Man I just started listening to AYREON a WK ago and now I can't get enough of their music . This is amazing music . Some of the best that I have heard in a long time. The vocalist the musicians are all top of their game . THANK YOU for bringing an old man some very much needed joy and happiness .
This is seriously one of the most headbanger riffs I've ever heard. Every time I play this thing I'm amazed. PArticularly when it comes back at the end of the solo... Christ. Paul Gilbert plus this awesomeness of a riff, can't go wrong.

It's really interesting to see who played what roles in these live performances of tracks from The Source. Universe obviously couldn't have individual singers for every role of The Source since it's only a small part of the concert (unlike the more focused Into the Electric Castle Live). Shifting parts around must have been quite a challenge. Just consider that 4 main singers performed this piece when it was originally written for 8 singers. For example Hansi sings both the parts of the Astronomer and the Captain, basically turning what was a duet into a solo performance. And Mike Mills was of course one of the few singers that had no appearance in this song yet he filled the roles of the Historian and the Chemist here. It's insane that they managed to pull this off without it seeming weird in any way. I'm especially impressed at how well Maggy fits into all this, considering she didn't have any parts that were written for her.

Arjen is like the middle man that brings all these immensely talented yet different people together. We have power metal. Symphonic metal, progressive metal and progressive rock, hard rock, acoustic rock, folk rock and metal, heavy metal. All these artist come together outside of what they normally do in their own respective bands and create something wonderful to stand the test of time. I mean where else besides an ayreon album will you find a song that features both tobias sammett and James Labrie together?
I wonder if Ayreon was formed during the early 90's that would be a lot awesome with the singers in their peak, Imagine singers Like Labrie, Dio, Dickinson, Sebastian Bach, Geoff Tate, James Hetfield, or anyone else in that era would collaborate together in an Ayreon Album. Its awesomeness beyond comprehension :D
Well, let's say that Arjen, as a masterclass himself, knows that Floor can literally sing ANYTHING a human being can imagine... Plus, they know each other really well, Floor was featured in an Ayreon song when she was just 16 years old... She is far beyond masterclass 🤪
Always save the best for last... nah, just kidding, every single one of the singers is awesome, but hey, what a better way to close a song that with Floor Jansen even if it's just for 5 seconds?
