Go into settings and adjust the stick settings .. can't remember exactly off hand the name but I had the issue and looked into replacing it before finding the setting ... you just change what you stick knows as center
I used WD-40 "Contact Cleaner" to fix my drift on mine and my nephews controller. It Has to be the "Contact Clearner" version, so you can't just use any WD-40. There are a number of UA-cam vids that will tell you this and help show you how best to fix controller drift.
I noticed that in game, my buddy sees me as holding my weapon over my head when I go to shoot, but on my screen, I’m holding the weapon normally. My height in game is perfect to my real life height so I’m not sure what’s causing it. I noticed a lot of players I have fought also seem to be holding their weapons above their heads which I don’t think they are actually doing on their end.
@@kmn9568 - the height editing works for me especially if I make sure to reset my boundary and floor in oculus as well before editing my height in game. Weird bug though. Loving the game overall

This game is actually fucking nuts and missle silo is god damn terrifying. It's buggy as hell but I (almost) don't care when there's so much detail in the game. It's the only vr game i've played that doesn't just have the mag snap to the magwell, like you actually have to put it in right and push it all the way up. The collision is pretty cool too but tbh its so fucking buggy with the lootboxes I'm thinking they should probably get rid of it with the hands if it's too difficult to work on. Also my only major complaint is my bag has dissapeared multiple times because I tried to take it off while crouched. (This could all be a quest 2 thing)
Nice vid! Hey, why do you throw away your SKS mags when you reload? Some of them still have rounds left in them and you could bring them back and re-load them.
This was recorded during the open alpha and even during regular game I personally just don't care about the SKS mags since I really don't use it regularly lol but yeah one could definitely load them.
for one if youre in a fight id rather drop the mag and put a new one in (and maybe worry about grabbing it if i win) than have to try to inventory manage in the middle of a firefight. secondly sks mags are cheap and you can buy them at level 1. I try my best to save stuff like ak mags cuz you cant buy them until later on
Is there a way to get the longer weapons to handle properly? I’ve started holding the AKM further from my face, and that’s helped a bit, but the buttstock in game still manages to get hung up and twists on occasion.
If you're on Quest and having this issue because of the rings - what I've found that works is curling the off-hand to the outside as much as comfortably possibly and it seems to give me view of both hands but for vids like this, when I can I'm using base-station tracking so I don't have to think about that issue. Another way to go around the problem is to upgrade your controllers to the new Quest Pro controllers that have individual tracking capability so you'll no longer have the occlusion to worry about.

Thank! Also yes, right eye and I use a plug-in that captures HMD raw to OBS but same thing can be done with SteamVR view mine is just more customizable with how I can crop it so I prefer plug-in method.
I need to know if guns can jam in this game or if it’s a glitch I keep running into 😂 I keep tossing guns away because the lock up on me sometimes and haven’t been able to find out if it’s a mechanic and I’m missing how to unjam them lol
So I also had this happen….and I realized that just like how you have to have bolts open to insert certain mags (just like irl), also - some weapons need to have their safety selectors off in order to rack a round. You most likely had it on safety and didn’t notice so it was locked. However, yes, in the future you will have to fix various types of weapon jams.

So I've been watching and I'm very curious about the game, very tempted to buy it, but I need to know prior to purchase: is the game crossplay between other mediums? Like Quest 2 to Steam. So it seems like the sitting calibration system gives an advantage over the standing calibration system. By clicking to crouch your footsteps are quieter than if you just crouch down. You sound like you’re running through gravel and potato chip bags this whole raid.
@@MrWhitty2000 you’re right. After watching I went back and tried using the sitting calibration while standing and couldn’t actually tell as much of a difference as I thought I did previously. I think it’s going to come down to the actual speed you’re moving rather than actually crouching
Ever trekked miles with 60/80lbs on? Unless you go inch by inch, it's loud af. I've done it countless times irl in the Army & still do when going in the middle of nowhere to hunt as a civilian. It's not quiet by any means.

If you’re having a hard time getting out alive then I’d start just going on with absolutely nothing on to get better and better over time without risking any of your own gear. Think less, act more aggressively when fighting and you’ll start naturally learning from your mistakes. Takes quite a bit of time to get decent at FOS games in VR if you’re newer.

Instead of looking like you're holding a gun, your hand is tilted so far back that it looks like you're trying to reel in a fish. UPDATE: Heh, never mind. I tried holding my gun like you do IRL and it works really well. Much easier to see the sights. So forget everything I just said above. 😁
You talking about in the thumbnail? Perspective is kinda hard to reflect through 2D but it’s actually pretty normal to me and my experiences irl. I’ll almost go 45 degree up to cock right-bolted weapons and I’ll exaggerate for pics, of course.

How you are possible to play this long i can play like 15 minutes and then i get dizzy and feel to vomit :/ Its nice Game and i would like to play it more :(
If you’re new to VR then def take it off as soon as you feel sick and go right back in once it’s over. Use your right directional stick as little as possible in the beginning and maybe practice a slow paced single player game with less movement so you can use your body for a while then eventually gradually bring your right stick back into the mix. This will eventually get your brain used to the artificial movement and you’ll be fine. Just give it some time. I had the same issue initially but I could stay in VR for days now if I wanted.

I'm sure some adjustments will be made but I think you might be talking about the inertial system that was custom designed, where the weapon for example could seem to be a bit 'bouncy' at times? If that's the case, this is intentional although again I'm not sure how much it'll be adjusted, I do feel something along those lines is necessary from being 'too snappy' with things like huge weapons in your hand.
@@MrWhitty2000 oh, that sucks. i hate when the guns arent responsive in vr games. that shitty onward game does the same. contractors is the gold standard when it comes to how guns feel in a vr game. in a video game, controls should be snappy and responsive. even guns in into the radius feel better then this. hopefully maybe they give players the option of having responsive controls in the future.

it's in alpha. There are alot of changes coming soon but yes now it's glitchy
I think the height is bugged, bc when i plug in my real height it showed that my player model was taller than me.

Head-based movement? Absolutely. I use smooth motion cranked up and slightly adjust with my stick as well.

If the turning is choppy get help in Discord it shouldn’t be. Usually fixes for that or setting more limits on the system.
