Brilliant fishing. You can't complain about catching 3-4lb fish every cast and the chance of the odd big one. It's amazing how obsessed with peeler smoothies are, especially when you think that can't possibly be what they eat all day!
Brilliant video - such a great looking place to fish with tonnes of smoothound and other species. Hopefully that planned manmade lagoon or whatever it is wont go ahead. It would be a disaster for the area.... Have just found and subscribed to your channel. Brilliant. Keep the videos comin they are very very good. Thank you 👍

very safe over low water we tend to fish 3 down 1 hr up but i would want to start walking off after 3 hours on the flood at the latest but usually leave after 2 hrs massive beach with loads of space
I live close by and fish talacre twice a week at least, it's such an unpredictable mark... Sometimes it's like this I'll do 8 hounds and a couple of bass in 2-3 hours then other days it's dead you might get a couple of dabs or nothing at all... How do you decide what days you're gonna come down and fish it mate? Relatively new to sea fishing still got lots to learn
alter your casting distance sometimes the fish can be very close in or further out talacre will fish on any tide but i chose neap tides 8.0m to 9.m seem to produce better

they also take squid and black lug and squid wraps with very good results
Was down there the other week wiv Dave Radcliffe and dave Roberts was a great morning session nice hounds m8 great place

How long can you fish for smooth hounds when do they leave Northwest coastline and were do they go
May June July they will go back out in aug there still about but there getting thinner on the ground.

What strength hook snood would you use for smoothies mate?
You need a good strong hook one that won't bend out as there is a chance of a nice sized hound up to 15lb about snood 30lb to 40lb
