I did 4 deployments to go fight in Iraq ( I volunteered for all 4 tours and did 2 tours back-to-back ) with the Texas Guard.I was in infantry units,my first tour was in late 2004 and all of 2005 at Camp TQ ( it was a Marine FOB then ) and we did joint missions with the Marines.LOVED those guys. LOL.They were my brothers in arms. Between my infantry unit and the Marines we took care of lots of bad-guys. On these 4 tours I arrested and detained countless Iraqee citizens and insurgents,kicked in countless doors on raids,etc,etc,..I was gone from my boring civilian jobs for 2 yrs and 8 months total ( due to back-to-back tours ) my co-workers thought I had quit. LOL. But,I came back,but,still did 2 more tours after the back-to-back tours.
