1999 Whirlpool Direct Drive Washer and Vintage 1986 GE Electric Dryer

A tour of the 1999 Whirlpool Direct Drive Washing machine model LSN1000HQ0 and the 1986 GE Electric Dryer model DDE7900BBLWH washing a load of dirty mop heads at work. dryer is 240 volts. Both work great. Back when things were built to last and it was quality not quantity. Now things are built to break like that scene in the movie the brave little toaster goes to mars where appliances on the assembly line are tampered with so they fall apart. Whirlpool even denies they ever built direct drives.
