i love how you interview genshin creators and hear what they go through there life and genshin experience. can you interview Murderofbirds next? hes also a story/lore guy. also can confirm we filipino for some reason have a Build in radar in our brain that detects fellow filipinos.
MurderofBirds would be a good guest as well but he is quite busy for a bit and currently he has plans on September to go in a Disney Cruise with his girlfriend But he is one if not the only creator for genshin to make a time capsule like commentary playthrough for nostalgia and not capitalize fully to get traction for just posting current archon quest to gain a bigger following. Another good guest would be BranOnline one of the creators that joined late to genshin he joined during (2.3) but still gained a huge following especially when he caught up fast to the main story so insight and experience for fast growth is possible. For a non specific gacha or whale OkCode is a decent guest he played Arknights, and was known to be a top player in the early days of Epic Seven which is a turn base game which can lead also towards his insight towards gacha games turn base (HSR and Epic Seven comparison)
Apart from her lore knowledge, I really don’t know why Hoyo does not offer Aster a job as a voice actress. Her voice is amazing! Cheers to you Sevy, keep them coming, it is so heartwarming to see your interactions with the guests and your questions do help us to get to know them better!
For the EN VAs that is handled by a third party company which is in the US so that would play a large part in who they hire. Actually that is still the same for CN VAs so it is probably the same for all languages.
It's a good thing she isn't. The company responsible for the EN VAs is terrible. Paimon's EN VA has basically been working for free for several months now because the company has not paid her yet. Same with other EN VAs.
I don’t comment ever but I just wanted to also say I’m loving this podcast. Thank you so much for thinking outside the box and for truly trying to connect with these amazing people ❤
i had no idea chillwithaster is a comms student OMG I THOUGHT WE WERE AN ENDANGERED SPECIES IN THE PH INDUSTRYYY also genshin's world building, story, and character development are some of the main reasons why i can't let it go, because as a comms student, the stuff hoyovorse cooks up is so juicy and interesting, i feel like i'm behind in media if i dont look into it. it's also really cool to hear aster do the parasocial thesis thingy, especially since games are such an underrated field (it's considered literature, but oftentimes movies and books are analyzed) to research in media, and i'm glad there are people like her that integrates it into their studies ^^
SO cool to see my favourite SEA genshin creators colab. Thanks to Aster I got introduced with the lore of Genshin and been watching every video of hers ever since. Love ur Podcast Sevy
Aster's content is great because you get informative videos narrated in a fun & cute way and disturbing videos narrated in a fun & cute way. Good luck with Fontaine pronunciations. French is at odds with Filipino languages because of how many silent letters are used. The manadory French classes in Canada was easily the most difficult thing to acclimatize to when my family immigrated. We left when I was 5 & there are still times when the accent slips out. Unless you actively train yourself, like an actor or a business professional, you'll never be able to truly drop an accent.
I suspected Aster was Filipino because of how she pronounced certain words. I just can't specify now what those words are but I know they were individual words. But I only confirmed it when she used Filipino terms like "utang na loob" in one (or more) of her videos.

I was about to suggest going to interview Aster as a fellow Filipino Genshin creator, but seems like great minds think alike. Would love to see interviews of other Filipino Genshin personalities like Anne Yatco as well.
This was excellent, I love the Sevy Talks videos! I am a huge lore fan and really loved the last two videos with Ashikai and now Aster. Great job with the topics and questions, it was really interesting to hear what you both had to say as content creators. And as an American, you both sound very American to me 😂
This was really fun each episode is amazing and hard to find a favorite. I was also one of those people who confused Aster with Ashikai back in the day lol. It was less of the voice, but more so that youtube would always recommend their videos back to back and their lore video styles are similar to my now understanding of how Genshin impact lore is vs how I'm used to watching lore content where is a lot more in all honesty dry with little humor or never really seeing the personality behind the information. Both Aster and Ashikai put a lot of their personality into their content and that was very new for me in lore content and when I was new to both of them I didn't have much of a distinction between them past what my ears understood as "mildly unhinged girl rambling about genshin impact". After watching them both for years I see the differences in how unhinged they are and understand the overlap I previously thought was similar content style/interests is moreso just what they have available to actually talk about due to how Genshin provides it's lore.
As someone who studied in social working and psychology. Parasocial interactions and statistics was subjects I loved to work on. Hearing someone else's take on it on a different field of study was really interesting. I really enjoyed this episode. Thank you to both of you ^_^
It is so nice to hear how a masscom student sees the game and even publishes papers about it. Also loved the section where Aster just talked about people in her audience 'smelling' her Filipino-ness xD Thanks for another cool episode, Sevy!!

Ayooo didn't know Aster is a pinoy! It just so happens that whenever there is a new unit in Genshin and HSR I always watch Sevy's guides and I also watch Aster's Genshin lore videos. Love both of your creative contents!
Loving the podcasts recently, and as a aspiring Filipino creator, I appreciate this openness and honesty about the balance between content creation and personal life. ^^
I thought English is like their second language, I’m a student in Thailand and all the foreign teachers from my middle school are all Filipinos who can speak English.
@@kokonut7342yah yah English is our 2nd Language but a significant amount of people here, like me, are not that capable of talking in full English for an extended amount of time, more so with a nice accent. If I would have to guess, the Filipino teachers in Thailand probably are trained to be able to communicate with English for a good amount of time. Personally, I am capable of speaking in English for a long time, albeit with occasional stutters, heavy accent and nervousness😂. I am quite capable of writing in full english tho, it is just harder when you have to talk :)
@@owendavidmalicsi5900 Ohhh, also same I’m able to communicate in English but my accent is bad and stutter a lot when actually speaking. Thanks for the answer too!💗
That thing about mild Filipino accents is so true! People from English speaking countries think I'm American, Filipinos know instantly I'm Filipino, and people from the rest of the world have just... buckwild guesses as to where I'm from based on my voice. My favorite guess has been a South American confidently guessing I was surely from Eastern Europe.
