Your opening images have been really beautiful lately - I'm impressed! I have no graphic design talents - lol. Lovely One sounds great - and I love to listen to memoirs on audio. I agree that historical fiction on smaller, lesser-known topics is often fascinating. I haven't read anything by Brian Doyle, but you've convinced me to give him a try! I knew you were leading up to Demon Copperhead - ha ha Whenever you get to it, you'll love it. I've heard SA Cosby's novels are very difficult emotionally. Good tip about the short stories! I've also heard a lot about Elizabeth Gaskell and keep meaning to read North and South - sounds like a good pick for Big Book Summer! How on earth do you pick my stick every time?? ha ha Thanks for the tag :) It's a fun one. One question - the prompts don't say so but is this supposed to be about books you haven't read yet? Seems like a want-to-read focus, right?
This is such a fun tag, loved hearing your answers! The Malas cover is beautiful! A lot of these sound interesting. I agree with you about hype, just sets you up for disappointment! You’re very patient though, delaying for that long 😊
All the Sinner's Bleed is really good but it was very distressing especially if you have kids! Make sure you are feeling really good emotionally before getting into it 😬
Yeah, that's what I heard about All the Sinners Bleed. I've been looking at it on my shelf for almost a year and I think I am just now getting to the point when I can read it!
Ooh, Malas sounds good. And hopefully Demon Copperhead is aging like a fine wine! I liked North and South. I think it's a solid Victorian choice whenever you get to it. Great range of choices in this video! Thanks for tagging me.

I'm sure my copy of 'North and South' is less than 500 pages.

Thank you for tagging me! It was a great excuse to raid my TBR bookshelf!

Glad to hear that you liked North and South--most people I've heard talk about it seemed to like it, so I'm hopeful!
