asen para que se escuché así se ecucha genial como tocan
I think the bass player must have forgotten his guitar strap for the filming that day.
Purple before purple was cool.
Where'd that autoharp go?
He put it on the floor behind and to the right of him.
No guitar cords, no amps means this was lip-synched. Searching for actual performance of this.
this is the result of smoking the marijuana
дайте оригинальное видео, а не этот шлак с эффектами!!!
