Camped that very spot numerous times over the years with friends and family. Started to get overused in the summer so we haven't been in around a decade. Great video✌️
NB is a beautiful province, have not been around that part you toured, was nice to see, was a good trail run, liked seeing the dam area to hear about the history of it, great drone footage, nice share
Brings back memories, My father law built 1st camp you drove by in 72. Back in the 80's you could drive a car to Irving's dam . Your also right that the road to lower naahwaak lake was part of Grand john road in from Fredericksburg, it was also same road that runs parallel along Nashwaak at bridge on the haul rd before it existed. Not sure what year the haul road was built thinking late 70's
I like your riding style, calm and collected haha i ride an 850 and get made fun of for how slow i ride, but i bought that size because i always have my gf or father on the back and am often loaded out with gear and want the torque required to get unstuck if needed, not for trying to get to places "first" lol I'll be checking this place out a.s.a.p , looks like an amazing camping spot ! Thanks for the content
from chimney rock he was on the trail with just hos back side showing i tried going around him and he charged at us… lets just say a polaris can outrun a bull moose our night riding idea was not a good one… lol

Thanks. Spots like this are usually empty during the week or in the off season. I was there in October on a weekday, the whole area was deserted.

I think you are right. I remember first seeing the big haul road where it crosses Rte 104 in 1979.
Been down that stretch of river many times in a canoe, all the way to Stanley, beautiful country
I've heard its a nice stretch to go down when the water is high enough. Its on my bucket list.

I hear ya. I like to look around when I'm riding the ATV. Just driving fast to get there seems like a waste.
I’m just waiting for a Bigfoot to jump out in front of him.. looks like a great adventure.😊
lol. That has happened. They call them moose.
very nice place may have to there next summer
Hi Roger, you should definitely come up our way next summer. There are lots of good trails and places to see.
@ we went up for 3 days to juniper that was great had fun until we spooked a big bull moose at 10 :30 at night coming back grom chimn

@@rogerdrisdelle5645 Wow, that was quite an adventure. Yes, going in the opposite direction is always a good policy when encountering a moose.
New to your channel, love your vids.
What do you have for bear protection if any
I have bear spray I keep in the tent at night.
Many a destination trips have been had here with me and my wheeling friends
Its a great spot for a picnic or a camp but I would be nervous there with small kids or reckless drinkers
Be careful shaking a dead tree like that to knock it down. Very often the top portion will break off and come down. #widowmaker
True enough. I should be more cautious when out there, especially when I am alone.
So where those river otters or beavers swimming in the river?
They might have been otters the way they were playing around. I thought they were ducks at the time but I think you got it right.
An Irving forester sent me pics of this to go check out. I'd have to go the mill road tho5 I'm in a jeep
Yeah, the road is passible in a jeep if you aren't too fussy about the paintwork.
