I finished ghostwire today and I cried when Mari died. I cried a couple times during the final ending of the game because it was so emotional and really hits close to home. This game really made me rethink my relationships with the people I care most about, it also made me rethink my existence. I’ve lived life so carelessly and selfishly and I’ve done so little in the 26 years I’ve been alive and I want that to change now. If this games taught me anything it’s that you should always be honest with who you really are and be better than who you were in the past because you can either live in the past or learn from it. Time is short, people die, memories last forever, family is essential and friends are necessary to living. Be better with each passing day and live… live to the fullest as if it were your last.
Because these days devs are so spineless to make emotional stories where characters die and sad endings where you don't "win" It's all either everyone lives power of friendship, character dies but haha just kidding they come back to life at the end :) or multiverse bs where oh they died but in another world they are back alive so don't worry. It is very rare you get a story where the main good characters die and that's it so it is very impactful when it actually does happen. It also lends a lot to this story. The entire point from the first scene was about characters dying if they tried to go down a path of oh everyone lives happy ever after it would of ruined everything so props to these devs for having a spine to give us the sad but better ending.
Not gonna lie I never cried off a game till now. it was amazing to be able to play, the graphics were crazy, the boss designs were insane, and the storyline was great plus the side missions a lot of them hit a soft spot very sad game but overall recommend this to any gamer out there
You know, while the non-stop bombardment of visual effects and color flashes is genuinely giving me a headache, I can't deny that the boss designs and the main character's design are really quite good.
All that pomp and circumstance, and he devolves into a shadowy meat wad. It’s a mercy killing at this point, and further proof that you don’t screw with the natural order. Well, that and he ritually sacrificed Tokyo to get that far.
Just finished it, great game! My favorite part about the boss fight is the voice, I like how it overlaps and he sounds distorted showing he's totally lost it and isn't just Hannya anymore
Just finished this game found it randomly going through game pass. Honestly surprised this game got slept on so hard I don't remember anyone at all ever talking about this but it's one of the better games I played in the past 2 years. Story was good emotional could of maybe had a bit more to it but still solid over all. Map was great the size was impressive the graphics were really nice if i had to give the game one fault I guess it would be it felt too empty. That made this beautiful large map but then have very little to do in it apart from some side quests which the school one was the only one that felt like a proper side quest and not just a fetch quest type one. If they filled out the map with more meaningful content and maybe had some characters that are actually there with you throughout the story so it's not just you and ghosts the entire time it really would of been a very great game. Still worth a play for sure though. Especially for a game pass game. Normally on game pass I expect very mediocre games so this was a nice surprise after finishing it.
Genuinely one of my favorite games, the ending was one of 3 games to make me get emotional Also why does everyone play with english audio, japanese audio (with english subs) makes it way more immersive
they drifted apart after their parents died and he started to become more cold and uncaring as a self defense mechanism to the grief he was feeling that he was more toren up over it than he let on.
Basically Akitto loat the will to care but didnt want to be reminded that the parents are gone Therefore that pushed Mira further away since she had no one other than Akitto to find some solace or comfort with to cope with the parents being gone
Thanks for uploading the ending. I always buy games, movies anime, after watching the ending, middle and the beginning. I also read the entire plot multiple times.
I honestly think this would have been a bit better if KK laid more into Akito for his fear of opening up, I got maybe half-way and didn't really see any character development between the two, which sucked ass. Gameplay is pretty legit though.
@@theant4184 I got to around the part where they take on the daughter turned dog kaiju, and their "friendship" didn't really feel like it was there. It's been a while since I played it now, but in terms of the story, I think what was missing was more witty banter and a reoccurring separation between the two, that gradually changes with each trial they both face, so it reaches a point you expect a antagonising response from one to the other, but instead they show sympathy instead.
As someone who finished the whole game with the default Japanese sound set...The Voice acting for English audio track sounds horrible, it shatters the beauty of this game.
So basically hannya is this man who was obsessed with bringing people back and as KK said, "he thinks bodies are wrappers of the soul" I'm pretty sure. And the 2 blue people on his back were his daughter and wife. So basically he's just this insane person obsessed with bringing people back but as souls I'm pretty sure

Ghostwire truly is unique underrated gem 😥

One of the most emotional scenes in recent gaming scene.

This is my second time crying ever about a video game. (RDR2 was the first).
Good god this story is amazing!!!!!
Yakuza but it's Cyberpunk
So damn true lmao
Not true..
The cooler cyberpunk
Story is bleak and typical
How?
wouldn't have been a japenese game if the final boss isn't a grotesque monster
Ending made me feel sad lol
wonder when they gonna make a film adaptation of this?
Got choked up pretty hard at this ending. As someone who recently lost my mother and brother. It was a great game right down to the end.

Probably Ghostwire : *input a different capital or place here*, that’d be cool, but yeah i doubt it
Could even make the enemies be spirits based on folklore of the location
@@chora9805 Ghostwire: Beijing
Considering the game hasn’t had the best reception and average reviews, it’s pretty unlikely
Sooo... what happened to ed? Whats he like? Is he dead from the start? Am i missing something here?
Ed is just a weirdo off on his own researching stuff, hes pretty much the only character other than akito actually alive
You see every character (except Dale) in the free prequel visual novel. Dale and Ed escaped Shibuya before the mist came, so they survived.
those ghost wear fancy clothes than me
In Yakuza Kiwami, Majima wears the Hannya Mask
So what exactly did Akito do to mari, in that they fell out. Seems like things weren't great between them before the game. Is that explained anywhere?
After their parents died it’s pretty much alluded that cause a rift in their relationship and they just drifted apart
