It plays a lot into Australia's strategy to keep Maxwell away (if possible) until the last ten overs of the match, so that he can whack it all around the ground like a Big Bash game without having to worry about holding his wicket. As such there is a lot of reliance on Warner/Finch to stay in for the first twenty overs or so to keep pressure off later into the match (especially on Australian wickets where 300+ scores are very common).
