- VIDEO DESCRIPTION: Day by Day Vlogs of UA-cam stops by for a visit. They knew Duke (aka Johnny) and were seriously considering buying him before we did. Today they come to see how he is doing. Ever wonder what they are actually like in real life? Honestly, they were not what we expected and we were shocked to learn what they are really like when they are not on camera... and we are here to tell you what we discovered!
ABOUT US:
We moved from the city to the country one year ago, right before the Covid lockdown. So much has happened in the last year. We now have horses, chickens, baby chicks, guinea fowl, a very handsome rooster, 2 adorable bunnies and 2 dogs that are adjusting to country living (one more successfully than the other). We have undertaken many renovations (both inside and outside), love sharing tips/ tricks/ hacks, trying to repurpose items or do things on a budget, and are always looking for the next DIY project. We started taking videos for family and friends to keep them updated on our journey as we navigate trading in city life for life on the farm... and decided others may be interested as well. So here we are on UA-cam, and learning the in's and out's slowly but surely. I apologise for some of the poor video and audio quality, as well as wind in some clips. We have purchased a gimbal and quality microphones, and are working on continuously improving the video quality for future episodes (though I haven't quite figured out the outdoor microphones - I am working on it). Your patience and support are very much appreciated as we continue to learn how to produce quality videos.
We hope to produce video content that is entertaining (who doesn't love seeing cute animals), provides you with some inspiration and ideas of things you can try in your own life, and hopefully gives you some helpful information.

What a great story about buying a farm, renovating and doing a lot of different projects to get the farm how you want it. My husband and I have been doing the same thing over the last 3 years. It is very satisfying to get near the end of the tuff stuff 🙂. Looking forward to watching and seeing everyone grow 🙂👍🏻. Great story with Laura, Gabby & Sophie, didn’t see Sam but he was probably there as well, lovely family I agree.
Thanks. It is a work in progress and we always have several projects on the go, but we enjoy it. It is definitely satisfying to see all the work you have done and everything you have accomplished! Sam and Scott were chatting in the shade off camera - it was so hot! :)

Thanks. He is the sweetest horse. Kate prefers English, but Julia has both an English and Western saddle for Jack, and likes both styles of riding.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are going to our first show in August and will absolutely be filming the prep and actual show. We have already started filming some riding and will be getting that up shortly.

Welcome! Thank you so much! I think the horses are very lucky to have you and I am sure you have many fascinating stories. Of course, we would LOVE for you to share stories in the future. One of the positives that can come from social media is our ability to connect with others and share our unique experiences. We all have something different to offer… different opinions, knowledge, experiences and ways of doing things. I think as long as we are sharing opinions and information in a respectful and non-judgemental manner, we can all benefit. I will be the first to admit we are not experts, and I am sure we will make many mistakes. I think it is really important to be authentic for you guys though. When we put ourselves out there and share that side of things as well, it helps others learn from our mistakes. Diversity is empowering. I think when we share our experiences and knowledge with each other, and can be open to hearing what others have to offer, we help support each other and maybe give others some new ideas of things to try.
