The old Ps2 games were one of the best ever made imo

Okay, I'm turning 14 next year, and all I have to say is..Wow. This is possibly the most realistic R&C game I've seen, besides Ratchet Deadlocked. 10 out of 10!
Ratchet deadlocked was one of my most admired games in the ps2 era.....they kinda screwed up the HD release but meh....i just used love these games so much....but when you get older you kinda start to lose interest...this series will always be my favourite game and i hope insomniac never quits making them

Arjun Sadashiv honestly i stopped liking the series when they went from "T for Teen" to "E for Everyone" literally RaC is the only franchise where those labels matter, considering that the humor went to shit after the swap and how the gameplay lost a lot of its ferocity when they changed their monsters to kittens. that leaves we with Up your arsenal and deadlocked my all time favourites. (Deadlocked was amazing when playing coop, and Arsenal had spunk from there arena type minigames)

Ratchet and Clank had lots of cool stuff, but walking in zero gravity, and gun combat in outer space, that is awesome.
Finally its about time they made an original game i thought the series was ruined but now they made this i can't wait to get it

This ain't too bad, actually. Quite reminiscent of Ratchet and Clanks 1-3, and Tools of Destruction.
What happened to the other lombax girl from going commando? Or the mayors daught or whatever from up your arsenal? I haven't played any of the ps3 ratch&clanks, so im a little behind on the story.
this is a lot further in the future to the original trilogy, which is why the PS3 trilogy is called Ratchet and Clank future.

MexicanArab123 Yeah same. I have always preferred the original trilogy to the future one. But I did like the mechanic in Crack In Time of how you fly the ship to each planet.
Read the comics they released, it futures most characters from the PS2 era

If you want to save ammo or are in a challenge that restricts what weapon you can use, You can kill the crab creatures by speading at them with your hover boots.

Haven't played the future arc in a long time. When I buy this game, should I start right Into The Nexus or start from the beginning (play Tools of Destruction > Quest for Booty > Crack in Time > Into the Nexus)?

Quest For Booty isn't necessary as the only tie it has to TOD and ACIT is that Ratchet finds the whereabouts of Clank right at the end of it, I guess it's more of a spin-off as it doesn't necessarily advance anywhere in the main games stories.

I've been trying to buy this game going on over 18 months now & I just can't get a hold of a copy anywhere.
So called proper high street or independent game store's that deal purely with games/consoles/accessories etc never have it in new or pre-owned & it's been pretty much like that since its launch date.
I know it can be difficult to get certain games on certain consoles especially when it's made for that particular console but its fast becoming a joke now trying to buy games in store (old generation or not) for consoles, especially the good games.
Online this title when I've seen it is so scarce & the price being asked is double or more than the rrp for it when it first was released & this is for a pre-owned one.
I know the PS4 is out now but it's just not doing it for me yet at the moment & neither is the Xbox One so logically I'm going to go for titles on previous consoles.
It almost feels like it was a deliberate action on the developers & Sonys side not to have as many copies published of this game on the PS3 so it wouldn't hurt sales & maybe even boost sales for the PS4 due to lack of availability!
I'm not a zealot of any of the consoles or the Pc (as I've had or have them all) & don't buy into that childish nonsense.
I just want to eventually be able to buy games for whatever platform I have without going down the usual bidding wars of rip off merchants on online sites...
Regarding Ratchet & Clank - Into The Nexus or just Nexus for the PS3 has anyone else out there had the same problems with regards to the availability of this particular title!
I've been buying games for many different systems for over 30+ years now & the only one I've had issues with the most regards to availability of stock & Tiltes only for that system is the PS3 what gives Sony!
As always enjoy whatever game on whatever platform out there as it's all about having fun...

This is a great game if your a diehard ratchet fan, it's bout 5 hours first play through so but longer then quest for booty but multiply play throught for the mega weapons is worth a replay, plus some of the new weapons are pretty awesome

One of the most fun games to play coop, me and a buddy did a 100% run in a single sitting was great. And I still remember most of the quips the announcer said. "Ratchet is on ice ladies and gentlemen, the juice is cold and the generic brand X gelatin is definitely jiggling!" xD

good game,i will buy it,but what happens with ratchet head?
I need help. I think Im gonna love this game however, grav-leap has been a bit wonky for me. The first time I used it, (held DOWN R1 then pressed X while holding down R1), Ratchet was moving toward the first green platform, though not magnetically attaching (I would like go of the buttons, he would snap back to floating. I kept doing this and he eventually got there, but it didn't feel natural. Then, the next section where he grab-leaped across different parts f the ship, no problem, flawless.
THEN, the section where Ratchet is outside, the same issue: would hold down R1, press X, Ratchet would thrust though never cling to the green platform. He would snap back, then, the "aim" area on the green platform got less and less and I could not get Ratchet to grab-leap! I am stuck here, can't move past it! I have reset the game, restarted the system, thinking glitch, nothing (I also updated the game).
Anyone know what I may be doing wrong? Can someone clearly tell me how to use grab-leap? The person in the video doing it so flawlessly, thanks!

Depends on how you play but Nexus can be beaten in about 5-6 hrs. For me, that is only a few hrs longer than Quest for Booty. I wish they would go back to the lengths of the PS2 trilogy or Tools of Destruction. I got 14-15 hrs out of those, sometimes more.
maybe due to the new movie + new ratchet and clank game for 2015 (ramake) they made this one smaller i guess, still looks good

There was "Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One" and "Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault" after Crack in Time and then comes into the Nexus.

It's the fourth and last installment in the Ratchet & Clank Future series. They are now remaking the first Ratchet & Clank game specifically for the PS4 hardware which will release next year. But to be honest they need a new platformer hero since Insomniac have two teams now. Ted Price belongs to that team who loves to make shooters. I don't care for that. As much as I disliked Fuse I have no faith in Ted Price anymore he isn't the creator of Spyro and Ratchet. He creates shooters like Disruptor, Resistance and Sunset Overdrive. Disruptor failed miserably so they contacted Universal to make Spyro and Mark Cerny was involved. Cerny still played a big part of Ratchet series on PS2. I don't know if Insomniac will find the magic again, they are very good at making platformers. Shooters, not so much.

TheGoldenPS1 Actually, Disruptor was the first game to have any sort of licensing deal with Universal.
That said, Disruptor was developed by the first 3 Insomniacs alone (Including Ted Price), and for it's sales numbers, it did pretty damn well.
Ted Price developed/directed:
-Disruptor
-Spyro 1-3
-Ratchet & Clank 1-3
-Resistance 1-2
Now Insomniac Games is much bigger (With a little less than 200 employees), and he has to actually act like the CEO of the company and not an employee. (He declared that in an interview.)
Brian Allgeier has directed all the Ratchet & Clank games since Ratchet Deadlocked, including the PS4 game, and Resistance 3, Fuse and SSO are directed by Marcus Smith. Not sure who runs Outernauts but yeah.
Ted Price is still a complete badass. He even knows that Resistance 2 wasn't a good fps and has taken complete blame for it, and has used that information to better Insomniac games as an independent company.
I don't think Insomniac should make another hero, since Ratchet & Clank are already enough to deal with. You have to remember, Insomniac is a small, independent company with only so many employees. The fact that they made 7 IPs alone is just true inspiration for other independent companies.

Anyway Ratchet and Clank games usually have some kind of statue or weapons, or something that refers to something of previous Ratchet & Clank Games, so there is always a chance you will hear things from these bonus games, or have return enemies. So it's best to play these also to understand the background.

Size Matters does which was a surprise, The reason I said full frontal assault, is because into the nexus had mention the main villain, which is Zurgo as a villain ratchet dealt with in the past (Full Frontal Assault), and Zurgo is a Qwark Fanboy who Ratchet run into way back in R&C: Going Commando, which he will trade you a bolt collector for a Captian Qwark Collectible, and he was upset with Ratchet at the time also. And the reason I said All 4 one, is because it deals with a time dr. Nefarious strikes again, and he was a villain in R&C: Up your Arsenal & and in Future A Crack In Time, and made an appearance in R&C: Deadlock at the end
