Hi Mike. Great video and am sure others will like it. I stopped using hubnet awhile ago. I use to use it everyday in the car with a raspberry pi. I got the radio police, some guy telling me what to do and other stuff so simply called it a day and not used it since really. DMR was was the first time we had a QSO. Now the raspberry pi lives in a draw. Anyway looks a good little radio. Great work. Speak soon Motters M7TRS 73 👍🏻
I’ve been thinking about getting one of these for a while, I’ve got a mini second shack in the garage with a few basic radios and this would be a great addition for the occasional chinwag
Hi! is this "radio" able for use a SDR with a VHF Radio to build a local small repeater linked to Zello? I know that it's possible, bit with PCs, Phones or tablets. The idea is don't use a phone. Greetings!
I don't see any issues with these, you connect to the same networks & links as you would do when using a 'real' Transceiver, talk to the same people on Hubnet, Echolink etc & it's far cheaper. Ideal also if you don't have a gateway or repeater or have antenna restrictions.
I use an inrico S200 with BlueDV on it, I run Ambe server on my home computer. So the S200 connects to my home computer which is a gateway into digital voice modes. These devices do run an older version of android but all the needed apps run on older versions of android.
The problem with all these is that they run very very old versions of Android. You are far better just using your phone in the first place and getting a bluetooth fist Mic/PTT.
