For people that don't get it this song was supposed to be the chosen one from shadow the hedgehog but for troubles with the band instead they made this song they made "the chosen one" that is the reason because both songs are similar according to the ending
I think this song was meant to be the main game theme, but it was replaced with "I Am... All Of Me" by Crush 40 Due to issues with Magna-Fi in terms of copyright.

This was originally going to be the credits song for the Pure Hero ending, but Magna Fi thought it was too good of a song to give up, so they made All Hail Shadow, which was later made Shadow’s overall theme for the franchise to this day.
I cannot stop replaying this... It fits so well with the interpretation of Shadow that I came up with; Chaotic Good in terms of Moral Alignment, and pretty much a compassionate and kind dark hero. He's not without his edginess in my Personal Interpretation though; he gets very angry and violent, even to the point where he actively seeks out enemies to take out his anger on.

For everyone arguing in the comments.. Chosen one was made to replace this song as they couldnt get ahold of the bands singer at the time for the rights to use this song Now stop arguing over music
That was with another unused track called Broken. I haven't really seen any concrete evidence of it myself but everybody else says MagnaFi simply liked the song so much they decided to reserve it for their album only.
