- The Surge is a popular Distance Driver from Discraft. With a rare combination of control, distance and late flight stability, the Surge can find a slot in the bag for players of most skill levels.

Man I really appreciate how you don't have a massive arm. It's really frustrating to see all these 400+ arm guys reviewing discs when I only throw 325... max. This was a very helpful review for that reason.
The Surge is a money disc!
The Wraith of Discraft!
Total workhorse!
Most underrated disc in the discraft game, thanks for the review!
Hoping it makes a comeback!
These are some of the best disc review video's i've seen. Great job.
Thank you!
The Surge is my favorite driver by far. Glad to see it getting some love!
So little out there about the Surge, I’m happy to help out a bit and show how great of a disc it is!
Great reviews. Love that you post the distances. Reviews with people throwing are so useless without the distance.
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the channel!
I wasn’t even looking at this disc ever... now after watching your vid.... I WANT ONE haha... you’ll make me skint lol
Great vid
Great content
Great Chanel
Thank you for the kind words! I hope Discraft catches up soon, so we can get a restock of these!
Nate Doss crushed the Surge back in the day! It’s a Discraft Wraith! Workhorse of a disc!
the surge is the disc i got my first ace w... love this disc
ESP, ESP FLX, and Supercolor are all OOP. They did a limited release in ESP for Infinite in the Spring, but it’s not part of Discraft’s regular run. They should bring back the ESP variant at the very least, since it flies truest to the flight numbers.
I’m sad I missed out on the run of ESP this year. Hoping for another run, maybe Ledgestone in 2021!
I still have a Nate Doss ESP Surge in my bag, from around 2009. It's nice and beat in, and is a fantastic straight and long driver. I'd love to see some new ESP runs.
Perfectly executed shots
Thank you!
as a fellow lefty in the metro area, any chance you have time for a social distance round? would love to play with someone like myself who is from the area and knows their stuff. my max drives right now are around 400 ft, 350ish consistently with 90% power. looking to compete a LOT this coming spring and summer. Thanks! loving the channel. Glad i found it!
I have a crazy old elite Z surge. Thing will flip over like crazy but easily one of my favorite discs. I had to take it out of the bag tho I really don’t wanna lose it.
It’s tough when a disc is in that sweet spot!
Im so jealous of your weather, in northern sweden we already have winter 😭
Oh this was filmed months ago 😅 we have several inches of snow out. I just have 20ish videos pre videos 😂
Would this be like a higher speed Tracker?
Anyone know, is this disc out of production now? I bag 4 wraiths in different stability’s and was looking to replace them with the surge.
Not out of production, but due to Covid, restock of them has been limited. Ledgestone had a small run a month or so ago. Hoping they will catch up and be making more very soon!
The Valley and Shakopee!
Also, why review a disc that is no longer in production?
It’s true that they only make the Surge in Z atm, but like with any other disc, there are a lot in circulation and wanted to have a video for people to be able to reference!
Once Discraft catches back up, I’m sure the Surge will be easier to find as they will be restocked!
I've been looking really hard for surges. It kind of seems like theyre out of production
They are only made in Z atm, but with Discraft behind and trying to catch up, they are focusing more on the popular molds, like the Paul McBeth and Paige Pierce discs. Once demand slows down and they catch up, I’m sure we will see these restocked!
@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf in my opinion this would be a fantastic tour series disc for someone on the team. Especially with some of the signature discs being over lapped between pros (if I remember correctly). I think, specifically sole of the slower arm speeds.
What’s your opinion/insight, Lefty?
Look for Z Surges in the Ledgestone Wave 2 release, which, from what I've read, is targeted for April.
