The KTM Duke 125 is the cheapest KTM motorcycle that you can buy in 2018. This motorcycle has all the equipment from the Duke 200 but packs in a smaller 124.7 cc engine that makes 14 hp and 12 Nm of torque.

Its similar to some 150 cc commuters.
The pricing is at the higher side, but it's not overpriced. Similar to the R15, it also offers something extra for the price it demands, as compared to the common 125s and modern day 150s such as the fz, gixxer or hornet. The KTM duke 125 offers USD front forks, trellis frame, better swingarm, liquid cooling, ABS, bigger brakes and wider tyres; the power figures are similar to the 150s. The R15 on the other hand offers perimeter or deltabox frame, race swingarm, liquid cooling, slip and assist clutch, vva, duel headlamps, excellent gearbox (as the experts say), full fairing; here the power figures are similar to the 200s. So, the pricings are high but genuine.

Only a drag race with the R15 can prove it's worth. But you're right, the equipment on offer is a steal for the money!
The R15 is faster, I have ridden it so I know that, but this is an option for people who don't want the riding position of a faired bike but want the naked bike at the same time great mileage and safety and equipment.

Sandesh Shrestha i have test ridden the d125 and its power delivery is like the Gixxer 155 not like the r15 v3.r15 could go toe to toe with ns on acceleration but not the d125 and yhe d125 took almost 20 sec to reach 100 kph mark.so how am i wrong and r15 belongs to the supersport segment and the d125 is a naked like the ns,the automotive reviewers are getting paid to compare it with the r15 while it is priced more than the apache and ns200.Open ur eye man.

Man now I would say that I saw a good review .... Not the best video editing but trust me ... Ur getting their ... Btw just wanted to know would it be a good bike for daily riding purpose ... ie- 60 km a day sort of ?? And how is it's comfort levels ??
It's a bike meant for daily rides and comfort is a Duke level, not as plush as some commuter bikes but for me it's okay. The light weight bike makes it harder to handle.

Duke 200 also comes with single channel ABS not dual channel.
My only concern as the Duke 125 as my first bike, is that I might grow out of it really fast.

Single channel abs means if you press only rear brakes hard then the rear wheel will skid, right? Could you please demonstrate that in your next video.

I guess apache rtr 200 and pulsar ns 200 are offering much better value and performance with similar kind of hardware

No the Apache or the ns200 does not offer WP branded USD front forks or a WP monoshock. They lack a gear position indicator, service remainder, led indicators both of em are SOHC whereas the KTM engine is DOHC, no trellis frame that increases the handling n corner carving abilities, no aluminium swingarm, no fuel injection or ECU controlled ignition as standard, no ABS as standard and for the ns no fully digital instrument cluster and they don't get the 300mm 4 piston calipers from bybre. All this for an an increase of 20k is justifiable. And overall u get a premium European Brand name which both TVS and bajaj lack. So in sum total they don't offer better value maybe the RTR but not the NS. They just simply offer better performance

Hey it produce 14.8 bhp at whooping 9250 rpm. This means the power kick in upper revs where an ordinary person can never reach i.
It's 125 cc, even in city I could reach that RPM.
Duke 200 comes with Single Channel ABS. The back sensor wheel is an RLP sensor just like you see in the Duke 125

Hi. Please suggest, I want to purchase my first super bike. I liked Ducati supersport, triumph street triple RS and Suzuki GSX 750. I am only 5’4 in.

I would ask you to consider the Ducati Monster 821, same electronics as supersports but doesn't heat up that much in city and also comes with a seat lowering option. The RS I feel will be too high for you and the gsx 750 a bit too heavy.

It makes the rear suspension harder or softer at hardest the bike seat height increases and softest it decreses. It also affects handling.

I heard 125 hs higher compression ration than 200 even 390 also... pls can i explain in details...also that abs sensor on rear wheel... what is the use of that as its not dual channel abs... waiting for ur ans... and video also...
The ABS on rear wheel doesn't work, the sensor is there because it's the same wheel as used in the new 200 or 390.
Sales guy told me that in front hard breaking it avoid lifting rear wheel... that mean sensor is working but not as abs... may be in future krm ll activate as abs... let see

yes. you can also lower the preload to get a slightly lower seat height (Adjust the rear suspension)

The Gixxer SF offers better acceleration making more torque at much lesser rpm. Also what's the point of having USD forks, liquid cooling, etc if the bike produces only 14bhp of power!
