@@cbcmusic I could easily pick one of three as my favourites. Love and War makes me weep almost every time. When Neil sings "the saddest thing in the whole wide world is to break the heart of your lover" despite war being a theme of the song, I start to tear up. That song really hits home. Angry World I love for its passion, and it's possibly my favourite, musically. Peaceful Valley Boulevard is one of the great Neil saga songs, and probably my favourite, lyrically. Really, I could go on about every song on that masterpiece of an album. I saw Neil perform solo in Detroit a couple of years ago. I was in the front row. Returning to Canada, I was asked by the Customs officer why I went to the US, I told her, and then she asked me how the concert was. "It was only the best two hours of my life," I said. She smiled and motioned to me that I was free to go. Neil is a Canadian treasure. Pass it on.
i've loved this series of short films with danny. just great. i'm little sad there was no 'Wrecking Ball' (another New Orleans record, but my favourite album he has worked on), or even 'Here Is What Is'. even still.. thanks.
.Daniel Lanois, did great with Neil Young .Very few producers of Neil Young got this much great stuff out of the best singer songwriter and melody songsmith so far in rock music..David Briggs according to Neil Young and most of the media critics over the years was the the producer that was involved in Neil Youngs best [so called] albums .In my mind Daniel Lanois did a great job on this Le Noise album by Neil Young ..I think they could do something else real interesting at some point .
Ha ha he says to him “I remember after the crash that you went right back to work real quickly didn’t you” and he’s like 3 WEEKS!! Lol that’s nearly a WHOLE month! Jesus what other job can you just take 3 wks off for getting hurt in a self inflicted way? 3 weeks is a long time to be doing nothing man.
Loved this series. And hearing mr. Lanois speak always gets me into the Zen-zone.
My favourite Neil album. Every song is a gem.
Do you have a favourite cut in particular off the record?

A Canadian hero talking about a Canadian hero. Nice.
There's a good interview about Wrecking Ball somewhere, I remember seeing it. Just don't know where, so not very helpful... sorry!
If I ever get a guitar, I hope Neil Young steals it

The interviewer is socially awkward
And he did a great interview.
