This is the best video on this topic on youtube! Thank you for comparing it with Hofstede's cultural dimensions, it truly tied everything together and made it easier to keep the key points in mind especially for an exam which aims to test both models. This approach has higher impact and prevents confusion. Thank you!

This is really good to know for all students in business and the social sciences. Going over it again for my master's thesis. Thank you for uploading such a well structured explanation.

Hi I'm sure you are too busy for this but I thought I should take my chances anyways I'm doing a Master in International Business in Ireland now and I have to do what you just did in this amazing video: Critically evaluate the similarities and differences of 2 of the major dimensional approaches to societal culture as described by Kluckhohn & Strodtbeck and Hofstede, assignment is due in 10 days from now but I'm sure you could at least provide me with excellent sources to do it myself so any suggestions are more than welcome, thanks!!!

I think this video interprets uncertainty avoidance incorrectly. Cultures that are high on uncertainty avoidance have a low tolerance for ambiguity. Watchers should note that the cultures identified here as being tolerant of ambiguity are not (Sweden, Singapore, Denmark, Germany), and those identified as being intolerant of ambiguity are (Russia, Hungary, Guatemala, Bolivia). The confusion might be because Hofstede classified the USSR as having high uncertainty avoidance, while Project GLOBE found Russians to be low in uncertainty avoidance.

Diversity is a weakness. Homogeneity is a strength.
