From all the audio/home theater channels I watch, Andrew & Kris you are the ONLY channel that will say a product from a brand is not worth it. You don't cater to maintain brand relationships. We trust you guys. And a hour more of super chat questions is proof you guys matter in this space.
It's rare that I get to watch live but when I get home from work I love to decompress with your entertaining and informative conversations. I probably look like a schizophrenic as I chime along with the conversation at my laptop! Thanks for the great work.
For Bill Thompson, the condo question, get a dual oppose subwoofer. I bought a KEF KC62 last year. It blew my mind. The box does not vibrate at all. I love this design so much so, I got an Arendal 1723 2S a few months later. Same amazing bass without shaking the floor. These dual oppose subwoofers are a god sent. You will be able to blast your system. Andrew has the SVS micro with this design. Maybe he can chime in.
I missed the live stream but enjoying it now in the garage with the wood stove roaring. Finished the garage stereo last weekend. The largest bose environmental speakers paired with the Cambridge axr85. Matched up with a Yamaha DSX18 powered pa sub. Keeps the 10 acres alive no doubt. Happy st Patrick’s day to you both. Ah are you going to make it to Axpona next month in Illinois?
Hi Joshua, thanks so much for the super thanks! We really appreciate it. We are not attending Axpona. Enjoy your new system! We'll see you on the next one (every 3rd Thursday).
Thanks for your great answer to my question earlier ♥ I was wondering, though if there was something technical I could do to boost those upper frequencies. “Brighter” tweeters etc, to help mitigate age related frequency loss. Andrew was correct though when he said I no longer have to chase that dragon. I love listening to my music anyway.
I don't disagree, for a properly placed subwoofer is about more than simply hitting the low notes, it can be about filling in or combating poor room acoustics too.
@Tim Morrow - I think Marantz Cinema series supports what you’re looking for. - Speakers - Speakers + Bluetooth Headphones - Bluetooth Headphones Only. They sadly only support one to one for Bluetooth.
Glad to hear the Anthem MRX 740 review is still coming. I currently have the Integra DRX 5.4, which I love. But I’m considering moving to Anthem in the future. I’ve also considered the new Sonys, but not sure about their proprietary room correction.
Hey guys. Hate I missed the live. I know you are really good about going back and answering questions. And I have one for you. I have some klh model 5’s in my listening area and I am trying to find a center channel that goes well with them. My first thought was another model 5 but not sure if I can swing that. I’m running a older paradigm 350 center channel. Do you have any suggestions what might work well with them? Under 1.5k would be best. Thanks.
QUICK QUESTION: I’m finally taking the plunge into a high end (for me) system. I just purchased a set of slightly used RP-8000F IIs and am looking to pair them with a good (affordable) AVR. I was thinking of getting a used 1080 but I’m worried the 8000s might a little bright with that bright of a receiver? I’m trying to keep the cost down and don’t want to spend the money for a AN1000 if at all possible. Do you think a 1080 would work with my 8000s or do you have another affordable/used option you’d recommend? Sorry to be “that Guy” and hope for an answer - I’m sure you get “too many people” asking for help like this, and I Totally get it. ANY insights/suggestions would be Greatly Appreciated. I’m just ignorant about this stuff and can’t really absorb a bad decision. Thanks for doing what you do - Keep up the Fantastic work :-)
Do they work together? Yes they will work but if you are at all worried about the high frequencies, you'd be better off with something like this amzn.to/3bq8dYu. It will do all the things the 1080 can do and then some. Buy right buy once is my best advice.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews FANTASTIC!! I cannot Thank you enough for your help - Means more than you know🙏If you ever make it to Bend Oregon, I’ll buy you a beer😎👍Thanks again!!
As for the LOXJIE A30 it’s a great value chip amp/DAC and decent headphone amp. If you use it for your main system, I recommend efficient speakers and a powered sub to take some of the base load off the amp.
Great video 👍 I'd love to see a review on the brand new JMGO N1 ultra projector, it's so new there aren't many reviews to find, and I always like to hear your opinions.
Hi both, have you ever experienced any issues on your audiolabs where the sound volume/dynamic changes between sources, I hook my Samsung tv up to both the optical and Bluetooth setting and it seems a lot quieter/less dynamic but when playing vinyl or through my phone Bluetooth it’s a lot louder, puzzled!
This is not the fault of the Audiolab but rather one of the realities of the difference in gain (or dynamic range) between sources and/or signals. Even on the same source, for example Apple TV, the volume between say a stereo track in Apple Music and an Atmos one can vary wildly.
At first I thought they were taking about the 924 yikes. I always liked the look of the 928s, but to me if you are going to have one Porsche it has to be some version of a 911 in manual.
He says R700 in the video. Seems to think they perform better than L600 (I assume due to the newer port design). I kinda wish someone would do a deeper dive on the differences.
Because I live in Japan that doesn’t mean I’m not a faithful watcher of your post my problem is a time zone problem ~ Ok so I just put in my order for the Rotel 1592 integrated receiver ~ It seems they don’t sell 1592 MK2 here they have the cheaper 1579 model here instead because as Rotel put it to me the Japanese don’t need 350 watts into 4 ohms ~ The person I talked to said 1592 MK2 will run over here with no problem on 120 volts ~ I also just ordered a pair of Magnapans LRS+ ~ Do you see any problems with 100 volts here on a 120 volts amp ~ Also will you ever do a review on the LRS +
I have a set of Martin Logan ESL’s and have been using the Emotiva Bas-X series amps. After your review of the Emotiva XPA-HC1 monoblocks and the new Martin Logan XT F100, I am considering combining the monoblock with the XT’s. What is your opinion of that combo? Thanks! And Go UT Longhorns!!
I recently sent you an instagram of a Carver video explaining magnetic field amps and sonic holography. Curious if you saw it? Granted, it is so 80’s, but grab some popcorn and enjoy!

New Marantz products are in route for us to test so we'll be sure to comment on the DIRAC implementation as well as how it compares to Audyssey and Sony's new room correction. Thanks for your support!
What would your channel look like if you didn't have to rely on manufacturer's support? I'm thinking a few years in the future where maybe we can incentivize UA-cam in a different way.
Idk, they don’t seem to bow down to the manufactures from what I’ve seen. They did a pretty scathing review of the B&W 600 series awhile back. Their minor aesthetic comments about emotive products got them dropped from their review circuit, yet they still recommend their products. Similar issue with SVS which stopped sending the demos since they wouldn’t guarantee a positive review, yet they still recommend some SVS products .
I've used both mics now and for the most part they seem to do an equally good job for what I feel will be their typical use. If you're really wanting to get down to some high-high level measurements and use higher sample rates etc, then the 2 is the better option. But in-room sweeps 20-20, you can totally get away with the 1.

Yea well for me.. I'll take a 1970's JBL class A amplifier and those classic cabinets a Girard turntable and vinyl over every digital set up. Drop a pebble in a lake. Hello from Puerto Rico. How does the Sonus Faber Lumina 3 compare to similar small flor standing speakers?
As for the LOXJIE A30 it’s a great value chip amp/DAC and decent headphone amp. If you use it for your main system, I recommend efficient speakers and a powered sub to take some of the base load off the amp.

Whichever you prefer.
928S nice choice. 944 Turbo, also great looking. Not great performers, either of them.

Which is better Qacoustic 3050i cenema pack or wharfedale diamond 12.3 cinema pack with avr denon avrx 3700 for listening indian hindi music .
I want to buy a tower and looking at the polk R700 and thinking about the L600 witch would you choose and why?
