Very nice collection Rob- SnapOn made some fantastic tools for years and although expensive they were affordable. Today they are out of reach for the average person and even some professionals. 😃👍
eBay is how I developed my tool collection and there’s a few specialty used tool stores online too. I have probably at least 10k in my setup including a master series klr 722. Never once stepped foot on the truck. I guess that’s the nice thing about being just a DIYer and not a professional you have many years to find the best deals and buy at anytime when you can afford it.
Good video. I have the first spring loaded ratcheting adaptor that was put on a breaker bar 1920 to 1924.Also a few that were military issued during WW2,these have a letter V in the part number with no warranty on them. Story was it was put in the contract that there was no warranty on them. There were even Snap On tools that were Canadian made, they had a tool plant in Canada until the late 1980s
That star date code is old, 1931...nice. I have a drawer full of mostly wrenches and sockets, not many of the specialty tools other than a couple torque wrenches and such.
Nice collection, my tools are mingled together by type. Socket drawer has a bit of everything no doubles just upgrade as I aquire more... Maybe 30 different companies .. but I often find at least 1 Snap-on or Mac in a lot... My best snap in is a train brake service wrench.
Thanks for the shout out. You have a good collection, I'll check out the last few I got this weekend to see what's there, soon as I clean them up. The year mark is cool, Good video Rob.
Nice collection😎 how hard is it to find one those snap on vacuum grip pliers that where made in Newport PA. I live about 10 minutes away from the plant they used to make them in and would absolutely love to add one to my collection.
