What they could do, is to make a better optimized engine based on this one for classic LoL, to make sure everyone still can play in potatoes, but upgrading massively the graphics like this. But still, this isn't something you can make even in a full year. It takes time.

A good example is Elderwood Ahri, the splash is absolutely beautiful but personally the model is too saturated. It would be more convenient if Riot implemented model showcases like in Wild Rift so that the players don’t have to actively search for the model online.
