- We have an amazing 1988 (Phase II) Renault 5 GT Turbo. Previously owned by Ali-G our little 5 GT enjoys a quiet life with our Family. In this video Gregg (Dad) & Dave (Grandad) put the crankshaft back in as well as the Pistons including swapping the conrods from the old pistons to the new.

I hope you read this comment sooner than latter as from what i can see, you forgot the o-rings in the bottom of the cylinder liners.
Without them all your hard work will go to waste once you start the engine as the oil and water will mix togheter.

Honestly this is the sort of community I hope we can grow! Thanks for the very kind comment and advice. I did actually remember the o-rings, however cut it out of the video as I had to shrink a few hours down to a few minutes! Thanks again though.

Are u usein anythin on the bearings an piston rings an the liners they don't want goin in dry 🤔when u first turn the engine over wants to be lubricated
Indeed lots of assembly lube and also some engine oil at points. Thanks for watching and the advice. 👍
Vidéo sympa mais un peu courte en terme de montage moteur, tu as gardé les bielles et le vilebrequin d'origine, qu'elle cote as tu pris pour les coussinets de bielles et de vilebrequin ?
Ton montage tourne t'il sans contrainte?
J'ai pas l'impression que tu es beaucoup lubrifié..
Pour les segments as tu bien twisté a 120°?
