Welcome to The Warning.. I think The Warning Army (TWA) might pay you a visit now. This Trio is absolutely brilliant.. All 3 are Classically Trained on Piano before they ever touched the instruments they now play. All 3 sing, write, compose. The drummer was FAN VOTED BEST ROCK DRUMMER OF THE YEAR AT THE 2023 DRUMEO AWARDS, she's a wonder.. They are all very special. 19,22,24yrs old. Playing live is their superpower. Enjoy the journey if you choose to follow The Warning.."You have been warned" 🌎✌️

As a 73 year old who has followed them right from the start I can honestly say that I have never been so excited about a band!
Their rise to what they are now has been achieved through sheer hard work and single, mindedness! It’s been an absolute joy to watch them go from kids starting a band, having a cover of Enter Sandman going viral and being noticed by Metallica to what they are now, International rock stars. I saw them last year for the first time on their European tour with Muse and three times this year on their World headlining tour, I shall continue going to see them live until I drop!

@@DarrellW_UK I have followed them since mid 2015 and have also enjoyed their well deserved journey into international rock stars. I honestly believe that because they have such a solid work ethic, and an expressed goal of doing so, the will one day be universally recognized as the greatest power trio of all time.
      LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!

@@glenallencox966 I saw them in the very ealiest stages when I saw Pau (aged 6) hidden almost behind her kit hammering seven bells out of it 🤯, I was always on the lookout for what was happening with her, so caught their Piano sessions and more or less everything else. I never had any doubts about where they would go to with time and practice, and boy oh boy they didn’t let me down! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Dany the eldest sister, tells their fans with each new song, “learn the song, so you can sing with us.” Ale, the bassist and youngest sister rarely sings solo, so when she does, the crowd stops singing so they can just listen to her velvety voice which sends shivers through the crowd.

Yep, sisters, The Villarreal Velez sisters from Monterrey. Daniela (Dany) guitar/most lead vocals. Paulina (Pau, pronounced Pow) drums/ some lead vocals, and Alejandra(Ale) bass/backing vocals. Their straight cover of Enter Sandman from 10 years ago, at ages 14 12 and 9, went viral. A couple EP's and their 4th album, Keep Me Fed, just came out in June. They've opened for Foo Fighters, Def Leppard, Muse, Halestorm, G'N'R , 3 Days Grace. Headlined shows recently too.
Lead single from the 3rd album Error. You got a unicorn here, the couple lead lines from bassist Ale, she rarely sings lead, no designated songs, preferring backing vocals. She has sung full songs, when Dany is sick or needs a break, but only fan cams of that so far.
This Pepsi Center CDMX (CDMX = Mexico City), was fall 2023 and was their 10th anniversary concert. The entire concert has recently been posted, song by song.
If interested in more from these ladies, try "Evolve' live at 2023 mtv video music awards and "Hell You Call A Dream' from this Pepsi Center show. Pau sings lead too, try "Dust to Dust/Dull Knives" (2 songs played together) also at Pepsi Center.

As a note, the viral 2014 “Enter Sandman” video is explicitly referred to as a “straight cover” because in 2021, The Warning and Canadian singer Alessia Cara collaborated on a version of “Enter Sandman” for Metallica’s Blacklist album that was a complete reworking. Metallica had given them full permission to turn it upside down and backwards, as long as they didn’t change the lyrics. DPA and Alessia read the assignment and turned out what even some Metallica fans will admit is a superior product. You can find the OMV on their channel, as well as live versions from their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert and this concert. Both live versions include a track with some backing vocals from Alessia Cara, and the Pepsi Center version also includes a string section.
Next to that viral “Enter Sandman” cover from 2014 (25 million) the OMV for this song is the most-viewed video on their channel (8.4 million).

In case you were wondering, this song is about feeling so overwhelmed by your emotions that they suffocate you, making it hard to escape. It captures the sense of hopelessness and the desire to let go, to sink deeper into the pain rather than fight it. There's a feeling of wanting to be consumed by the intensity of it all, even if it means drowning in those emotions.
I suggest checking out more songs from this concert at the Pepsi Center. There's one video that is has two songs in it called Dust to Dust and Dull Knives that is a standout performance.

    YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!
The Future Of ROCK from Monterrey Mexico, The Villarreal Vélez sisters:
Daniela "Dany" (guitar, lead and backing vocals, piano) The Lightning riff maker.
Paulina "Pau" (drums, lead and backing vocals, piano, and also songwriter for the band) Drum Bombardment from the heavens (Huge Pau Fan here). Pau won the Drumeo 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year award. The hosts said that she "dominated" the voting of "a hard category to win". AND, she was nominated in this year to.
Alejandra "Ale" (bass guitar, piano, backing vocals) Thunder Goddess. She plays a signature Spector 5 string that she helped design, it's called Ale's Inferno. She also has a blue signature Spector 5-string (as you can see here)...fire and ice. Ale's been playing Spector since age 13, and signed with Spector at 15.
The Villarreal Vélez sisters were raised in Monterrey, and all received training on various instruments at an early age. At some point in their childhood, Daniela and Paulina had selected guitar and drums as their primary instruments, respectively. When the youngest of the three, Alejandra, selected bass guitar as her primary instrument at about age 7, the sisters decided to form a rock power trio in 2013. They learned to play rock songs, often via the Rock Band video game series, and posted videos of their performances to UA-cam. In 2014, 12-year-old Paulina was profiled in the women's drumming publication Tom Tom Magazine. The band first gained widespread notice later in 2014 when, at ages 9 through 14, their UA-cam video in which they performed Metallica's "Enter Sandman" went viral among rock music fans, eventually earning more than 20 million views. The video received attention from Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, who offered particular praise for Paulina, saying, "The drummer kicks maximum ass!"
PS: This Band is exceptional in Live setting, The Energy is through the roof !!!!

The Warning and especially Pau (the drummer) have a song called Breath that is about this subject ( I believe a friend committed suicide or attempted). Both songs are captured beautifully at this same concert performance.

    @williamburkholder769 День тому +2

Yes, HEART vibes come to mind. So do many other genres and artists from the 1960s forward. The Warning are SERIOUS students of music. They have an amazing background. If you were to go watch some of their very early videos when they were just starting out, you would know that these Mexican sisters were not yet little bilingual Catholic school girls when they first got into music at summer camps. Mom's a dentist. Dad's an engineer. He used to run a recording studio. The girls grew up listening to their parents' rock favorites and watching concerts on TV.
The kids all learned classical piano first, then discovered Rock Band, the video game. Suddenly, they were choosing instruments. Dany started guitar lessons at eight. Pau started drum lessons at six. Ale started bass at seven, a few years later, as she's the youngest. They were a great cover band as LITTLE KIDS. But they rarely do covers anymore. They are as good as, or better than the bands they covered! And in most cases, they are more fun to watch.
Their first two albums were crowd-funded and independently produced! Before watching any more of their music, I'd suggest you watch their two TEDx Talks on the University of Nevada channel, from way back in 2016 and 2017. Perhaps also watch The Warning: The Mexican Rock Stars Who Happen To Be Sisters [TIDAL Rising Documentary] on the TIDAL channel. Maybe watch Mayday in the Making, parts 1-6. As much as you like it now, if you know who they are, and where they come from, their music will make a lot more sense.
These ladies are now 19, 22, and 24. They sold out their Spring tour, 19 dates in Europe and the UK. They're also back from Japan and a stint in L.A. for the launch of their new album, on to Europe for festivals, and headed on to Canada, the USA, and other places this year. They already sold out a 10,000 seat arena in Mexico City for two dates next February.
Their fourth album, *Keep Me Fed,* arrived June 28, and they performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live the night before. They were on MTV Push during July. They played Pol'and'Rock and Wacken Open Air festivals in Europe before many tens of thousands of fans.Their superpowers are LIVE performance, music COMPOSITIONAL skills, LYRICAL depth, STAGE presence and charisma, and personal integrity. Welcome to a deep, deep, 11-year-old rabbit hole.

you need to delve into his musical and life story. (10 years).

Thanks for all your comments. I went back and rewatched my video to see how I used "personal political propaganda." Frankly, I have no idea what you take as being political propaganda. I'm using MY forum to experience new music, share classic music and give my opinions. If you are referring to the combo US/Israeli flag in my thumbnails, that is my way of showing support for a country attacked by terrorists. One thing you have never heard me do and will never hear me do is claim the artists share my opinion. That is strictly my opinion, which I have the right to share. It is completely separate from the artists that I react to. And I do not receive monetization from 98% of the videos I've posted. My goal is to put out The Warning's music and the music of other artists to allow more people to experience them. And how am I taking your tax dollars? "Free America from IPAC zios?" Again, I appreciate your honest comments. It just sounds to me that my channel is not for you. I wish you well.

Not as ashamed of using such cheap trick in an attempt to make pennies. Through taking advantage of a popular rock band. @@DarrellW_UK

@@k17reactions I see your point, and no, I Do Not challenge or oppose in any way your political views which you are fully entitled to, I respect everyone's beliefs. I only object to the use of the thumbnail as a subliminal suggestion of The Warning's support and alignment with yours or any other political view, were there a different flag, I would object also. It seems unfortunate and unfair if anyone conflated The Warning's name with any partisan world-view, as The Warning steer clear of controversial content, therefore no political stance, or statement has ever been made. societal issues, yes as expressed in their song “XXI Century Blood”. Politics rarely are beneficial for business because it's polarizing, and the interest is in growing the numbers in support not in forking that support by dividing. Thank you for responding.
