what you mean this is what their missing, this is nothing like the old days, did you see how many cut aways they had, i dont know what movies you been watching but old school movies didn't have the amount of cutaways as this 3-minute clip showed, i know donnie yen up their in age, but just go watch his movies from the 80s-90s and you know, we will never have the oldchool action because movies nowadays feel the need to cut away.

Tell you what, before Ip Man, he did a shit ton of other movies with plenty of different styles, from Hung Gar to wushu to MMA, to chinese sword fighting. Some really notable ones being Once Upon a Time in China 2, Iron Monkey, Hero, ShaPoLan (SPL), Flashpoint, and Wuxia.
I can't really point where the problem is, whether it's the editing or the directing. The hits don't feel impactful at times, the choreography rhythm is all over the place, and the were so many unnecessary shots that slow the overall feel. Like why do I need to see her face like that at 1:33, why does she take the hot soup so carefully at 2:06 like she's pouring lovingly into a bowl for her child, and why the strange 'huh' at 2:39.
For anyone to have him in Star Wars and not put a lightsaber in his hand is criminal.
A man like donnie yen doesnt need a lightsaber.

That movie got way too little attaention. It's an amazing, beautiful and funny Wuxia story and a great sequel to the Tiger & Dragon saga.

JIBAROでもCGの元になったダンサーの表現力に感嘆しましたが、どんだけCGやワイヤーを駆使したにしても、基本となる武術の動きが達人でないと、ここまで見栄えしないので、ドニ―・イエンだけでなく、本作のすべての演者さん、すばらしいです。
もちろん、ブルースリーや初期のジャッキーチェンの筋肉の躍動も素晴らしいですが。
続編製作は10年以上前から告知されていたけどネトフリで作られたのは想定外だった。
