Hi Carla I have the same condition as this lady Alopecia for 27 yrs. I kept my hair for 26yrs in wigs now l wear a scarf wrapped round my head. I have looked at You Tube those the uses various products to stimulate the frolic of the hair and scalp. I spent £140.00 last year and got someone to buy the hair abroad then weaved it onto my hair. It wasn't worn not even a day. I tried cutting the wig and missed it up.
I would like to stop wearing scarf. Please help!!

Thanks so much because some men don’t understand. My husband keeps telling me to just shave my head. Some women really look sharp bald headed but I’m not comfortable shaving my head. It breaks my heart to look at myself and know what my hair use to look like. Alopecia comes in many forms mine is genetics. I have 3 older sisters same problem 2 nieces and 2 great nieces one was a baby girl born with it and she is 10 now. It’s heart breaking for some. I thank God that wigs and weaves came out but when they are off it still hurts

Just pray and try hair growth oil. My hair fell out in patches at one point because of wigs. They're not good for me. The doctor gave me medicated shampoo. It grew my hair back except for one spot. I tried another medicated shampoo my hair is growing back, my scalp feels back to normal

I have it also. Like you, my hair came out due to stress/anxiety. It came out in round patches all over different sizes. It took alot of different Drs & several months before I was able to find out what was causing it. The doctor gave me Xanax and it helped my hair grew back & my stress was managed. It's horrible when you go through this I wouldn't wish this on anybody. 🌹🕊️

😥....sooooo many people think hair is a normal thing for everyone. I hate when people talk about people who wear wigs/weaves not knowing they could be hurtin' someone who has about alopecia or cancer. People shouldn't have to explain why they wear extensions. The sad thing is not all beauticians know how to work with hair loss/patches. I wish there was more research on it. I know a few people with it.....💔 Happy when I see beauticians that are taking time to understand hair loss, and gently work their magic. I am pretty good at camouflaging hair loss, a couple family members have it. This lady is telling the truth about hair dressers, and dermatologist....
Some hair dressers can have one track mind and they don't wanna listen to special needs of the client, and they can make your hair/scalp worse. 😔
      This lady rocks!!!🙏🏽 Love this! #ablessing #loveyourselfmore #stressaffectsthehair #dontjudge #hairisexpensive

I watched this a second time because she was so forth coming: She spoke soooo much truth. She summed up all one would want to know about a alopecia sufferer. Men don’t understand why some women wear weaves and I wish they didn’t put so much pressure and question women’s actions on their hair and stop calling women fake because of it. Everyone wants to look good. You can be doing everything right fir your hair and if you have alopecia it will still fall out. Only thing I can say is unfortunately, in this day and age hair has the biggest impact on women’s appearance now a days....and there isn’t a lot of skilled, understanding hair dressers that care enough to be gentle and take steps that don’t make the alopecia worse. Such an informative video believe it or not...this needs to be shared on hair platforms. Love your work...keep blessing people with scalp disorders. 😍

Thank you Carla for this wonderful inspiring video. Your client just blessed my socks off with her transparency about her hair loss journey. It brought me to tears. And I am a person who have no falling tears due to dryness resulting from Lupus. . I went to sleep last night with my hair loss on my mind. I awake this morning with the same stress which is why I came across your channel. To GOD be the glory for the testimony from your client to just embrace this alopecia condition that I have no control over. And to continue moving forward, because alopecia do not define me. I'm going bald, that's a fact. My hair does not make me who I am. She so encouraged me to do whatever I need to do to feel good about myyself, and hold my head up high. I do praise and bless the LORD for life, my right mind, my vision, my hearing, my health and strength and GOD's presence in my life. And although it gets difficult each time I look in the mirror at my hair loss, I cry, but I am still trusting the Holy Spirit to help me to keep moving forward . HALLELUJAH!!! Carla, you are an absolutely jewel, an instrument in the hands of GOD to do the work you are doing to uplift and encourage people that there's still help for them. Praise GOD for your talented work and your faithfulness to help people. I pray that GOD will continue to bless you, your family, with the same encouragement you give to others. You put a smile on their faces and wonder in their eyes. Their transformation expressions exhibit the wonderment on the faces of kids when they awake on Christmas morning and see all that Santa has left them. Even with our hair loss, GOD is still so so so very good to us. And I praise Him for every blessing. I live in San Jose, Ca. I am 77 years old. I don't travel at all these days. But if you are ever in this area, I would definitely come by to see you. Keep on allowing the LORD to use you in such a marvelous and blessed way. TO GOD BE THE GLORY; GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE.

The people who disliked this video are probably licensed cosmetologist who know that what she did only made her alopecia journey worse. If this woman is licensed and went to school she would have known that. she should have recommended wearing wigs when she is out and professional products to help stimulate growth and healthy hair.

I have seein several of your videos and I truly admire not only your work but the kind of human being you are. I hear so many people criticize those of us who wear wigs or those of who have weaves but if not for the wigs and the weaves the bald spots from alopecia would show. But those are the type iof people who usually are the first ones to laugh at someone else. These people have ugly insides. I so appreciate who you are and what you do Carla. God bless you always.

They the kind of people I need on my team I just turned 40 January 20th a lot of people look at me and think I'm 28 or 29 but I know deep down that I'd really look closer to my age had it not been for technology and God given people wisdom to create things to help us feel better about ourselves it's not about vanity like some people think and I myself have been a hairdresser for over 21 years sometimes you just can't escape the inevitable and I know mine's come from stress as well this lady has a beautiful spirit and she is bold to allow recording and to tell her story which is what is needed in this hair stylist I commend her because I to myself deal with alopecia clients and the way they feel when they leave nothing they pay me to replace that feeling it gives me to know they left with a little more confidence thank you to every hairdresser that takes time and patience to beautify the women that come and sit in your chair and to show respect

I wish I could send a pic, didn't make a video, but its definitely a short sew in, congrats to you.

Thank you for sharing your story. I don't have alopecia but I am so touched & I admire you for telling your story. I am a cancer survivor and I remember when my doctor discussed chemotherapy with me and the hair loss side effect. I was more devasted about the loss of my hair than I was with the cancer (after I got over the shock of having being diagnosed with it). I experienced combing my hair and seeing my hair come out on the comb & waking up and seeing the hair on my pillows and bed. My daughter went shopping with me to purchase wigs & scarves but I wasted money because the wigs were too hot for me and I was tired of the scarves. Finally after losing so much of it I went to the barber and had it all cut off. My wigs & scarves laid in drawers and I went everywhere bald. I accepted it and realized I looked good bald. Put my makeup & earrings on and out the door. I know it's not the same as alopecia but I can relate to how you feel. You are truly an inspiration and you, my Queen look absolutely stunning. Yes, Carla is AWESOME in her art (and to craft with those nails is also amazing to me) 🤣😂. Keep holding your head up and be an inspiration to others that suffer from this condition. It's amazing how stylist (some, not all) are able to make the hair look soooo natural (as it looks on you). If I did not see this video and saw you personally I would not be able to tell that it's not your natural hair. Again, thank you both for sharing this video and I look forward to seeing others to come ❤️💁🏽‍♀️💇🏽‍♀️

Her complexion looks smooth,, her nails looks healthy and her eye brows looks normal so that’s an indication that her hair could grow back as long as her hair follicles aren’t damaged the hair should grow back !! If she keep the same hairstylist and do the same home treatments her hair could grow back !! Excellent job ms. Carla !! 👍
