- ---- While debating post-Civil War history, Don Lemon from CNN preposterously claimed that “black people still aren’t allowed to enjoy their freedoms.” That’s an insult to the progress we’ve made over the last 160 years. His comments embody what’s wrong with the dialogue about race in America. I told him so without apology. Adding insult to injury, he added “When you have black skin and you live in this country, then you can disagree with me.” We should be able to have open debate no matter our skin color. It’s time to start talking openly again. All of us.

Most importantly, what type of tax plan does he support for the middle class. Lincoln even went so far to try to send Black Americans to Haiti and other black countries but those countries wouldn't accept Lincoln's proposal. Abraham Lincoln knew that keeping the Union together meant either allowing slavery to spread to all the other states, which he believed was an unacceptable and immoral solution, or completely destroying it all together. It will become all one thing or the other.” Lincoln believed slavery was absolutely immoral and repugnant and that it need to be stamped out.
