Facing a Mauga+Bastion combo while both are being pocketed was a nightmare. They’d time their cooldowns together and were joined at the hip. No Ana counter, no DPS flanking supports = ez gg
The passive buff and fire revert were warranted, but further increasing his armor was completely unnecessary. The model is barely wearing anything, no way he has armor while Doomfist, who's like 50% high-quality cybernetics has nothing.
And if we are changing characters on how they look why tf does Hanzo have a bow and arrow and able to kill a Reinhardt who is cladded in power armour or why can't sigma just perma fly across the map since he controls gravity
i played against the Mauga Bastion combo as tank the other day and I had to play Zarya and just support my dps. Almost no tanks can play into that combo.
@@fireblitz3438 Mauga is a brawl tank who is anti brawl, how do you deal with brawl, you Poke, Sigma is fantastic at that, Hanzo can basically get free headshots on Mauga too, of course Ana absolutely stomps on Mauga too
Dude we had 2 weeks before he entered comp why the hell did they wait till right before he dropped to give him another buff. They could of easily given him that buff 1 week in after the nerf to chainguns so we could give feedback and the developers could realize the mistake and revert some of the armor. But expecting the blizzard developers to think rationally is asking a lot

It’s a pay to win character. If he was shit, no one would buy him. But since he’s a monster, blizzard makes money and doesn’t give a shit about fair play.

Some people have other obligations kids or spouses so they can only designate maybe 1 day a week to play. I mean, for the title, of course 2 characters will most likely destroy one character lol but they will probably never gonna get the balance of this game right unless they do something with Ana's nade or the purple debuff as a whole.
Yeahhh mauga at first was able to dish out massive damage (he still does tbh) with a low survivability. they tried buffing the overhealth cuz of ana nade prolly, cuz overhealth will still build up even if u hentaied and extra armor for extra tankiness.
The last thing mauga needs is MORE health… he SHITS on squishies SO FUCKIN HARD! It’s ridiculous that you can’t break him unless he’s being hard focused!
Love how they just refuse to touch ana who’s literally the whole reason he sucks. It’s clear as day for anyone with a brain. Nerf ana nade and then you can tune down hog and Mauga so other tanks don’t feel awful to play against them
Of all the buffs he got last time the only one I wasn't happy with was the conversion of some health to armor, and now they made the *worse* alongside these other buffs. Mauga boutta be broken as hell.
Hog has an advantage towards that combo, and that is they they'll focus you so hard that you can just distract them with worrying about shooting only you and ur team has free access to shoot everyone
It is very boring that Blizzard added a enemy hero that forces you to be a punching bag and rely on your teammates to win the game for you, unless you also bought the Battle Pass.
"mauga is gonna be meta" as he should. there should be at least one season where he dominates, but somewhere along the line there's another balance patch for him. This is good.

Any hero that self heals should not have a high volume of armor, especially if said hero self heals WHILE shooting

Buffing Mauga on release was definitely to force people to buy the battle pass, unless you want to get stomped by him.
Or maybe because they gutted him in the last patch and they're still leaning how to balance him properly cause he's new.
