- This is what happens when a massive build up of water breaches the slope of a steep sand berm. The surfers and body boarders in this video are extremely experienced. Even to the pros were extremely hesitant to attempt riding this beast of a river wave. There are several hazards to jumping in a river wave that has this much water moving and I would highly discourage it. This is historical footage when it comes to the sheer power and magnitude of water flowing from a sand berm being breached. I believe the flow rate and height of the wave in this video is very comparable to the Waimea river wave that @JamieOBrienJOB rode in the winter of 2022. This phenomenon is a prime example of the extreme power that is created from water and gravity. The riders in this video include Ross, Bob Forbes, and Chad Barba. I respect that none of them risked their life for a very sketchy river wave filled with tons of debris.

Dude should put down the camera and put his money where his mouth is. If he wants someone to do something dangerous so bad, he can be the one to do it instead yelling at his friends to “go.” Waiting for it to settle a little was the right thing to do.

Seriously, and dude was ridiculously loud in the audio. There was some nice rides and standing waves in the 2nd half but it was hard for me to enjoy with camera mans scream still ringing in my ears.

Water stops flowing, winter storms come and the sand wall gets eventually rebuilt from storm washout. But so much dirt washed out and the beach is ruined.

Normally i love Skid Kids stuff... I stopped watching because the camera dude is trying to make kids surf way out of their comfort zone for content.
I don’t believe this is footage from Blair (cannot see or hear him) and his cameraman has actually been a woman now for ages not a dude. In fact the dude filming here isn’t his last cameraman either as he had a thick accent. Read the video description appears to be someone elses old footage his sharing.

I’m pretty sure it is against the law to do this kind of thing and maybe the videos should be turned over to the wildlife and fisheries and I’m sure they could charge the boys and their families tens of thousands of dollars for the destruction of public property
