I hope that helps people who watch the show think and see better because they get so angry at Nolan because he sees humans as pets but literally Mark and many viewers do the same thing with insect people
"Bulletproof" was an early discarded name for the main character and the series (and the suit Mark didn't want and Bulletproof is wearing was also an early discarded design for Mark's suit). The whole character is (at this point) basically an inside joke, a "what could have been", so you can expect him to have similar powers to Mark. He ended up being quite an interesting character in the books, though, despite this origin, so I'm looking forward to what they do with him in the adaptation.
Interestingly the big guy of the lizard league is called komodo dragon. Irl Komodo dragons have flexible skulls, loosely articulated jaws, and expandable throats and stomachs that allow them to swallow their prey whole, if his powers are somewhat based on the animal, it explains why he was able to deal with rae.
I'm really happy you guys appreciated the dialogue between Mark and Andressa, especially around 9:00, for some reason most reactors did not much care about it but honestly I think the writing is so good there. The show is amazing at putting Mark in situations where he could see the situations from different perspectives and develop real empathy. At the start of the series he was just a teenager boy who acts upon his superficial ideals about heroism. But now he is slowly becoming an actual kind, caring person, even towards the most awful people. It's such good character development but credit to the writers it's also being handled in such a subtle, natural way too.
Seriously... This scene was so good and I love how it gives mark the perspective Noland has on humans and their lifespans. Just amazing - Mark is best boy
Alen was made that way remember he was genetically engineered to fight so the closer he gets to death the stronger he becomes when he recovers. He's basically a sayian
You pausing after she said Eve's dad is worse than Nolan and then unpausing when she retracted her statement was fucking hilarious. love y'alls conversations!
37:38 Regarding D&D, there is a I think very good adult centric animated show (like Invincible) on Amazon which recently finished it's 3rd season and it's called "The Legends of Vox Machina". It is based on an acutal campaign form the "Criticale Role" on YT and the same people from that campaign are behind the show as well and even voice their characters.
the lizard league always seems weak because the guardians always have a full team, but them against the 3 weakest members makes them look a lot stronger
Oliver will be able to live well beyond a human’s lifetime despite his Mother’s peoples DNA. I have a theory about Viltrumite DNA that explains how breeding with non-genetically similar species but it includes spoilers.
We saw King Lizard with his mother as a young boy pulling the heist on the hospital where Eve's mother was I believe their only connection is coincidental
Like others have said, Allen was part of their breeding super soldier program. He was the ONLY, success. He was stronger than other Unopans. However, he was FAR weaker than a viltrumite. Optimus Viltrumite there, he took a gamble, there was NO guarantee that him being the only successful result of that program, would mean he gets to steal a page from the Saiyan handbook, where they get stronger in proportion to how much their ass gets kicked, and how near death they get.
Yeah, Thaedus had a useless cripple in his hands and made a bet; worst case scenario, Allen was put out of his misery; best case scenario, something in the supersoldier process clicked and he came back stronger (and much beefier). The Coalition basically won the lottery there.
1:51 You will get that answer eventually. 5:18 That was the young prince Lizzard from the Atom Eve special but he seems to be king now. 7:10 I think in the comics the Thraxans make the person ruler who is the oldest on their planet, so Mark might have been their ruler for a time so to speak (at least in the comics). I'm also pretty sure that instead of this outfit in the comics he got a Vultrumite one from the Vultrumites who took his father away. 7:42 I think this guy has realitiy warping powers. They show the full fight in the comics. 16:23 Pretty sure Cecil also does this to keep an eye on Mark. 33:15 That happens when all of the ultra strong team members aren't there. 36:30 I think that might be a combination of his race and most likely him being engeniered a certain way in the breeding camp.
Eve's dad is a worse dad and person than even omniman. Omniman did a lot of murder but imagine what Eve's dad would be like with the same tools at his disposal.
its not eves brother i shoulda said this in the last episode you talked about it, there was just a small bit of prince lizard in the atom eve special, i thought this was what you said the other episode too, but it was too crazy so i thought you knew we saw eves brother turn to dust sorry
Mark seeing the Thraxans age gives him a better perspective from his dad’s view on how Nolan sees humans age
I hope that helps people who watch the show think and see better because they get so angry at Nolan because he sees humans as pets but literally Mark and many viewers do the same thing with insect people
I deadass commented the same thing on episode 4😂
Love it, great writing
King lizard is literally the first character that appears in the atom eve special he was prince lizard now king lizard

That and the fact that rae is not super strong or super durable, at least not more than he was

Yeah, he's literally the embodiment of what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Great insights! Ya I guess certain characters in the show just made the Lizard League look like a joke when they were in fact NOT
8:58 That hit like a truck.
Fr I knew it was coming but still such a great scene
YOOO WE GOT THE FAST UPLOAD
Drop the season finale NOW !!!
I really love your reaction guys 💙 this show in my opinion is one of the best animations of all time
This episode was like GoT. Don't get attached to the characters 😂
Eve's dad is a worse dad and person than even omniman. Omniman did a lot of murder but imagine what Eve's dad would be like with the same tools at his disposal.
Good point but tbf he’s against powers
Blowing up the ship would risk sequids landing on earth
Mark is getting stronger
YA HE IS :)
